What an awesome spot to come visit. We came here as our second stop during a wine tour, but had so much fun we ended up just ending the day here and skipping the others. This spot stands out because of the awesome price point for the tastings which is 5 tastings for 10 dollars!! My favorites were the Zinfandel and the Syrah. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. It was pretty full this weekend, so I recommend bringing a smaller group if you can to make sure there is room! Our server Amy was fantastic and very knowledgeable. They are also dog friendly which is a huge plus for me. I'll be back!

All grapes are locally sourced, the Syrah is grown onsite

A nice relaxing vibe and good people running the place. Owner Malcolm is in it because he loves wine, and it shows, particularly in their unique reds. The wine club is a deal--12 bottles a year and unlike many, you get to pick some of them. Twin Oaks Valley isn't on any "wine trail," crowded with tour buses and drunk tourists. It's hidden in a little, semi-rural neighborhood in north San Marcos. Whether you're a longtime wine fan or just starting out, it's well worth seeking.

Friendly family run winery with a delicious selection of wines. I have tasted all of their wines and they are consistently flavorful. I am no wine expert, but have developed a decent pallet over the years and know in this case I can drop in pick up any bottle of wine and be totally satisfied. They also entertain special events like music, bbqs and trivia. The rural country feel is peaceful and pleasant. Enjoy.

So much potential in this space! Watch for exciting things to come. We tried coffee mead, which was unexpectedly delicious.

Friendly owner. The wine is very good and although the vineyard is small, it's a great place to order wine and support a small business!

There are two parking lots that we saw, one closer to the bottom which was gravel but would require a walk up two flights of stairs, or there's a lot closer to the tasting room (paved) but is more limited. We were able to snag a spot up at the top luckily. They have a two sample limit & then you can buy drinks by the bottle or glass. The day we went they were having a 25% off bottle sale. There was only one employee we saw during the entirety of our visit but he was super friendly. We ordered a bottle, the charcuterie platter and a pizza. The charcuterie board is refrigerated and they provide a bag of crackers as well. We went with the veggie pizza & it took maybe 20 minutes to come out and was absolutely delicious. The grounds themselves are absolutely gorgeous. There are 3 covered areas to sit at up top with plenty of seating. Down the first flight of stairs has a fish pond and some beautiful areas to walk around. I'm not sure if that area was where they do weddings as there was also a spot across the way with a dais, but we didn't make it over there. The wine was delicious! We tried two of the whites and the sweet rosé. I'm not normally a rosé fan, but it was my favorite wine I had there. Overall we had a really relaxing time with beautiful views. I highly recommend checking out Sunshine Mountain Vineyard.

Such a beautiful view that even teenage boys will stop and appreciate it!…read more I found a great deal on Groupon that included four glasses of wine and a charcuterie board, enough for four people. It was the perfect way to sample their wines while enjoying the scenery. We also ordered two pizzas: the Sunshine Cheese Delight and the Sunshine Meat Lover. Both were good and hit the spot. We added a large bag of Stellar Pretzel to share, and for dessert (because I absolutely have a sweet tooth), we tried the Sunshine Double Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu. I prefer sweeter wines and ordered the Rosa and Riesling , both were great and exactly what I was hoping for. A couple things to note: I had read in other reviews that there were servers, but when we visited, we ordered inside, were given a buzzer, and picked up our food ourselves. It was also pretty cold outside, and it took some time for the staff to turn on the warmers. We came on a Sunday and learned that live music starts at 3 PM. My husband and I definitely plan to come back for a date when there's live music playing. We were able to park near the top by the tasting room, which was convenient. There's also seating below near a beautiful waterfall and koi pond , it's a bit of a walk down (and back up). Overall, such a scenic spot with good food, sweet wine options, and a relaxing atmosphere. We'll be back!

There were at least six guests who requested vegan meals and were served a simple curry over rice. The salad was not vegan, the dessert was not vegan, and even the vegetables were cooked in butter, making them unsuitable as well. Meanwhile, other guests had multiple dish options to choose from. For such a high end wedding venue, the lack of consideration for dietary restrictions was extremely disappointing. The food overall felt like the weakest part of an otherwise beautiful experience, and it is the only reason I would hesitate to recommend this venue.

