Thinking about Lasik. Seems very professional and knowledgable. The experience was plesant and this would be the place I go to.

I strongly recommend anyone interested in LASIK surgery avoid this clinic at all cost. You deserve more competent care. Please save yourself some time and trouble and seek care elsewhere. Dr. Leavitt and his team do not seem to value patients's time and resources. They recommended costly and time-consuming procedures that turned out to be utterly unnecessary. They could have called my optometrist after my initial visit to find out that my vision won't be corrected to 20/20 - many LASIK surgery providers make it a routine practice to understand how your vision is corrected with lenses before recommending procedures to improve your vision - but instead they asked me to come back for 2 more times for additional tests, and then told me they will reach out to my optometrist to find our how my vision is with lenses. Judging from how much they are billing to my insurance for each visit where I wait 45 min to 1 hour just to be able hear the doctors talk for 5min, they are clearly motivated by financial gains instead of the patients' well being. And yes, the wait is extremely long in their waiting room. During one of my visits, after waiting for 30 min, I asked the receptionist if the doctor will see me soon, her response was "oh, you are still here? no one called you yet?" I have never seen a clinic so unprofessionally managed my whole life!! read more

Just checked back on my review for this place..and found that it got removed?! Anyway, I have no problem writing this review all over again. When I came to this place to consult, everyone was SOOOO friendly and helpful and polite, etc. Mind you, the cost here is quite high compared to many other lasik clinics nowadays (given that lasik surgery is not a rare thing anymore--maybe 10 years ago it was). Anyway, so for the "great service" I received and the confidence they had in what they do, I decided to go for it at this place. Results? A year later and my eyes aren't blind. 20/20 or 20/30 sometimes when my eyes are really tired and dry. They've been extremely dry the past few weeks though, so I need to get that checked. So here's the big problem for me...after I got my surgery and paid everything, it was pretty much you're-off-on-your-own-and-we-don't-care-about-you-anymore-since-you-paid-us-already attitude. I was supposed to come back for my first annual check up after the surgery with them a couple months ago. So I contacted them to make an appointment. Plus, my vision insurance was going to terminate at the end of that month so I needed my check up. before that happens. They didn't have anything before the end of the month, but I told them my situation with the insurance and asked if they could squeeze me in any way they can for an hour (also, I contacted them 3 weeks before the month ends). Guess what?? They never responded back after I told them my insurance was going to terminate at the end of the month. Were they afraid I couldn't pay or my insurance couldn't pay them in time??? Not even a response back saying, no we really don't have any time for you til next month or no, I'm sorry we just can't do it. Nothing. No response. Just ignored me like they didn't need my business since they charge their clients so much money already anyway. Doctors were nice during my lasik process, but I really question the service of some of the staff/billing/consultant specialists there. And unless you want to spend loads of money for fake friendly service, don't go here. I'm sure there are tons of legit and professional lasik clinics out there nowadays that you can shop around and go to for a cheaper price and better service in the longer run with annual check-ups, follow-ups, etc. (not just for your one-time lasik needs). Edit: ex wrote this one as well. Thank you Lasik for correcting her vision so that now the blind can finally see what "true love" actually looks like. My plan is to update this review with each visit. Visit 1: went in for a consultation. They did some eye scans to see if my eyes were healthy enough and did a prelim eye exam to see if my eye sight has changed since my glasses were last prescribed. I was thrilled that my eyes qualified for Lasik (I kind of assumed they wouldn't). They were pretty straight forward about the costs and risks. Financing was pretty easy; they go through a third party which allows people to pay off their surgery in18 months without interest. They said I could contact them at any time with more questions. Visit 2: Pre-op. They did a thorough bit of scanning my eyes and doing different tests to see how I'll do with Lasik. Some of them were the same as the consultation. They allowed me to pay some toward the cost of having the surgery even though it was 3 weeks off. They gave me all the information I needed to my prescriptions and what to expect the day off. now I'm 1 week to surgery! Visit 3: Surgery. I guess surgery day is full of people. I waited quite a while in my room for Dr. Levitt. They have a calming pill. I think I got the same dose as any other person. I'm a bit beefier than other people so I don't think it worked as well. The surgery itself went well. It was a bit funkadellic from my POV (think of a upclose laser show). I was stressed enough to pop off suction cups that go on the eyeball during the procedure. My surgery was still a success and I was put through the post-op procedure and allowed to leave. It was really awesome to see. Really see. For real see. I didn't anticipate having the starbursts as often as I do now. The difference between pre and post-op starbursts is I used to only get them at night and now I see them during the day. Post-Op Visits: This went okay. I definitely felt that I was of less value after I signed up for surgery. I also feel like I'm being asked to sit in the chair and read the 20/15 or 20/20 line until I can read it perfectly. Sometimes that takes a few goes or a few minutes to let my eyes adjust to the lighting. I'm not sure that's a fair to say "congrats, you're 20/15" if it takes me several minutes to read that line and they're still fiddling with the giant eye machine to adjust my eyesight. Just saying. I still think this a great place to go but a bit of their shine went away after the surgery. read more

