Wish has been a wonderful neighborhood go to store when I've needed to purchase a gift for someone, or when I myself wanted a pick me up. Not going out shopping these days, conveniently located in the heart of Wallingford, it has been a real treasure. It's like going in to visit friends who seriously want to help, if you need it. I'll miss them since the developers have absconded on this strip where lovely small businesses were the mainstay. I will keep in touch with this store, and continue to search them out when they move. What a cute shop with unique fashion! I loved their selection of cute pants/jeans and the decor utilizing the vintage lockers on the side wall. The lady working here was sweet and pointed out a few things and then left us to wander around. They had lots of cute new items and two big sale racks as well. There were cute accessories such as handbags and jewelry to go along with the nice selection of clothing. A lot of the product are designed in Seattle - I loved that! I love this shop. I've been a loyal customer since Wish opened. Wish is on my daily dog walk and they always welcome me and my little beagle in so I can shop. The owner is wonderful and always willing to go the extra mile to find an item or size I need. Not as good of deal as they advertise. Shipping is crazy high. I have recieved several shirts and they were pretty but very cheaply made. I ordered a sofa cover and it came in and did not fit as well as being able to see the other sofa right through it. I ask for a refund several times and sent many pictures at thier request. I was refused. They played games with me asking for different posses, different pictures of the label, with it spread out....l you name it and then it was the same story, "we can not take it back". read more

This is a great little boutique. It definitely reminds you of the cardinal rule of clothes shopping: TRY IT ON. My friend and I both found really cute little sumer dresses after many misses each. We are two totally different sizes with completely different needs when it comes to dresses. We probably tried on 4-7 dresses each and we both found something we couldn't live without. There are lots of other cute things in the store also. I scored the cutest purple 3/4 sleeve turtleneck from the clearance rack outside the store. Once again, lots of misses, but when it's right, it is SO right. I also loved the little handmade cards. I got a beautiful one to send to a friend. Prices run anyhere from $26-70 for a dress depending on the fabric and style of each one. Love it and will return. read more

Wish is a cool little store in Phinney Ridge with funky lights, clothes with panache, and a smattering of other neat things. Check out the cool soft lighting they have, like the shaped, cloth-covered wire-formed lights and the beautiful star cutout hanging ones.... always a favorite of mine! If you drive there from the South, you'll know you're there when you see the fairytale mural on the wall above it. Somewhat $$ but there is always a sale rack outside too. Great place for gifts or if you just hate to wear what everyone else is wearing. read more

I don't normally give negative reviews on places but this place deserves it. I bought a dress, yes it was on sale, and when i went to wear it that night the tie broke off. I didn't really care I just took it back and tried to exchange it because I really liked it. She wouldn't do an exchange on it even though it was literally falling apart at the seams. I realize it was on sale but when its bad construction they should at least allow me to exchange it. I am a big boutique shopper, specifically because they are usually easier to work with if anything happens and you feel like you are dealing with a person who actually cares. I do appreciate that she sewed the tie back on but she shouldve just exchanged it. read more

I used to live directly across the street from Wish and, let me tell you, it is an awesome neighborhood store. You're not going to find your quart of milk or Sunday Times here. You are going to find an amazing array of baubles, and bangles, and beads. Everything is attractively displayed making it so much fun to wander around searching for treasures. It is clear the very friendly folks who run the place put a lot of care into selecting items that are high quality and interesting. Prices are quite reasonable for a shop of this sort. More than once, I found myself walking out with a trinket or two that a half hour earlier I did not know I had to have. Every time I go back to Greenwood, I am happy to see Wish is still going strong. It is so hard for small stores like this to succeed; they are obviously doing something right. I'm hoping they stick around for years to come. read more

So I should start out by saying I am sitting here typing this out dressed in a dress from Wish! I have only been there once and $300 something dollars later I left with 6 dresses, 1 candle, and a blazer. If you are doing the math on that one right now, yes they have AMAZING prices. The sales girl was sweet, helpful and everything she told me to try on was a perfect suggestion and I ended up buying every single one. They also have these amazing lamps and chandeliers hanging that were calling out to me but I saved for a future purchase! They also had an enjoyable amount of knick knacks to entertain me and my wallet. Wish has a certain style: bohemian meets girly girl meets sexy so you are either going to love everything or hate everything I would imagine. Lucky for me I loved every single thing and honestly would have bought one of everything. PROS: cute shop, cute sales girl, adorable merchandise, FANTASTIC PRICES as the dresses are all under $50!!!!!! EVEN BETTER SALES PRICES!!! (Do NOT miss the sales rack outside I got the deals of century, I had to pinch myself to make sure, I thought you could only get prices like that in overcrowded, disorganized Forever 21 stores!) CONS: the store is pretty small in size, only one dressing room, the dresses run small so don't have a heart attack if you go up in size and if you are a plus size I would just not even try anything on (my girlfriend did and had major weight issues all day from it), THEY DO NOT DO RETURNS only exchanges and store credit, so it is not the place to go crazy in shopping and expect to return it after admiring it for a week (don't lie we all have done it once in our life) Overall it's a great shop that will be getting lots of return business from me! I find it endearing that places like this exist where I wouldn't mind owning one of everything! Little candle chandeliers line the ceiling and clothing and gifts decorate the walls. This is one of the only clothing boutiques in Wallingford, so I frequently stop by to browse. I have bought a few items of clothing and some jewelry as well as a couple of gifts. The store is cute, but I'm usually underwhelmed by the actual clothes. I have found one or two things I've loved, but only one or two in almost two years of going to this store. The main reason I am docking stars for this review is that the shopping experience is always really, really annoying. I guess they train their employees to talk your ear off the entire time you're there about anything and everything. I understand a greeting and asking if I need help, but seriously every time I pick up an item, the person working (ALL of them that I've experienced) rush over to tell you how cute it is, how awesome it is, how many of it they have at home, what they wear it with, and yes, even WHAT IT IS. Okaaaaay... thanks; I know it's an infinity scarf. I feel like I can't touch or pick up a single item without inspiring a barrage of worthless information and observations by Miss Obvious. Since there are so few other places nearby to look for clothes on a whim, I keep going here; but seriously, I have developed a cringe reaction every time I open the door anticipating the over-the-top customer engagement... And I'm from the South and I like friendly!! This is just phony and annoying. Please just let me shop and I will be more likely to buy. read more

