This cute boutique lingerie shop has a ton of potential as it is prime location with plenty of parking nearby and beautiful pieces of lingerie. As someone who struggles finding lingerie that fits due to my less than ample assets and looking for something exceptional Bellefleur was recommended to me by Cheryl from Belle Boudoir. After her recommendation, looking at the website, and reading the reviews I was super excited to check them out. Sadly me experience did not live to my expectations. Oh the product was gorgeous. Beautiful bras, fun panties, body suits, soft camisoles, and much more. Small shop with a lot of selection. The shop was cute, soft lighting, good sized dressing rooms, nice displays. It had so much! I am a novice. I don't know what is flattering, if I am wearing the right sized bra, nothing. When I entered I had this expectation of customer service but I never received what others spoke of. The young lady behind the counter glanced up, said hi, went back to the computer. I gave the benefit of the doubt thinking she may just be giving me time but after accidentally knocking 3 bra sets off the rack and she still didn't look up I realized she wasn't offering help. So I asked her for help. I told her why I was there. She told me she had no ideas and had never heard of Belle Boudoir which I thought was interesting since it's a business recommending another business. As I gathered sets as I was determined not to leave empty handed I saw three other women come into the store and leave with no more than a hi and a bye from the young lady behind the counter. After I shopped further she started making a few recommendations and her recommendations were solid! But it took me over 30 minutes before she started to engage me and most people don't have my patience. It could simply be she's new and still finding her groove but it's not what I expected. Buyer Beware: I used to work in retail, and I have to say I can't think of another store with a "no returns" policy. I was extremely disappointed. I received an expensive gift of lingerie (unfortunately they left the price tag on it..), and as it's out of our budget, I went down in a few days to return the unworn, untouched item. I could not!! So I am stuck with a credit of $156 which, when I saw the store, I realized I cannot ever imagine buying anything that I would wear. I discovered this place when I was preparing for a boudoir shoot with Cheryl Jones. The first thing I have to say is this place is a hazard...to your wallet! I have always been a simple, no frills kind of girl. Fancy for me was the mall's Victoria's Secret. When I arrived at this adorable boutique I was immediately met with awesome customer service and given a proper bra fitting. I've always had wonderful customer service each time I've gone. Bellefleur has some of the most gorgeous lingerie I've ever seen. The prices are very high (like makes you gulp when you hand over your credit card) but they are like art pieces in their quality. I've bought bras, underwear, stockings, garters, body suits, body jewelry, and pajamas here and I almost don't want to wear them because they are so beautiful! (They also made my photo shoot just incredible and I'm thankful that Seattle has a place that could really take that experience to another level). If you're looking for a place that will make you feel like a goddess - Bellefleur is it! I always know when I've found something to buy because I start posing in the mirrors :D I also find it very helpful (and again dangerous) to follow their Instagram and emails to see the latest amazing inventory. After walking by the boutique so many times, I decided to stop in and see what can be offered. I particularly know what to look for since I only shop at lingerie/strictly bra shops as you pay for the solid quality and the investment of a healthy back, and happy boobs and have heard everything. Or so I have thought. I worked with Ellen and she educated me that they do not do measurements with a measuring tape. It was....alarming. I'm a lady of accurate numbers and also armed with a solid understanding of every bra is different. So I decided to indulge, and do things her way. Which was hand measurements on herself of how things work, and trying (myself) on 2-3 bras before figuring out a size. So band of 32 and a cup of DD. The bras in the boutique are beautiful, delicate, and elegant. Certainly not your every day bras which really bummed me out. It's the feel of wearing a sexy bra under your street clothes and it's your secret...I had hoped this boutique had provided that like my beloved shop in Oakland, Revelation Fit (huge hint to Lindsay the owner to check them out and maybe open a second shop to that model) Limited selections and sizes. If you're bigger than a DD....eh good luck I didn't see anything in those sizes when I poked around. The customer service started out spectacular, even though it was just me, Ellen had checked in on me a few times while I had tried on the 8-12 bras she picked out for me. Towards the end a few more customers came in and I no longer had her attention. It then went downhill as another customer opened the door (they are loud and you know when someone is in need of help or leaving) she darted off before I could ask another question. I gave up and left. My bra shopping trip successful? Yes, I found one bra but did not purchase...due to my questioning of...is this an everyday bra? Maybe, I'll need to shop around before I pay the tag. I'm doing my best to avoid Nordstrom's, I'll see what's in Portland and maybe....just get a flight to Oakland to buy from a place with more selection. It's a nice lingerie store but you will get ripped off. I went in to purchase some items and was blown away at the prices when I could get something very similar and probably better at Victoria's Secret. Additionally, they do not let you return for refund. Which, is fine except that they don't tell you. I went to return an item and ended up exchanging for something I didn't even like. On top of that, they have VERY limited sizing. Anything I did like, they didn't have in my size or even a similar size. Be 100% sure if your purchase before buying. read more