I had a great experience with Dr. Leavitt, from the initial evaluation - where he was very straightforward about the risks involved - to the procedure itself. I ended up using their latest technology. The procedure itself took minutes. The healing process didn't take very long; I was back at work the next day. I'm now a bit better than 20/20. I don't have any "starbursts" or other side effects that you hear about, other than the very occasional dry eyes. Perfect? Oh yeah. read more

Not sure what happened with the other reviewer, but it's the exact opposite of my experience. I'd been investigating Lasik for 4 years, and went to Bellevue Lasik twice over that time for a consultation (along with a couple other places). Both times Bellevue Lasik gave me enough information to feel comfortable that I was a good candidate for Lasik. My second and third opinions at other places only confirmed what they said, and if anything, Bellevue Lasik was conservative with their recommendations about healing time. The technology they were using 4 years ago was "advanced' at the time (Intralase and Custom Wavefront Guided Ablation), but it's now the standard and any good laser surgery center (read: not the "discount laser barns"). Couple what I said above with the four people that I know have personally had good results at Bellevue Lasik (including one that ended up at Bellevue Lasik after a botched surgery elsewhere) and I felt totally comfortable trusting them with my vision. I am very pleased with the results. PS. All doctors make you sign the same kind of waiver, and surgical complications are a possibility no matter how good the doctor you go to is. I will note that I've read the Intralase technology cuts the complication rate by like 90% (even if it doesn't really improve the visual outcomes for people in general). read more

I had my Lasik done with BLC 3 1/2 months ago, and waited till the 3 month followup to write my review. Overall I'm elated with how things turned out, and my decision to do Lasik. I'm pretty risk averse - what could be more risky than losing your eyesight? - but the biggest thing that convinced me to go for it was I realized I take risks of similar magnitude every day - in driving a car, biking, skiing, or flying in a plane, there's about as much risk of a catastrophic accident that causes vision loss (or dying, which includes vision loss). It was more work than I expected - there's a lot of due diligence you'll want to do after the surgery to ensure the best chances of rapid recovery - various eye drops in the first couple weeks, and fish oils to take. But I'm very happy with the results - 20/15 vision with minimal to no night halos and dry eye - and thorough pre and post op care that answered all of my questions and put me at ease. I felt like BLC was a bit more thorough than the other Lasik center I considered - and their post-op recommendations, while a bit more work, probably help maximize the chance of an optimal outcome. read more

I just had my LASIK surgery here yesterday. I have had an awesome experience! The front desk staff are awesome, and it is very easy to get answers to questions, and to make appointments. Everything is very well explained, and before the pre-op appointment, there is a big packet they give you that has a ton of information in it. The surgery itself is very fast and for me it was completely painless. I was most impressed by the staff and Dr. Leavitt who are very encouraging and clearly are experts that what they are doing. 1. Dr. Leavitt changed his plans for my son's cataract procedure from laser to manual surgery without telling us. We only learned of this change the day of surgery because we overheard the nurse. After giving us a lot of marketing collateral at our original appointment about how much better the laser surgery is, he then told us that it wasn't a problem not to use it at the last minute before surgery because he had decided that my son couldn't sit still enough for the laser. Which is confusing because he would be sedated, and isn't that one of the points of sedation? 2. Dr. Leavitt was pushing behind our backs for the use of general anesthesia while refusing to hear or learn anything about the special considerations in the use of general on people with my son's condition, muscular dystrophy, which can be fatal when ignored. 3. Dr. Leavitt's office sent us home with instructions to pre-medicate the wrong eye before surgery. 4. Dr. Leavitt was a jerk to my son because my son was feeling anxious about the procedure and had a lot of questions. "That's the fourth time you've said this is your last question," he snapped at my son. Who thinks it's ok to talk to a terminally-ill kid in a wheelchair that way? Dr. Leavitt! If you're OK sitting down, shutting up and doing whatever Dr. Leavitt tells you without any clear knowledge about what is being done to you, feel free to give it a shot. Otherwise, I would find someone that is willing to tolerate the fact that there are humans attached to the eyes he's treating. read more

