I've been seeing my primary care doctor here ever since they moved from their old office in the Twin Creek shopping area. My doctor is amazing and I'll keep going here as long as she remains here. They have been using the MyChart app for appointments, check-ins and test results for a few years now. I was initially reluctant to use electron medical records, but love it now. Makes getting an appointment and checking in so much faster. I've never had a long wait after checking in. Besidesthe primary care, I've also used the Bellevue Medical Center for a route surgical procedure and the emergency room one. I was treated extremely well both times and would use this facility again. Bellevue Medical Center has also handled the insurance submissions a lot better than other systems our family has used, and I've only had one minor insurance glitch I had to iron out. read more

Spent 4 days at BMC. 5 days UNMC main. Another 10 days UNMC main. From 05/24/2026 to 07/10/2026. Each time I started at the ED. 99.9% of the staff are there for a pay check, including Physicians. A "not my job" union mentality. Happily limiting their limited abilities to you. When someone suddenly goes south. Staff are frighteningly out of their league. Staff don't even practice in remaining calm. Let alone practice how to respond to the expected emergency of the floor's field. Staff speak, you obey and say you're good and some will be nicer to you. At least face to face. A call center pre-script is used to deliver verbal concern/responses. Most sound like robots with a depressed tone. I do get a kick out of the few militant displays. Staff lives for the free time and complain about the customers. Staff do their best to keep their work time at an office chair. Yes, it's true. Medical staff will ignore spelt blood anywhere. On the general maintenance side. Cheep hotels have more energetic cleaning staff that care about their job performance than either of these two facilities. Didn't see a one with said energy or care. A few of my ED visits consisted of waiting 12+ hours for special blood. One 7 to 7+ overnight stay. Human feces and general trash was scattered about in the three restrooms. Granted, it was an overflowing ED night. From what UNMC charges their customers. There's no reason for leaving those restrooms unattended all night. I was near death at my first visit. I sincerely thank them for keeping me alive. I realize medical science isn't a glass of milk and chocolate mixed together. UNMC is so departmentalize with life threatening gaps between departments. It operates like a stop/go trade at the market. You get mixed information from departments without speaking to anyone from a department. When you do speak with people from departments. They're full of mixed information with vague responses. In hindsight they haven't made any decisions yet. Does the entire medical profession operate like this? It turns out that I have a life threatening illness. What little research I've done shows little can be done about it. That the end result of the illness can only be slowed down. A lot of time and money was wasted and I think I'm used as a dying guineapig. Wish I went to Creighton or even Bergan Mercy or CHI. I didn't realize BMC is UNMC. UNMC's "breakthrough" research are no more remarkable than others. I can overlook UNMC's price gauging snot invested walls. If UNMC truly has the best medicine for me. read more

Absolutely not. I went in to the emergency room a few nights ago. I was not feeling well and they gave me a painkiller that made my pain 10 times worse they did a CT without telling me what was going on and they called for a surgeon and said they were transporting me somewhere and I said I needed time to think about it. They kicked me out of the hospital full of two narcotics not asking me who my emergency contact was and sent me out to the parking lot. I was in no condition to drive home as I was still in pain and still full of narcotics so I called the police and asked them if they would drive me home. I would have to write a separate complaint about my summer experience of being woken up in the middle of the night with four nurses standing over me panicked about my situation and in the morning, two residents walked in and told me they were sending me home. I came to find out that these residents had only been learning to be doctors for less than four weeks and they were left in charge of my care. Or rather lack there of. Bellevue Medical Center is the location where they dump off residence to practice on the unsuspecting people of Bellevue very often they are not being managed or supervised, and in my opinion, the place needs to be shut down and hopefully bought by another hospital who will actually manage patient care read more

Took my friend to the ER due to a really bad night out for her. Every single nurse was rude to us.... I know that it may be annoying people coming in hungover and they probably think it's a waste of time but it's still their job to be nice and at least be comforting. I didn't appreciate the attitude, eye rolls, and just being bitches. Definitely don't recommend this hospital at all. read more

