Terrible customer service... no one answers phones, no call backs. They're there for the sale and absolutely no service or help with any problems. I wish we had read more reviews about service but I didn't expect it to be non existent. And I never expected to have problems with a scooter within the first year. They are less than 2 miles from my 86 year old fathers location and have no help to pick up the scooter, and want up front payment to order a part that should be under warranty. clearly we did not read enough about the warranty and service. They did not discuss it during the sales pitch of course. They should be embarrassed to be representing the healthcare service industry. I have never seen such disregard for elderly people as with this Lacey group. Keep shopping! read more

I needed to buy a hospital style bed and a wheelchair for my mom. Her physician made out a prescription but these clowns couldn't get it together to call me back. When I'd call them, I'd have to figure out their incomprehensible phone tree. After finally getting through to a salesman, I was put on indefinite hold. So, I decided to drive over there where they actively ignored my presence for a good 15 minutes. My solution was to not deal with these idiots and I bought a very nice setup through a private payer company up the road. The big online retailer has nice wheelchairs if you don't want to put up with some jerk making you feel like you don't deserve good service. It's a pity that these morons have a corner on the home medical supplies business. read more

I have had a terrible experience with Bellevue Healthcare. I ended up in the ER with a knee injury. The ER doctor prescribed a wheelchair but that wasn't good enough for them so we paid out of pocket because we were desperate. I tried over and over to jump through the million and one hoops that Bellevue Healthcare set up as a barrier to submitting my wheelchair to insurance: I emailed them private medical information that I did not want to disclose, lots of notes from the ER, nothing satisfied them. Meanwhile my insurance assured me a wheelchair rental was covered and that they were standing by eager to pay for it. I had a follow up with my orthopedic doctor about my knee injury and she prescribed a wheelchair for 3 months. I carefully sent my doctor a screenshot of the LONG list of information that Bellevue Healthcare demanded, and I gave them the exact fax number that Bella from Bellevue Healthcare gave me, and yet months later they still claim they don't have what they need and still are charging me out if pocket instead of submitting to insurance. They take weeks or months to reply to email and don't reply to voicemails at all half the time. I still need a wheelchair but I will find it elsewhere: I will NEVER deal with Bellevue Healthcare again and I am warning my insurance not to refer anyone to them either. Update: I added one star to my review because I spoke to someone on the phone who spoke to a manager and they are going to pick up the wheelchair without charging me further. I'm just glad for this saga to be over. I invested so much time and effort for nothing so I certainly won't use Bellevue Healthcare again. read more

My doctor referred me to the Redmond location to get a nebulizer. According to the Medicare.gov website, they accepted Medicare payments for nebulizers. However, when I arrived, the representative told me they did not accept Medicare and that I would have to pay out of pocket. Since I was sick and needed it right away, I went ahead and paid. Later, I spoke with a manager who clarified that they do accept Medicare--just not for this particular item. I reached out to Medicare, and they confirmed that while their website listed Bellevue Healthcare as accepting Medicare for nebulizers, it's the supplier's responsibility to keep that information up to date. Bottom line: Before heading in, call and confirm! The outdated Medicare listing and the unclear policies made an already frustrating situation even worse. read more

we purchased a mobility chair for my father a little over a year ago from Bellevue healthcare. We have had nothing but problems with it, shutting down without warning. This creates a dangerous situation for my father when he is out alone and in no way can get out of the chair and figure out what's wrong and why it's not working Bellevue healthcare has sent technicians to his place to look at it, and supposedly they have done something to prevent this error from shutting the down, but it keeps happening. The last go round they lent my father a loaner chair while they took his chair and supposedly fixed it. It took two months for and we finally had to tell them we were coming in and to have the chair ready for us because we kept getting stories about it being on a truck or in another store or various and sundry other reasons why it wasn't being delivered when they said it was going to be. I finally told them I was coming and to have it in the front of the store and we were able to pick it up. not a month later the chair shut down again. My father contacted them and said he wanted his money back or he wanted to purchase up to another model. Bellevue healthcare denied all of these requests and we are now in limbo trying to figure out what we're going to do with this chair that is unsafe for someone who is non-ambulatory. In addition, Bellevue healthcare has misrepresented themselves, they told my father that the warranty would reset each and every time he had to have it fixed. He found out recently. This is not the case that the warranty is good from the day he bought it, and this chair has had numerous problems. If given the opportunity I would not return to Bellevue healthcare as I believe they are not honest and they misrepresent themselves on several fronts. read more