So far, everything has been great with Bellevue LASIK and Cornea. I went here primarily because a friend who is a doctor suggested I only go to a surgeon with a fellowship in ocular surgery--which Dr. Leavitt has. Not everyone has this, so the decision was narrowed down a lot. It's been about nine months since my surgery; one of my eyes started to fade a bit in power about three months ago, and the follow up care I am receiving from the team has been great (I purchased the extended coverage that lasts 18 months). The office has been very accommodating, particularly considering that I have moved out of the state and will be moving out the country soon. So far, I'm a happy man. read more

Dr. Leavitt and his team at Bellevue Lasik were incredibly confident and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend them for anyone even lightly considering Lasik. The operation is truly a non-issue -- I went out to dinner that evening and nearly forgot my eyes had been cut only a few hours earlier. I understand that some patients find their eyes to be "scratchy" for a few days after, but I have been hard-pressed to notice any discomfort whatsoever. And here's another great thing about Lasik that isn't widely known: for the majority of recipients, Lasik actually improves their night vision with regard to halos/starbursts. It has been about a year and a half since my Lasik with Dr. Leavitt and his assistant (at the time) Dr. Farag. I could NOT be more happy with my results!! I was legally blind without corrective lenses and it was a customized procedure due to the severity of my prescription. The extensive experience and professionalism of Dr. Leavitt went a long way toward putting my mind at ease regarding having elective surgery on my eyes. Since the procedure I have had many firsts, experiencing life with my new eyes without contacts-- first time swimming in the lake, first time skiing, first football game at Century Link stadium, first time looking up into the trees and really seeing every leaf. Having better than 20/20 vision for the first time in my life (contacts and glasses CANNOT compare to how I see the world now), is like a miracle. I wake up every day grateful for my ability to see the world so clearly; I wouldn't hesitate to do it again!! So far my experience here has been great. The entire team has been professional and friendly. Dr Farag and the techs were very helpful in the consult and pre-op phases. Dr Leavitt was terrific during the procedure, talking me through every step so I understood what was about to happen. LASIK is a strange experience and there are a few points where it can be a bit freaky. You must be willing and ready to trust the surgeon. Just the fact that they're operating on your eyes can be enough to make you nervous but there are steps during the procedure that give you the experience of losing your sight altogether, which is downright freaky. Knowing what to expect at each step helped me through those parts and Dr Leavitt was very reassuring. You only do LASIK once (in theory) so it's difficult to compare providers but I can certainly recommend Dr Leavitt and Bellevue Lasik based on my own experience. Bellevue LASIK may be more expensive than some other providers but I didn't want to bargain shop for this type of service. They did run a 20% off promo in December 2015 if you got your initial consult and procedure all within December. read more

I visited three different area doctors before deciding on going with Dr. Leavitt, unsure if I was a candidate and what to expect. What sold me on Dr. Leavitt was his experience, level of care and personal attention through out the process including the important setp of follow-up care. They were extremely helpful in explaining the process, the risks, and the costs. The day of the surgery was a calm & peaceful which was great since I was a bit nervous about have lasers pointed at my eyes :) I appreciated that the surgery wasn't rushed and that I didn't feel like they were trying to squeeze in too many patients. The very nice staff cared about me every step of the way which was a big plus. It's only been a day since my surgery, but I am very happy with the results so far. Because Dr. Leavitt and his team explained everything that I should do and what I should I expect, there haven't been any surprises which is good. There may be cheaper places to Lasik done, but based on the quality of care offered by Dr. Leavitt, his experience, the detailed explaination and the throughness of the follow-up care, I can say Bellevue Lasik Cornea is definitely worth the money and worth checking out if you are getting this surgery done. read more