This place is a jewel box of scant, delicate, precious things - and priced accordingly. It can be very expensive for the covetous soul, and some of the stock is just so heartbreakingly pretty that you will be sorely tempted to weigh your children's college fund against the chance to live out entire days knowing just what loveliness lies beneath your unprepossessing work exoskeleton. I tried on one simple panty that...well, for godsakes, how can a panty really be worth 80 bucks? That's what I thought, too. But I think this was the most beautiful thing I've ever wrapped my hips in. The top, sensuously soft band spans the hips like a ribbon, and scallops downward in a V in the front like the downward plunge of a heart. The lace below is exquisite. It ebbs and flows in weave. The black seaming creates a sensuous shape in a way that's almost lyrical, accenting curves and falling away just where it should. It wasn't just beautiful - it was transformative. If you're not in dire financial straits (and know that I have indeed been in dire financial straits, in which case do NOT blow your hard-earned cash on underwear. Love, your financial advisor) transformative is worth 80 bucks, if anything is. Many of the bras at Bellefleur ride lower in the back than others I've bought, which creates a much smoother profile both at the back and the sides. Lindsey is an expert sizer, so don't be surprised to find you're in the wrong band or cup size (I went down in the band, but stayed up the cup, and the fit is perfect so far). As they get to know you, they'll note your size and your preferences, so should any certain someone want to make a significant investment in the hotness and longevity of your ongoing relationship, s/he will have full intel. The sales aren't that sales-y. You will never save enough money for this to be a prudent financial decision - don't even hold out for that. Just go in. Feel beautiful. Bellefleur is a dangerous store. It is the femme fatale of stores, if that femme fatale was somehow also really down to earth, practical, and helpful. I have a boudoir photo shoot coming up - just because! I wanted to feel fancy - so I needed new lingerie, as everything I owned wasn't nice enough. (This is because I am of the school of thought that a pair of underwear should not cost me more than $5 and a bra no more than $50 or so - I buy almost all of my underthings at Nordstrom Rack or similar.) I decided to visit Bellefleur because it has wonderful reviews and I've been inside before and it wasn't a scary experience. I went in and immediately the two saleswomen acknowledged me with a friendly hello. I knew that I was wearing the wrong size bra, but I had some idea of what it SHOULD be. (It feels like my boobs are always one step ahead of me.) I asked for a fitting to confirm what I already "knew." Ellen helped me, and it was obvious right away that she really KNOWS bras. She put me in a bra in the size that I was wearing, and was able to eyeball the fit to determine that I had the right band size but that I was meant to wear one cup size larger. I've been repeatedly mis-sized by lingerie fitters in Victoria's Secret, Soma, and Nordstrom. It was such a relief to be in the hands of someone who actually knew what she was doing and was able to explain her reasoning. She also knew what would look best for a boudoir shoot, and showed me some examples. Then I was set free - my preference - to roam the store and pick things out. Whenever I had more than two or three bras in my hands, Ellen or the other saleswoman would whisk them away to the fitting room. They have such beautiful stock! It's obviously a carefully selected, if somewhat limited, selection. They don't have a sale section that I noticed, and everything is definitely pricey (but the price is dictated by the quality of each garment). Upon review at home I found that my choices were marked up something like $20 from what they would've been on a site like Figleaves.com, but when you buy a bra online you don't get the benefit of Ellen's expertise and the ability to touch everything, and you have to pay upfront to try things on that may not work. I would suggest that you go to Bellefleur if you really want the whole experience, and to feel pampered and understood. Buy the thing(s) you most love (and document the things that you liked but weren't quite sure about, so you can look them up online). My only issue with Bellefleur is pretty small - the fitting rooms are a little dark (which is better than hideous fluorescent lighting that makes me feel like a naked troll) and overly warm. I entered the store without knowing anything about it. I saw their things were beautiful and not mass produced. In fact, they carry a lot of French and British lines as well as items hand-made in Canada. The prices are still very reasonable, though. I asked the elegant saleswoman which bras were their most comfortable and she gave me two options in the size I requested. I tried the first one on and it was almost funny. This is not an uncommon experience for me. I get the "most comfortable" bras typically