The prices and selection are awesome!! I absolutely love the taste of the buyers and designers with Wish - I walk in and right away can identify 50 things I feel the immediate need to put on my body. Everything is adorable. And I love how often the stock changes! I go in nearly every week and find something new each time. I have to be careful though, so that I don't end up spending my entire paycheck here... It *is* small, but I adore that it's a boutique, the items are unique and yet they still have a great sale rack and plenty of selection. I wish Wish was bigger! It's a tiny location, however it's packed with treasures. I don't exactly think it's the cheapest little boutique, but you probably won't run into anyone else wearing the same clothes as you. Super cute store, so why four stars? 1. Well, it's tiny. 2. I've stopped in here a few times because I work close by and have always had a pleasant experience. Obviously the clothing style won't be for everyone but most of the stuff I find is right up my alley. I've bought a couple of pieces from here and have loved all of them - the prices are reasonable and the quality is good. I would advise trying the clothes on in the store - the sizes seem a little on the smaller side (perhaps they're misses, I haven't checked.) Anytime I've been browsing the staff there has been very helpful, asking to hold items/put them in the dressing room for me. Aside from their clothes they have a lot of cute little trinkets and accessories. I also had a really nice experience with a gentleman (I have forgotten his name, I want to say Scott?). I was going to my boyfriend's mom's for Christmas and was at a complete loss for what to get her. He helped me pick out three things and she loved them all, was totally blown away. Funky fun shop, I was just checking out Phinny and found this. Has jewelery and fun little items... and then the dresses! the clothes are fun and just a little Seattle edgy. Anything beyond jeans and fleece is pushing it for seattlites. I found a cute charcoal dress that you could dress up or down. And most of the dresses were around $50! they said they get in new items every week. Can't wait to get some of my friends there. read more

When you see a lamp in the front window it's going to spark your interest. Sheer brilliance Shane one of the owners was very very helpfull and even gave me a 10% discount on the lamp I decided to buy. There's a bit of something for every one and a nice selection of clothing. Next time I'll have to pick up some of the jewlery because it's pretty cheap..depending on the style but all in all every piece was beautiful, classic and timeless. I almost bought an *adorable* dress for $48 - I looooved it, but the darn thing was a mustard color, and I don't think I have the skin color to pull it off. :-( There are tons more than just clothes: all sorts of odds and ends, fancy soap, tiny boxes, adorable (and light!) compact mirrors for $3.95, scarves for $16, peruvian glass earrings for $17, pretty handbags for around $35... lots of jewelry. Used to love this store but I'll never come here again. Extremely rude man (owner?) made it clear he doesn't want my business. I stopped by at 11:27am and was confused because one sign said open but another sign said closed. The door was unlocked so I came inside. Man appeared and I asked if they were open. He said, "well I just turned on the lights but since you opened the door and you're in, you can shop." I told him I was confused because one sign said open and one sign said closed. He repeated that since I was "already in" because I "opened the door" then he guessed I could shop. I offered to leave and come back later. I asked if he opened at 11:30. He said "no, I open at 11 but I am only 1 man and had things to do this Monday morning." WTF? I told him I'd take my business elsewhere and left. Thankfully I needed to pick up pet supplies so headed next door to Wally Pets which always give 5 star service. Now THAT place knows how to treat customers! read more

I went in because I needed some new sterling silver earring clip/clasps and live really close so rather than drive to a specialty shop I thought Id just buy a whole pair of earrings and take off the clip/clasp part. She totally could have sold me a pair or earrings and made an easy sale but instead she directed me to fusion beads on stone way to save me money which was super nice of her. I returned an item to the store the following day with tags still attached. It was the only thing in the store that interested me at the time. I explained I did not live in the USA. They refused to refund the amount and only offered store credit. There was nothing posted regarding this policy. I left the item at the store. They still have not credited the amount to my credit card. If you live in Washington, this policy makes sense, but only being in Seattle a short time then it does not. I was astounded by the lack of understanding of the circumstances. This store in essence stole about $100 from me. I will never set foot in the store again since I live in Asia. read more