After reading through Google and Yelp reviews I decided to set up a consolation to see if I was a good candidate for LASIK. When I checked in the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and very patient with the plethora of questions I asked. After being deemed a good candidate I scheduled my surgery for a few days later. On the day of surgery I was able to meet with Dr. Leavitt one more time to go over any final questions or concerns. The procedure took less than 10 minutes, and Dr. Leavitt talked me through each stage so I knew exactly what was happening. The next day I came in for my post op exam, and everything was perfect with my vision at 20/20. This office is a well marketed scam. I have a dry eye condition and called them for an appointment. Rachel at the reception was excited to hear about my condition, briefed me about their offered lipiflow treatment, and offered me a free eye examination appointment. I took the appointment and worked out 2 hours from my busy workday to make it to the office. After check-in with Rachel at the reception I confirmed with her the appointment was complimentary when she requested my insurance card. She said it was billed and she had made a mistake on the phone! I was upset by the dishonesty and decided to leave. She came out after me and said she was sorry and the exam will be free for her mistake. The doctor made me sit at some equipment and apparently examined my eyes, later very confidently recommended lipiflow, and forwarded me to get an appointment with Rachael. I checked again if the lipiflow was covered and on checking they said that my Microsoft premera insurance would pay for it but I will have to work with them myself - the office would charge $1K on my credit card! I battled with insurance for 2 months to have an in-network provider give me this treatment while working with insurance and not have me pay cash. They called Bellevue Lasik and the clinic agreed to send the paperwork requested by insurance. After one week I got a call from insurance that no paperwork was received. On calling Bellevue Lasik and speaking with Rachael and Barbara I was told that the doctor did not examine me to ascertain a medical necessity for the $1K treatment they were asking me to pay cash for! What a scam - stay away. This clinic and it's doctors are fraud. read more

When I did research for Lasik options, I opted for Bellevue Lasik and Cornea even though I no longer lived in Bellevue and it was nowhere near the cheapest option. However, I feel like getting Lasik should be a big commitment anywhere you go, and the guarantee of the highest quality procedure with one of the most experienced opthalmologists around is worth the extra money--it's your eyes we're talking about! I think the type of trust I had for the medical team here was unsurpassed, and that was well worth the money. The treatment I got was definitely worth it. Not only did Dr. Leavitt and his office give the most detailed and careful explanations about the procedure as well as risks and complications of my specific situation I could ask for without becoming bored, I feel like the office was caring and friendly. Dr. Farak especially was amazing, and I don't think I've ever met a friendlier office--every single staff member, resident, and nurse was friendly and encouraging. My only complaint was that sometimes I had to wait quite a while longer than I was warned, without explanation, which is unexpected at such a high-quality medical facility. Had my eyes done December 2011. Very professional office. No negatives to report. I opted for the expensive package - came to about $4600 - totally worth it. I was so scared it would hurt, but I did NOT have ANY pain or discomfort. I had to have 1 enhancement done on my right eye - it was no charge since I got the expensive package. Also, it comes with a 20 year warranty. I have total faith in this office. Not a corporate chain and you are not treated like a number. The staff and doctors are really nice and helpful. I arrived promptly 10 minutes early for my apt 3:20pm. I filled out one required page and one requested page of information, with 5 minutes till my scheduled apt i sat and waited 15 minutes to be called. After being tortured with the eye pressure tests i was questioned and tested in a room by the assistant. i was then placed in tiny back hall where other employees were constantly tripping over me because of the lack of room. there were 2 others waiting. during my wait a third person came in and one of the original people were called before a 4th person came in. All 4 were called away before more then an HOUR had past. i made my apt on time. The Doctor failed to do the same. In all i wasted nearly 2 hours of my time and was never seen by the Doctor within beyond a reasonable time. Thank you for nothing. read more