because they are loose and easy to wear. But this time I noticed a sign offering free fittings and asked the saleswoman for help. She measured me and it turns out I am not a 34B or a 36C, the two sizes I am most often put into. I have been measured at La Perla, Saks Fifth Avenue, Victoria's Secret and Intimacy, to name a few. I'm 40 years old and I have never succeeded in having a bra fit me comfortably. I figured I just have an odd shape and had to deal with this. The woman measured me and told me I am a 32D. I laughed out loud because this seemed ridiculous (I'm 5/8, fairly big boned and about 135 lbs) but I agreed to try on her suggestions. She brought me four bras and I could not believe it, but each one fit wonderfully. It's been over a week since I bought all four of these (two with matching undies) and I have rotated through each one twice. Like she predicted, they are getting more comfortable as the starches wear off and they conform to my body. For those who may be similarly size confused, I enthusiastically recommend this place. The saleswoman explained to me that bras are measured from under the armpit and forward to the chest bone. Unless you are "top heavy" (breasts that create a lot of cleavage), your size may not look like the traditional visual idea. And she said most women are not top heavy, though enhanced breasts are done this way. She was very nice and explained all this in a matter-of-fact and friendly manner. This place is the best. Seriously. Like another Yelper noticed, it has changed my world. Who knew that I could feel so comfortable and be so defined at the same time? And the bras, priced $35-$53 are really pretty. My roommate and I walked into Bellefleur on a whim, and within moments we were both in fitting rooms being fitted for bras, as it turned out, we were both wearing the wrong size. I had never been comfortable in bras, despite being fitted at VS a few times they always told me I was one size, even though they never fit right, I just assumed I didn't fit bras well,as it turns out, I was squeezing my girls into the wrong size all these years! I bought 3 bras at Bellefleur, I would have bought 4 but they were sold out of the strapless bras in my size, so I'll be back soon, and these bras are so comfortable that I can forget that I'm even wearing one! From now on this is the only store that I will buy my bras from, the prices may be a little higher, but you get what you pay for. Jennifer also wrote a book about underwear, and I highly recommend it, I read the whole thing in a day, it was so good! Jennifer also explained to me what bras I should wear based on the shape of my breasts, explaining why different styles would be more or less flattering, which was such a revelation to me. Ladies don't waste your time and money on Department stores, or worse, chain store naughty bits. I know the catalogs look tempting and the half-yearly sale calls out. Don't do it! Chances are good that you are not sporting a Victorias Secret body and the truth is those catalog models are not wearing off the rack (pun intended) sizes... those Miracle bras are tailored to Miss Tyra's curves. Save your time and your latte money and go the Bellefleur. They will find the right bits and pieces that fit your bits and pieces. You do not have to walk around this planet with back-fat bra bulges or visible panty lines or yoga pant camel toes. There is help out there and you need the nurturing environment of a tiny boutique. It may be more expensive for some items, but you will reach for those bras and panties again and again, while the ones with "PINK" emblazoned on your snatch will finally be relegated to the back of the drawer... good riddance! read more

I wandered into this store a few years ago. When Ellen asked if she could help me I quickly dismissed her, saying they did not carry anything in my size. Ellen asked me what my size was, then politely but firmly suggested that I was wearing the wrong size. Not only did she offer to size me but she also recommended that I go to Nordstrom's to get confirmation. It was recommended that I go down three band sizes and up three cup sizes. Talk about a difference in fit! Over the years they have continued to educate me on the proper fit and style for my shape. When I first started shopping here I had sticker shock. I was used to spending $40-50 on a bra at VS or Macy's. Now I realize the value of good lingerie. The bras and panties fit better and last for years! No more underwire poking through or panties that tear. I can not talk enough about the quality. Nothing is mass produced. All items are made in smaller factories that have fair trade practices. Recently Ellen was explaining to me how each bra is put on a mannequin to insure proper fit. This explains both the consistently good fit as well as quality. Once they get to know you and your preferences, they will contact you when something you want arrives in the shop. I am a hard to find size, and I travel a lot. They will send me emails with photos of a new item and then keep it on reserve for me until I am back in town. To the man that complained about not being able to go sit back by the dressing rooms...this wonderful lingerie shop is ran by women for women. I love the fact that I never have to worry about a man being in the fitting area. I've stopped in here a couple times over the past couple years for specialty items and have always left incredibly pleased. My most recent trip was for a bridesmaids dress bustier with a low back. The woman helping me was not only very professional and friendly, but she suggested cheaper options than what I initially gravitated toward; an obvious sign of wanting me to be happy with my purchase and not just make the big sale. She sized me, helped me test out the garments with my dress on, and even showed me ways I could lower the back more (don't do up all the hooks, and just fold the remaining fabric under itself). I left the store confident, and was just as comfortable on the wedding day, in my get-up for 9 or 10 hours. If I had the money, I would stock my entire lingerie drawer from here!! read more