Fantastic let's do that. In the mean time feel free to use the pool, bathroom on the left to change. Went the pool. Two pools, not huge but has a little bar. The pool wasn't crowded but we struggled to find a chair that wasn't reserved with a towel; we spotted 1 empty chair under an umbrell, as we approached a young gentleman grabbed the chair at took it across the pool to the umbrella his family was under. Lol. Okay. We just sat our things on the concrete under the umbrella hoping it wouldn't be long and enjoyed the pool. After checking a couple times and our encounter with the OTHER, older front desk lady; our room was ready at 4. That's check in time. The room was large and pretty nice; we did notice the floors were a bit "damp". The little patio with the chairs and view, very nice. We were able to hear the live music coming from marina bar as we were sitting outside of our room taking in the view. We took out a paddle boat that was complimentary at check in. The lake itself is very nice, pretty peaceful considering it sits smack-dab in the middle of a neighborhood. What makes my review a 3.8 isnt the accommodation. Recommended. Walls too thin, had to complain about neighbor screaming loud sporadically, playing a game with his kids. They took care of it right away. Parking is fcfs. Coming back after 7pm is a pain. Amenities are wonderful. Coffee place was great, but sometimes the door is locked during hours of operation - you have to check the front desk for service. I would stay here again for the amenities.

I got here at 7:15 pm with the intention of leaving at 8:00 pm as I understand that's their closing time. Server told us they closed at 8pm, but patrons could stay up to 8:30pm. She stated she doesn't understand why "sunset is advertised online" when they are closed during summer sunset time. She seemed a bit annoyed at us, which I understood as closing time was happening soon. We left before other patrons did, prior to 8:30pm. I had no issue with that, my issue was with the way she spoke to my partner. As we were closing out she said we could not get a new glass, but could get topped off. My boyfriend asked if she could top off his glass, and she said something along the lines of "look at you using a new vocab word, you were paying attention to what I said". I'm not one who gets offended easily, but that comment came across as patronizing to me. Perhaps that wasn't her intention, but it was how it was perceived. Such a shame. I'd love to continue coming back, I just hope future interactions are more welcoming.

I'm glad this place gives me the space to do that. I want to go back to try different dishes and wines, browse the shops, and save room for dessert! Perhaps I will come on a Friday since they have a farmer's market that day from 9am-1 pm! I had a date night and went on a Saturday, 2 hours before closing. We ordered Calabrese Pizza, Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza, Parmesan Fries, and Rigatoni & Vodka Sauce Pasta. My goodness, everything was GOOD! The Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza was my favorite, pure perfection of flavors. I know there's always a debate with pineapple on pizza but this apple and gorgonzola makes sense, I don't think anyone would ever question it. The parmesan fries was so yummy as well, you get a HEFTY amount. We actually didn't finish a good amount and took this home along with a few slices of pizza. Pasta was delicious as well, there was leftover pasta sauce that we just scooped up with the crust of the pizza. The ambience - amazing and beautiful. It is pretty spread out. I've only been here a couple times but I was able to find a table both times aside from the good amount of people the times I've came. We sat inside the tasting room and the food came out promptly. I do love that on hot days they will turn their misters on, great touch Way to keep us cool! We decided to do the Traditional Wine Tasting where you get six 1.5 oz pours of your choice for $32. Also, you can get free chocolate to pair with your wine at the dessert shop. Delicious, everything I ordered was what I needed. Everyone here just seems incredibly nice. From the people who took your order at the Kitchen, food runners, pourers, even the lady at the dessert shop (even though we didn't get any dessert lol) was friendly. We wanted to get dessert, but we had 15 minutes left till closing, however she didn't rush us out the outside area. I saw that there was a sugar free pistachio gelato flavor. I love that, seems like it was a hit because it was nearly all out! Next time I do go, I definitely want to try that and their cannolis!!! I love Cannolis. Anyways, back to the wine tasting, I believe her name is Cecilia (?), She was great. Great service along with the other pourer at the counter. I did not catch her name but she has blonde short hair and was very nice and friendly as well! Overall, 10/10, & I will be back very soon.