My husband & I recently traveled to Seattle (from Los Angeles) with my 78-year-old mother. We always rent a mobility scooter for her when we travel, but this was our first time doing so in the PNW area. We found Bellevue Healthcare on Yelp, and they were able to accommodate our request for a scooter. The rate was very reasonable, and it was available for pickup as promised when we arrived. With the scooter, my mom was able to join us for all of the touristy stuff we love (Space Needle, exploring the Waterfront, etc). Thank you, Bellevue Healthcare! read more

PRICE GOUGING. We had a BOMB CYCLONE in the PNW. I needed an emergency power battery for my cpap. They sold me a battery for 477.00 but in order to use it I had to purchase another cord for 100.00$. I am awake writing this because the battery ( fully charged)only lasted for 2.5 hours. ( yes I turned off the humidifier and heat) NOT happy. Awake sad angry. read more

First, I called to get my mom a rollator and the dr had filled out the RX wrong. I tried to get clarification from the women on the phone but I was met with incredible rudeness. She called my names and told me I was stupid, then when I asked her to clarify what she needed from me she told me to "figure it out." As a medical professional myself I was appalled. I was doing the leg work for my mother but as someone who is also disabled, I cannot imagine being met with this rudeness while trying to navigate getting myself medical equipment, I simply would have given up. Second, I decided to walk into the location, hoping maybe this would make things easier. I was told none of the walkers, except one, were covered by my mothers insurance... one that doesnt even meet her needs.She has primera and has met her yearly deductible, my mother called her insurance and was told that was simply not true. She could get any walker she wanted and it would be covered. When this was addressed with the location they assured my mom they would look into and then never even bothered to call back. This place is shady! And the majority of the people I have spoken to there seems to be withholding some truths... The only positive I have is that Paige and Joe at the front counter were incredibly kind, and tried to answer my questions. I would absolutely not recommend going here. If. Possible i would find another place to get your equipment, its not worth the run around, or the negative interactions. read more

We came here to get set up with CPAP equipment for the first time. They must be having issues getting and keeping competent staff. There was only one person trained in the CPAP equipment, and if she wasn't there, you were out of luck. Even she seemed only recently trained. She showed us the equipment, but they are not allowed to help you put on the mask. We were left to our own efforts to try and fit it correctly. Turns out, after a month of trying different masks, that the first mask we were sent home with was the most difficult to get on and fit correctly. However, because of a thin face, we could never get it to seal. To make a long story short, we tried 4 more mask types before we got it right. The last we had to pay out of pocket for. Fast forward 3 months, and we find out that we are not eligible for resupply of our equipment for another month, because of the new masks we had to try. So here we are, needing our normal 3 month resupply and we have to wait for another month. We were never told this was going to happen. Further more, we were told we would get an automatic email when it was time for resupply. However, when I talked with them today asking where the auto email was. I was told it doesn't always work. Very frustrating all around. Maybe this place was good in the past, but they are lacking effective and well trained staff. read more