They were about to laser beam my eyeballs when I got a second opinion. Turns out not only is my correction too strong to be a good fit for lasik, my corneas are irregular, so there was a good chance of LOSS OF VISION if I did lasik. These jokers would have had me sign the waver and then tough luck if I ended up blind. I recommend the more conservative Dr. McKillop at NW Eye Associates in Seattle for your lasik if you do it. read more

I recently had cataract surgery done by Dr. Leavitt. The surgery went well but I had complications from the medications prescribed for after surgery. I found Dr. Leavitt unavailable over the long weekend because his emergency phone was not working. Then when I did contact him he was rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. He made this very scary situation worst . Luckily my Dr. at Monroe Vision Clinic solved the problem. read more

My surgery was in November 2015 and my vision is 20/20 now. I love it! I feel like I can see better than I could with my contact lenses. My previous prescription was -5.25 in the right eye and -4.75 in the left eye. I do not see halos or light bursts. I would highly recommend Bellevue LASIK for eye surgery. I went to three places for consultations and felt most comfortable with the whole team at BL&C. Since I knew this was a onetime deal I wanted to go with a surgeon that I trusted. I did quite a lot of research prior to the consultations and read many reviews from people online about their experiences. From doing my own research I realized that LASIK is just one type of eye surgery and there is also PRK (similar to ASA) and another older method called LASEK. Your cornea maintains the structural integrity of your eyeball. My corneas were on the thinner side and I wanted to know the exact thickness to make my own decision on whether LASIK or PRK (ASA) was going to be better for me personally. The FDA standards on maintaining a minimum corneal thickness made me feel nervous about my corneas. Currently the minimum thickness is 250 microns but some surgeons will not go below 300 or even 350 microns. Once you burn away the cornea with the laser you cannot grow it back. My corneal thicknesses were 488 microns for one eye and 508 microns for the other eye. The flap for LASIK can vary but can go upwards of 100 to 150 microns of thickness. That flap, after cut, is not fully stable to support the structure of your eye so they subtract the flap thickness from your total corneal thickness after the procedure. The amount of the cornea that is corrected (or burned off) by the laser will depend on your prescription (or the diopter of your corrective lens, mine were -5.25 and -4.75 as mentioned above). A safe estimate of the thickness that will be corrected by the laser is 14 microns per diopter, so I was looking at about 5.25*14 = 73.5 microns of corneal thickness eliminated in my right eye and about 4.75*14 = 66.5 microns in my left eye. Starting with my base thickness at 488 - 150 - 73.5 left me at a base stromal bed thickness of 264.5 microns. If some surgeons won't go below 300 microns then I was not about to take that risk even though the FDA says it is ok. I decided to go with the PRK (ASA) procedure because I wanted to maintain a healthy corneal thickness. I liked BL&C because they gave me a precise measurement of my corneas at the first consultation appointment. They told me to take out my contact lenses at least two weeks prior to the surgery. On the day of the surgery they again measured my corneal thickness four times each eye to get a very accurate number. They then take those numbers and programmed them into their equations for calculating the specific laser surgery for each eye. Meaning they did not give me the best "range" possible, but used an algorithm to calculate a custom profile for each eye which involves mapping out the topography of each eye. My corneal thickness had changed after taking my contact lenses out for two weeks which is to be expected. You want to make sure that if you go into an initial consultation where they measure the corneal thickness that they will take the measurements again on the day of the surgery to make sure they have the best accurate numbers to use for the laser set-up. Some lasers are designed to match your eye to a pre-programmed template. It is my understanding that even though they say it is a custom eye procedure that they try to find the best template to match each eye. The VISX S4 with Iris Recognition is the laser that Dr. Leavitt uses and is one of the lasers that can essentially make a custom fingerprint for each eye that is put into the algorithm for optimal treatment for each eye. The NIDEK EC 5000 apparently does not do the customized wavefront treatments which was one of the lasers used at another place where I received one of my three consultations. One thing to look for when you are going to consultations is the office lobby. If the lobby is really fancy with high end coffee machines and plush leather furniture then you may want to reconsider. If they spend all of the money on the illusion of being top of the line, you may want to question what laser and equipment the surgeon is using. You don't want to go to a surgeon that spends a ton of money on the fancy lobby but does not spend it on the upgrading of the technology. I also want to say that post-operation treatment is almost as important as the surgery itself. I was pleased that BL&C offered wonderful post-op care and suggestions. I always felt I could reach them in case of emergency. Be prepared to have a series of eyedrops that you will have to maintain on a daily basis for weeks or months. I am still using Restatis twice a day to maintain good tear production. I take cod liver oil every day for the OMEGA 3's that are required post-operatively. So far, no issues with dry eyes. read more