I had a procedure (outpatient) done today and everyone was very genuinely nice..they put me at ease ..the doctor , anesthesiologist, the nurses all introduced themselves to me, answered all my questions, explained the whole process as it was happening...the best part was I was given a stylish gown and some awesome socks to keep me from slipping and my feet warm ..they made me very comfy in the room while I waited .even brought me a warm blanket THANK YOU Bellevue Med Center read more

So, I decided I needed a vacation and stood here for a couple days. Actually, I ended up getting sepsis and was brought here by ambulance. I have never stayed in this hospital and I have had my share of hospital stays. Anyway, my nurses and doctor were awesome. They actually took the time to listen to me. I had a hospital room all to myself. It was clean, warm and cozy. I was able to order food from their menu and it was pretty good. I don't plan on coming back, but if I do have to go to a hospital, it would be here. Thank you to everyone that took care of me and helped me get back home. read more

This is the worst Hospital I have ever encountered in my entire life!! I have worked in upper administration with major hospital systems for over 30 years, and I have NEVER seen a hospital with so many SERIOUS SERVICE FAILURES!!! Beginning with incompetent rounding physicians; horrifying service failures in the emergency room; their in house phone system is some type of wireless service that never connects to anyone trying to call into the hospital check on their loved ones! One of the "technicians" I tried to speak with at the nurses station literally had to walk over to a window to get it to connect properly. The patient call buttons are routed "off site" to the main hospital location instead of being connected directly to their "on site" nurses stations which results in multiple service failures namely the INABILITY to respond to patient care as quickly as they are required to!! Their nurses stations should not be called "nurses stations" because there ARE ZERO NURSES ever stationed there!! This hospital appears to be staffed primarily with "technicians" who know very little about how to answer basic clinical questions and as a result, provide extremely substandard care at the hospital inpatient level!! After performing further research on this hospital, I am finding out that most patients go in with one condition and are discharged with "additional unrelated conditions to their original condition upon admission" due to POOR PATIENT CARE and SUBSTANDARD PATIENT OVERSIGHT! Unfortunately, for the first time in my life, these multiple service failures deemed it NECESSARY to report this hospital to : the Department(s) of Medicare and Medicaid; The FTC (Federal Trade Commission); the OCR (Office of Civil Rights); and the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Why the FTC, OCR, and BBB??? Because what a lot of people don't realize is that healthcare system(s) oversight is not only reportable to the offices of Medicare and Medicaid, but now to the other three agencies because patients are considered to be customers not just patients. And as such, patients have a right to report healthcare deficiencies that they deem have affected their overall patient safety, quality, and experience. So for all of you folks out there who may be experiencing similar issues with the Bellevue Medical Center, I highly highly highly recommend that when you submit your complaints and or concerns that you not only share them with the departments of Medicare and Medicaid, but also with the other 3 agencies!! This is the only way that the Bellevue Medical Center will be "held accountable" for all of the healthcare service failures that continue to go on today and need to be stopped before any other patients are harmed!! read more

this hospital is horrible. The reception the care, the incompetence of the doctors and the staff. The nurses are very rude and nasty. They do not know how to care for patients. Absolutely horrible care. I'd rather take my business insurance elsewhere. The staff are completely rude. They do not know how to care for patients in a timely, appropriately manner. This place is the least of my favorites. The doctors don't really associate and give you a correct diagnosis. This place is absolutely disgusting. The nurse placed my discharge information on the soiled linen can I refuse to give this place my business unless it is an absolute life emergency I do not recommend any of my family to this horrific place. I got admitted for low sodium in my system. Stayed for four days and it was horrible! The staff was incompetent, had to ring for nurses over and over.... Ended up having to do things on my own with TWO IVs in me! Even carrying my own food trays while pushing around an IV pole! Ended up pissing on myself a couple times! At checkout, as I'm waiting for my prescriptions, they LOST them! Now THAT was the Icing on the cake! Grrrr... NEVER WILL I GO THERE IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! read more