Thank you Bellevue Healthcare for AMAZING service. I was struggling with our hospice provider and had to source everything myself. Bellevue Healthcare provided awesome equipment and quickly (usually next day). They were super responsive and were out the next day if I needed any help. Taking care of my husband was tough enough and the tools provided by our hospice provider were a joke. Bellevue Healthcare rental prices were extremely reasonable, they made home hospice manageable for us. Items we rented were hospital bed, electric hoyer lift and sling, wheelchair and wheelchair ramp. Also noteworthy, since I couldn't leave my husband, EVERYTHING was done via the phone - which was so helpful. I think one thing I did which might be a different experience than others - I called the store directly and not the 800 number. With a knee replacement a month away, with dr. prescription in hand, I went into the showroom with my list of items I would need. Although I did some online research of the various needed equipment, seeing the numerous options in the showroom left me unsure of what to get. Upon walking in, there were 2 people who I had no clue if they were employees or customers. No one greeted me; I walked around looking at what was in the showroom and noone came to help me. Finally, I approached the two asking if they worked there, and one hesitantly got up. I explained my situation and the employee walked me around and showed me where the equipment was - uhmmm - I already saw it but didn't know which one to select. The employee said - whichever you want. Makes no difference. I then presented my rx, which rx was on signed by doctor, on official doctor paper, and also gave the official diagnosis. The employee glanced at it and told me that this was not sufficient and that the doctor's office would need to provide a detailed explanation as to why I would need the equipment - in spite of the official diagnosis listed on the rx. I was getting frustrated at that point and just left. This business USED to be outstanding - back 10 years ago when I would bring my elderly mother in for equipment selection. I remember the attentive attention and help that was provided when she was making a selection to purchase one of the medical recliners. It was the same attentiveness that they showed when she was getting her canes and walkers. Today, not even close. It is as if they don't care, have no interest whether they help you or not. Given that this is a very stressful time for any person, let alone a patient, this is not a business I will be returning to nor recommending to anyone. read more

The customer service was outstanding! We were looking for a toilet seat riser that could fit to my friend's odd toilet shape. They allowed us to draw a mock up template to try. Even it ended up not working, they were very helpful in returning and everything. Even better, I left my credit card at the store and did not remember until a month later. When I called, the owner immediately remembered and offered to mail it back to me since I live far away. This saves me tons of hassles to report and replace the card. What a great customer service! My husband recently received a prescription for a knee scooter a week before foot surgery. He checked on the medicare.gov site for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers who provide scooters under Medicare near our zip code. Bellevue Healthcare was the first provider on the list. When he called Bellevue Healthcare, they said they would not receive sufficient reimbursement from Medicare for a scooter rental, but they would be happy to rent a scooter at retail. My husband then contacted Medicare to suggest they update their provider list to note the apparent error about what Bellevue Healthcare could provide. The Medicare representative indicated that the DME suppliers maintain their own data in the Medicare system. We understand and accept that a provider may choose to not provide a service when Medicare reimbursement doesn't make it worthwhile. But they should not indicate that they will provide the DME under Medicare, and then not honor that. To us, this is bait and switch. We needed the scooter in a few days. The information Bellevue Healthcare submitted on medicare.gov suggests they would provide a scooter billing Medicare. Then they told us (when the clock was ticking with upcoming surgery), that they won't unless, but we could pay retail. read more

Do not go here. Be warned. I have had significant sinus problems and my doctor told me to get a nebulizer. I have a printout with my doctor's information and directions on using the nebulizer and this store still would not sell me a nebulizer. This is what is wrong with healthcare today. He has come by to fix issues with my chair and other medical equipment on the weekends and even after business hours. He goes way above and beyond what is required of his position. He has a strong working knowledge of every product I have had him work on. He is my go to source for anything durable medical equipment related. I walked into the building and there was a guy sitting ON the front desk on his phone. I thought he was just a random guy but he works there. He asked me if I was there to see the show room and he brought me back to the woman in charge of the show room. I had a prescription for a knee scooter and they said they don't take blue cross blue shield Boeing and that it would be $150 to rent a scooter for a month. The scooter itself is $150 or less to buy. read more

I am writing this for my dear centenarian friend. This company is terrible! Each time she has problems with her chair, they are slow to respond. They are always noncommittal about when they can come. Getting in touch with them is very difficult. Her chair had died while she was outside in the driveway which left her stranded. She was very glad when they came out to look at the chair. Unfortunately, they could not fix it and they have no loaners for people to use. Today they finally brought her two new batteries (after a 2 week wait) and they weren't even charged. Therefore, it is impossible to check to be sure that the batteries were the problem. They dropped off the batteries at 1 pm. It is now 7:00 pm and they are still charging. She depends on this chair. She is very concerned that it still won't work. The technician was not able to check if it operated correctly at all. read more