I went here in 2008 and I still have 20/15 and no stigmatism. I opted for the wavefront for this reason, and because I'm afraid of things (especially a razor!) touching my eyes. It took like 15 minutes an bam! I haven't wore glasses or contacts since. The only downside was wearing those eye cups at night. But who cares?! read more

Let me start with this - there is no doubt Dr Leavitt is a great specialist and does perfect job. The rating I am posting is not for him, but for the company itself and specifically for the billing department and receptionists. We were their clients for 2+ years, performed lasik surgery and multiple eye exams. During that time I had to monitor our payments all the time and often had to call and argue about them. The last straw on the camel's back was a dispute regarding an incorrect bill that we received - we scheduled and received one service, but were billed for a different one. When I called to clarify 'why', it looked as if I was treated as a dumb person, because receptionist kept repeating the same phrase "this is what you asked for" ignoring all my arguments and declining to do anything to help to resolve the issue. It was very unpleasant experience and I felt very disappointed afterwards. So, looks like it's time for us to look for a different provider... Overall, if you are looking for a great eye surgeon and Dr Leavitt satisfies all your criteria - do not hesitate to reach him, BUT DO triple-check everything that is scheduled/billed/performed for you, until it's too late to fix. read more

I heard about Dr. Leavitt through some mutual friends and his support for a local charity. I had my Lasik procedure performed in late July 2010 and came in the next day for the post-op and tested 20/15. I had 4.5 diopters of astigmatism in the left eye and 6.5 in my right. Bellevue Lasik and Cornea is NOT a lasik mill so don't go there for a bargain basement price. However, you can expect to spend a lot of time with Dr. Leavitt who was very open about the benefits and risks of the procedure. Dr. Leavitt and crew perform all of the pre-op and post-op procedures. I visited all the "what could go wrong with lasik" web sites and Dr. Leavitt answered all of my questions without getting offended or making me feel stupid. If something did go wrong, I felt that Dr. Leavitt could handle it given the scope of his practice. I rarely waited for more than 5 minutes - they run a pretty tight ship. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable and didn't BS me if they didn't know the answer. I highly recommend Bellevue Lasik and Cornea. read more

The first time I came here the doctor was not in a rush and gave me the correct prescription. The other three times I have been here I feel rushed and if I have questions I feel the staff gets annoyed as if they want to finish the exam fast. I also feel if you are not here for the lasik procedure then you are wasting their time. I always prefer an ophthalmologist than an optometrist but with this treatment I will not be going again. One of the times I came I had the appointment and my husband's appointment was after mine. They charged the insurance twice for me and did not submit a claim for my husband's visit. My insurance explained the mistake they did. When I called them and explained, it took them a while on the phone to understand that the girl who submitted the claim did it twice for me and not one for me and one for my husband. I had Lasik surgery by Dr. Leavitt three weeks ago, and am so happy with my results. In the days following the surgery, I wouldn't even have known anything was done, except I could see so much better. There was no discomfort at all! I had Lasik surgery 8 years ago, and wanted Dr. Leavitt to do an enhancement on my near vision eye so that I could read without reading glasses as I did when he first did my surgery. As I had gotten older, that eye seemed to be getting less clear. After the examination and consultation with Dr. Farak, they determined that the distance eye was the one that really needed help. They suggested that they do the surgery on that eye, and it would help with my overall vision. I trusted their expertise, and it turned out great. You will ask yourself....why didn't I do this sooner? I'm not a fan of messing with eyes, but after my vacation to Hawaii and the constant switching between prescription sunglasses to glasses, just checking out the different shops. Wondering when I went snorkeling if I would wear my glasses or just look at all the fuzzy fish (turns out they have prescription masks); I may have lost my mind. Most people who don't have glasses, have no idea what it's like to search for them when you first get up. Try to put your make-up on or dry your hair. Maybe there is a giant spider in the bathtub, but I won't know he's there. Contacts are not my friend and cause more trouble than they are worth. My wife had Lasik maybe 10 years ago. This year, it was time for me to head back to the eye doctor, get a new prescription. Order some sunglasses and then start hoping there would be no change to my prescription when I went back in 12 months. So I went for the free screening per my wife's encouragement and found I was a good candidate for the procedure. I decided to go back for the next step, measuring the eyes and checking the eye health. At that point, every moment dealing with my glasses was frustrating. I made an appointment for the following week. They have financing and the most friendly and supportive staff. Dr. Leavitt makes recommendations that costs patients a lot of money and when their vision correction is less before the cataract lasik surgery, he repeats himself saying I told you there are risks. He explains procedures leaving out vital information. He does not stand behind his work. He appears to not care about his patients. I no longer will recommend him or go to him. read more