Although I have appreciated quite a few things from this store, I never used any of it first hand ;-) That said, I am a frequent long-time client. The quality of their merchandise is superb - they do not sell a single thing made in China and their stuff lasts! The ladies who work there have been there for years and are very good at finding just the perfect fit. Word of advice guys - unless you are 100% sure of her size, buy a gift card. Ladies love the shopping experience here and frankly that's almost half the fun for them! The store is private, classy and discreet, yet not at all sleazy or skanky. No sex toys, or cheap massage oils here - it's not that kind of a place. The owner once told me that nearly half of their clients are from out of state and come to the shop when they are in town and that says a lot! A lot of what they carry is limited production run, so it's truly unique and the quality really shows - you will not find this stuff in the malls. All things being equal, their prices are very reasonable - not what I would have expected from a small boutique, yet their tag shows that you did not cheap out of a thoughtful gift. After literally being reduced to tears after going to Victoria's Secret, Macy's and Nordstrom trying to find a bustier for my wedding, my day was completely turned around after coming here. The lady at the store, Ellen, was a complete professional and made me feel extremely comfortable (unlike the girls at Victoria's Secret who have a way of making you feel bad about yourself by just looking at you). I found out that I was wearing the wrong sized bra the whole time and was stunned at how well a bra in my actual size fit me. The atmosphere in the store is very mature and welcoming, considering they're selling bras and underwear and sexy things. Even my fiancé felt comfortable hanging out in the store while I was trying things on - and he doesn't even feel comfortable in a women's SHOE store :P When shopping at the other stores the sales ladies didn't even offer to do a bra fitting just told me that they didn't have anything in (what I thought was) my size, and turned their backs. Not here. I can't tell you how happy I am. I ended up ordering the bustier and buying 3 bras as well. I may have a new favorite store! I needed something sexy and fun for some boudoir photos and the photographer, Christina Mallet, suggested this place for fabulous lingerie. I stopped by and spent nearly two hours here trying on many fun little numbers! The owner was super helpful and picked out items I normally wouldn't have chosen for myself. She was great about helping me decide on something that I would look good in but would also photograph well. I came out of there with a sexy, vintage Wendy Glez bra & underwear set that is super hot. I spent over $100 on this little combo but being that it's cute and comfy I will definitely get some use out of it. Overall, the lingerie here is a bit more expensive than a department store but the selection is much better and you'll come out of there knowing that you'll be sporting something sexy and unique. The owner is also good about selecting something for your budget and won't push you to buy something out of your price range. I have been a follower of Bellefleur's Instagram account for a while and fall in love with the inventory that comes (and goes quickly) through the door there. I have been to the shop on two separate occasions and both times were wonderful. The staff is welcoming, attentive and non-judgmental. They are quick to offer suggestions and let you know what new pieces they have in stock. I used to walk by and stare longingly at the displays in the window. I finally went in a couple of years ago and bought a couple pieces that I love. In the past few months I've randomly developed a revived interest in lingerie and husband and I have been going in pretty frequently. Each piece that I own is gorgeous and high quality. Each time I've been there lately, I've been helped by a woman (whose name I need to get next time!) who I think is the manager - she's always been so warm, friendly, and super helpful. Last time we were in, she told us about the Lingerie Fashion show that was coming up in December. Husband and I thought it'd be a fun thing to do so we went home and bought tickets. The Fashion show was last night and when we first arrived, we weren't sure what we'd gotten ourselves into. (The crowd was... interesting?) Bellefleur really supports local business and artists (bartending by the folks down the street at Roxy!) But the lingerie show itself was a lot of fun. The models this time were the girls from Hike Pretty - which I'm still not sure what "Hike Pretty" is but the girls were phenomenal. I was really thrilled to see that Bellefleur was supporting women of all shapes and sizes and sends a really healthy, body positive message. The girls were gorgeous and looked amazing - they were all different and were not what you might see plastered all over the pages of some crappy lingerie catalog (like... I don't know, Victoria's Secret or some nonsense.) I already loved Bellefleur and all they have to offer, but this just made