Bellevue Healthcare has a good inventory for most disability needs. That said, the staff needs a HUGE attitude adjustment. I've spoken to two employees here and they both had negative attitudes and just came across like they didn't care at all. I also had to call 3 times about them receiving a doctors fax and one employee said "We didn't receive a fax" I read her the confirmation that it was received and then she went on to say "Well we get a lot of faxes and we haven't gone through them yet". This one on a Monday at 10'ish AM. Catching her in lie. I asked her how did she know they didn't receive my fax when you just told me you haven't gone through the faxes? She replied "Call back in a few hours and someone will help you with your order". I just hung up. It took 3 days until I got the help I needed. Advice to Management. I highly recommend sending a QC employee to call and go into this store a few times posing as a non-employee. Do an evaluation here, as this location needs help. I could name 2 names that really need to some training on costumer care, but I don't believe in slandering employees by name on yelp. As it's should be the judgement of a manager. Finally, If anyone needs assistance at this location; you're better off just letting your insurance and doctors handle it - if possible. read more

My mom broke her hip and I came from Boston to help her. I first called Bellevue Healthcare about renting a hospital bed after getting their company off of the Medicare site. In the three weeks that I've been here, we ended up not renting but buying a bed, getting a table, a safety pole and not going through Medicare. I can't believe that every person I worked with every time I called and asked questions was so helpful and informed and helped me navigate the process of choosing what would work for my mom and how to make it best for her situation. We ended up with a loaner bed until the purchased bed came in (ahead of schedule) and their team came into my mom's assisted living like pros to set up everything and were careful, helpful, positive and knowledgeable. I can't say that I have every worked with a company where they answer the phones, can answer my questions (the first time), give me alternatives for price and budget, place custom orders and arrive exactly when they say they will. I saw someone posted that they had trouble with the staff but I had no trouble, only very surprising success in this day and age of phone trees and being passed along to another person. One thing I will say is that we ended up not using Medicare and Bellevue Healthcare explained upfront that we should go elsewhere if we wanted to use Medicare. For the cost of the bed, table, and safety pole, we understood from the rehab where my mom was that it was better to purchase than deal with medicare. If you can't afford the rental of the bed or the cost of purchasing a bed, then you might want to follow up with a Medicare-affiliated provider. Otherwise, in total, we spent about $2800 and have a very good, long-term, safe set-up for my 87 year-old mom. If you're looking for model customer service, the women and men of Bellevue Healthcare have been great. Especially when it's a difficult situation of disability. read more

This place was a night mare to deal with when getting a scooter for a broken ankle. If anyone gets referred to the business at the Bellevue address, keep in mind this location closed on September 29, 2017 but referrals are still being sent to the closed location. This was the start of the problem: it's bullshit that I had to track down a business in the middle of the work week to be afforded the privilege of giving them money. Second issue is this: their Redmond location has two address: one for the for their billing office and one for a show room for medical supplies. Make sure you call and clarify which is which do you are not stuck strutting around the building on a broken ankle. Third issue: call center employee was the sales associate with the scooter. Would love to drop her name is this, but she never gave it. Barely acknowledged us. Unable to help with questions on billing, had to talk her into showing me how to collapse the scoot for travel. Having a busted leg is already a miserable experience; stop by this place to make it obnoxiously painful. read more