I decided to go forward with Lasik and went to five different facilities around the eastside before I discovered Bellevue LASIK. I had an uneasy feeling about almost all of the other clinics I visited with and many seemed way too pushy for my taste. When I spoke with the staff, Dr. Farag and Dr. Levitt at Bellevue LASIK I just knew that this was place that I felt most comfortable with. They were fine with answering all my questions (and I had a lot). I thought their treatment cost was right on par with my research. I won't lie on surgery day I was scared (I am a professional fraidy cat) and thinking of the worst possible scenarios but after I had an anxiety pill I was good to go. The entire process was over in 10 minutes and Dr. Levitt walks you though his process before and during surgery. And trust me when I tell you that the surgery doesn't hurt at all (I have a low tolerance for pain). When I came back in for my followup appointment the next day, I learned I have 20/15 vision ...it felt like I was legally blind before. My recovery time was pretty quick....I had the surgery on Thursday and went back to work Monday. I only had dry eyes for the first two days following surgery and really haven't used my eye drops since. I saw halos and haze at night for the first month or so but everything subsided since. It's been almost three months since I had the surgery and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. If you're even considering getting LASIK, don't go to any place offering a $499 per eye special....those places are always sketchy. If you're still unsure talk to a couple of places, of course I recommend that you trust your eyes with Dr. Levitt at Bellevue LASIK. I just had my surgery done yesterday, and I have to say that the whole process from the initial consultation all the way to the post-surgery follow-up was phenomenal. During my consultation with Dr. Farag, she was extremely helpful, and very thorough in giving me all the information that I needed to make a decision. I decided on the spot that I would go ahead with it, and made my surgery appointment on that day. The surgery day itself was also very smooth. When I got in, we did a few more scans and tests to ensure they had everything they needed, and the surgery itself was quick and easy. During every step of the surgery, Dr. Leavitt was very good at explaining exactly what was happening, and what to expect. This made me feel much more at ease, as I realized that everything I was going through at each step was normal. The surgery only took about 10-15 minutes at most, and was completely painless. I was surprised at how easy the whole process went. After the surgery, there are obviously some minor side effects (dry eyes, slight irritation), but nothing that they didn't warn me about. I'm extremely happy with the way everything went, and only regret that I did not do this sooner. I chose BLC thanks to the positive Yelp reviews I've seen here, so I must do my duty and add my own positive feedback! The price is competitive, and even if may be slightly higher than some other estimates, you certainly get what you pay for, and quality of expertise and peace of mind that I got from Dr. Leavitt and Dr. Farag have made it quite worthwhile. The rest of the staff in the office is always extremely friendly and help, and it creates what looks like an amazing atmosphere to work in. I have nothing but positive to say about Bellevue Lasik & Cornea. Everyone was nice and professional. All my questions and concerns were answered. The surgery went well...and it was fast. I waited to write my review to see how my vision would progress. It's been almost three months and I couldn't be happier with the results and the care I've received at this clinic. After thinking about it for years, I finally decided to have the procedure and went to see the people at Bellevue Lasik & Cornea. Dr. Kent Leavitt and his staff have been wonderful every step of the way.