me love them more. We walked out last night having made yet another purchase (there were several things I wanted but we had to settle for one, for now). It can be pricey, it's true but one, I don't believe in "fast fashion" - I would rather plunk down the money for some amazing pieces that will last than a few pennies over and over again for something that falls apart and that I don't really love. Well, that worked just as I planned. I wanted a springy new set of undergarments to wear on Easter so that kids wouldn't be the only ones enjoying the Sunday treasure hunt. I was the only one in Bellefleur for about an hour and the shopkeeper, Sarah, was a godsend. Everything in here is gorgeous and the prices, while on the higher end, do vary from brand to brand. They carry Marie Jo, Elle MacPherson, Betsey Johnson, and many more - and they have a sale rack of bras/nighties/robes. This isn't a shop for your everyday, day in and out bras and panties. This is where you go for the special necessities. Sarah knew my goal for the day and was a joy to work with. She asked if I knew my fitted size, I said, "Oh, yes - it's ___." Beat. Hold. She looks up and down my frame. "I think you're smaller." Well, Sarah, you've got my attention and my lifelong friendship at that, so let's start shopping! She was most helpful in teaching me the ins-and-outs of an undergarment I've been wearing for more than twenty years and never fully understood. She checked out each style on me and made recommendations. I easily could have purchased four or five, but since my favorite, gorgeous, perfect Marie Jo flowered piece was not on sale and exceeded the triple digit price tag, I left it at that. Note - I easily could have spent 1/3 of that price, so don't let that deter you. But this is a keeper - with matching undies I feel happy and satisfied with this set. I got brought here by my S.O. to buy me a lingerie set as a holiday present, and I was planning on ferretting out the one unpadded unwired bra in the store, grabbing the matching panties, and fleeing before I got stabbed in the boob by an underwire or suffocated by push-up pads. Instead, the lovely lady working the counter greeted us, listened to my brief rant about wires and foam, and showed me to a dressing room. I stood there slightly awkwardly in my jeans and sweater (no bra, as you might have guessed) while she eyeballed me. We walked out with an adorable longline bra and thong set for just about $100, and it's been worth every penny. Bellefleur is just about as cute as a lingerie shop can get! They definitely know their stuff, and have all kinds of under garments for every lady out there. Sarah not only helped me figure out what styles flatter me the most, but she also gave me tips on finding a good fitting bra that would be most comfortable. Plus, if you like any of the styles and they don't have your size, they will order it for you for free. If you get lucky and come during one of their sales, you can snag lots of beautiful French undies and bras for deals. Bellefleur is an amazing shop with beautiful, high quality lingerie and excellent customer service. They take the time to fit you well and understand what you're looking for--I have loved everything I've gotten there. They have amazing customer service and I say this because I basically came right before they were set to close and didn't feel the least bit rushed. The only thing is the larger size selection was very limited. I was told they sell out faster than anything else which is typically the case for stores like this. I REALLY wanted to give them 5 stars, but I could not after my last experience which makes me sad. I hosted a bachelorette party her for my friend and it was great. Working with the owner was a pleasure and everyone, especially the bride-to-be, loved the party. After such a great experience, I have gone back numerous times to the store and have always loved what I purchased. So, it's safe to say that I have become a regular shopper here. When I decided to do a boudoir photo shoot Bellefleur was my go-to shop for my outfits. I bought 10 different outfits and I loved all of them except for one. When I went back return one bra and panty set that I never wore, I was told that I couldn't because the very short 14 day return period had ended. Since I was out of the country for those 14 days, I was hoping an exception would be made, but they would not budge. Beware that they will only accept returns/exchanges within 14 days. If I had known this, I would have taken my business to Nordstroms which sells a lot of what they have. I thought I was doing the right thing by supporting a local business, but it kind of bit me in the butt. read more

I've never purchased lingerie before, and after my first visit to Bellefleur I can't imagine shopping anywhere else for bras or lingerie sets. The customer service is amazing. Lindsey was attentive and so helpful, and she explained proper sizing without strapping me in a tape measure once; I went down a band size and up in cup size and cannot express the difference it made. The pieces are so beautiful and are crafted with care, and the price tag definitely reflects it. But like most quality purchases, it's not unexpected. I'll definitely be back! read more

Not great for regular bras. They were unable to find something that fit me and acted as if it was my fault for being the wrong shape. This wasn't a size issue either, they just didn't like that I wouldn't accept a bra that pinched me. And I would have overlooked the huge spider in the dressing room if the clerk hadn't made me kill it myself and then left the body there. read more