I live out of state and am here to assist a parent who just had a stroke. In searching for the right lift chair, I was helped immediately by a knowledgeable, patient representative who provided superb assistance and answered all my questions. The chair was delivered today within the agreed upon time window, and without any problems. I'm very grateful for what I experienced to be very good customer service. I agree with V.B.'s assessment regarding the handling of Medicare situations and, if you can swing it, things work more smoothly if you're not forced into going down that route. First I will preface this by saying I work in healthcare. I do billing, authorizations and manufacture assistance. I needed a Walker. It's been a crap year and I've met my out of pocket. Called my insurance and requested an in network DME list be emailed to me. Knew the Walker I wanted and my daughter went in, with all my info to verify what was available. They stated there were only a few walkers that insurance would pay for and if I wanted one of the "the more sturdy ones" I'd have to bill the insurance. That sounded really off so I called my insurance and I was told by the rep that was illegal. Called them back and spoke to a new woman who didn't have all the answers and said she'd call me back. She did in like 10 mins. I asked her that what she was saying wasn't making sense. She was very kind and said she'd go ask again. I told her no I was making her uncomfortable and I was sorry. Also told her that her manager shouldn't have put her in this position. I'd be happy to talk to him and he could call me back. No call back, big surprise. Called their Everett store and questioned them and remarkably, I could get any Walker I needed. Hmmm. Just beware. And Peter, I don't need a response from you. Fix your business! read more

The associates here are clueless of their own inventory and the insurance process. We were in the store trying to compare 2 different styles of the equipment. We were told only one was available but found out indeed they had both after the person needing it went there to try one out and left. They insisted the insurance was not going to cover one of the styles but we found later that the insurance did allow the patient to pay the difference if they choose a more sturdy style. I wish that the associates would just tell you that they didn't know about the insurance than just pretend they knew. Bottom line: you will be better off and it's painless to get the equipment somewhere else. read more

I went in the first time to inquire about wheelchair options to rent. There were several customers in there so I proceeded to look around and sit in a few wheelchairs and look at crutch accessories. I was finally asked if I could be helped and I explained I was looking for a light weight wheelchair. I was told their stock was very low right now. I explained I had called a week earlier to ask about their wheelchairs and was told over the phone to come on in and someone could help me. I asked if they take my insurance and what they needed (Rx, etc.). So when I did go in and was told the stock was low on wheelchairs I said it would've been nice if I was told that on the phone when I called and told to come on in. She proceeded to tell me that that is not something their staff would have said to me. So what, is there a script they use when speaking to someone on the phone?? Before I had gone in I had my surgeon fax them insurance, demographics and the prescription for a wheelchair. I was told before the conversation about what I was told on the phone that the Rx needed to say "lightweight wheelchair". So I asked my surgeon to redo the Rx to state that. But given the experience I had with the young lady the first time about what I was told over the phone, I wasn't going back. However, after a doctor appointment in the area I decided to give it another try and the place had no customers inside and a young man inside. I told him my surgeon faxed an order for a lightweight wheelchair over and I wanted to see what options there were. He went into the back and came out with a wheelchair that apparently they had ordered for me. No one informed me of this. The wheelchair had no option to raise the right leg up since I had knee surgery I needed my leg elevated to avoid blood pooling and swelling. That part was not available. So my mother and I left, she put it in the back of her car with great struggle and I asked her if it was heavy. She said it was - now my mom is no wimp. She worked with horses, mucked stalls and a lot of manual labor over the years and works in healthcare which also requires strength. I shrugged and we went home. I attempted to pick the wheelchair out of the car and I couldn't budge it. ESPECIALLY being non weight bearing on one leg. I would expect a DME company would think of things such as this. But nope. Poor customer service, rude staff - not all, but a few. Poor communication. Lack of foresight on health conditions - the referral and Rx states right on it what the wheelchair is for. I will not recommend Bellevue Healthcare in Bellevue to anyone. read more

I spoke to my sister who lives in the area and she states Bellevue Healthcare is terrible and everyone knows it. I encourage all consumers who are unhappy with Bellevue Health Care to contact their referring physician with a letter. Kind responses to negative reviews doesn't cut it. See through this people and go elsewhere, to the other two medical supply providers in Bellevue. BEWARE on pricing scheme! If you rent a piece of equipment, the rental period starts at midnight on the day of rental. You will pay for the first day in full even if you obtain the gear at say 5pm. The rental period IS NOT based on the hour of pick up. For a one week rental, if you get it late on a Friday, you have to return it by closing time on the next Thursday. The outfit says "it's just the way the billing system is set up". How convenient that for a one week rental, the customer pays for 7 days and only has the gear for 6 days. read more
