Such a great massage with Sara. I usually get deep tissue or shiatsu work every two weeks but I opted to try an integrated massage this time and I am so glad I did. Sara has very strong hands so I received the benefit of a deep tissue release-- she threw in some myofascial work which I love when it's down correctly (I've had some weird work done under the guise of myofascial) -- and it was done right with Sara. I had really tight shoulders and neck from work, sleep injuries, and travel combined and I left feeling released, relaxed and restored (all the Rs). She also found an old rolled ankle injury, lower back tightness and hip tension that I didn't even remark on but had known they were there. Best massage I've ever had in my LIFE! I am from New Jersey and I get massages regularly.. but this was some sort of amazing, zen, another level of massage! When I asked what technique it was I was told that it was a combination of different techniques (most I cannot remember because I felt like a cloud afterward and couldn't focus) and no two massages are the same. They are customized to you and how your body feels to them. It was absolutely amazing and I will go back every trip. This was the worst massage I ever had in my life. I wanted to walk out many times and finally I lifted my head and said that I can no longer stand it. If Tourette's was a massage, this would be it. There was no consistency to the massage at all. Her nails were digging in to my skin and the movement was not rythmic but hectic. I walked out of this massage needing a massage to relax. Wow! Honestly. Location is small but mighty in terms of quality :) I have had plenty of massages at multiple locations in Newport & other areas. This is truly the FIRST time I have felt like a massage therapist (Seth) actually listened to my issues (left shoulder, neck, & lower back) and worked magic on them. The energy was totally different from standard massages and it didn't feel like normal 'routine' work that everyone else receives.