One of the most inept medical facilities on the planet. My wife needed a blood gas test done. Her pulmonologist, who is not part of Nebraska M edicine, sent orders for the test to Bellevue Medical Center to save us a longer drive and reduce the amount of bottled oxygen my wife would reqiure for the trip. The order for the test was accepted. I was advised to call BMC and verify the order had been received and to make sure the test could be done on a walk-in basis before heading up there. I was told by BMC that they had the order and that it could be done as a walk-in, no appointment needed. Upon arriving at BMC we checked in, did all the paperwork, and were told go to the waiting area to be called. Shortly a tech came out and told us they didn't do Arteial Blood Gas tests there. How can so many mistakes be made over a relatively simple blood test? If a patient arrives in respirtory distress do they get 'serious' and 'extraordinary' and make a guess? Bottom line, we wasted time, money, gas, and my wife's medical supplies for the trip for nothing. This certainly isn't the first bad experience with Nebraska Medicine. It's why we started going to a different hospital and providers. Thinking that the savings of time and resources were worth it for a simple blood test, we foolishly went to BMC. Worst of all, it totally brings into question their abilities dealing with a more dire situation. read more

If you have no choice, but to go to this ER, then proceed. It is the only hospital in Bellevue, and the closest one to Plattsmouth, so I can see for convenience, this would be it. However, take note, the staff in the ER are RUDE. One particular little nurse, Erin, takes the Queen of rude award. As she came into the room to greet me, I smiled at her and she literally said, "What are you smiling at? There's nothing to smile at". Seriously? Go into a different line of work you horrid little woman! Anyway, that was a prime example because the rest of the staff follows along those same lines. Don't expect smiles and roses here! My wife went to the hospital early Sunday morning. The receptionist was extremely rude. I had to leave due to Covid which I understand, however never once did I receive a update as to the condition of my wife. I ended up calling 3x's just to get a status. Picked her up like 4 hours later and was to follow up with her primary Dr. the next day.....Well they never informed our primary Dr. nor was the record ever transferred. In addition to this my wife had ear surgery the proceeding Wednesday and they were to inform them as well, and they had no idea. They faxed our prescription to some Walgreens of there choice not even asking where it should go. This was by far the worse experience ever. This is our HEALTCARE SYSTEM. read more

Had surgery here a few weeks ago; and well; here it is. The nursing staff in the surgery ward were awesome. Very friendly, professional, and personable. I felt comfortable with them doing what they needed to do while I was under anesthesia. The anesthesiologists came and talked to me prior to surgery to answer any questions I had. Once I woke up, I was attended to until I was able to be released to go home. They made sure I had someone to stay with me for 24 hours, and sent me on my way. Very professional team they have here. They know what they are doing. I have no issues with them poking and cutting at things needing poked and cut. read more

Male desk clerk is rude in the politest way, which drives me more crazy and I feel like he is doing it completely on purpose! Come here because my husband is in extreme pain and we are waiting. I tell them he is cramping up and complaining that he needs to lay down and they say he can lay on their nasty floor! What kind of hospital is this, been over 2hours and still waiting to be seen! We've been waiting in the ER for over two hours, my 4 year old is bleeding from the face after taking a terrible fall. They're taking adults back that are clearly not in even remotely the same condition or at least nothing seemingly emergency-like. There appears to be no precedence at all for condition of the patient. No one seems to care enough to make anything happen when we check in to tell them she's still bleeding. This is the most unsympathetic and uncaring place I've ever been. Went to the ER on the advice of my pcp who I consulted first and had already seen the day prior. I've been in pain for 2 solid days nonstop. Was in tears when I went in because of the pain. They let me sit in a room for an hour and a half before actually giving me anything for the pain, which was a ibuprofen and a pain patch!! I told them I had been taking ibuprofen for days every 4 hours and it wasn't helping. So after getting upset an hour or so more after that and was still in pain, they finally gave me a painkiller. Didn't give me any kind of prescription and now the pain medication has worn off and the pain is coming back. My dr is closed, so I call the ER to see if I can get a prescription. No. I have to be seen again!! I was just in there 6 hours ago!! Now, I have to go through the night in pain, again, because of this poor excuse of a medical facility! Worst place ever! Went to the ER tonight on the advice of my doctors office for abnormal and excessive vaginal bleeding. Checked in at 8:30 and waited and waited and waited. Sat there in the waiting room for 3 hours and watched 3 people who checked in after me get called back before me. People who neither looked more ill or in more distress than I was. Asked the triage nurse how much longer I would be waiting and she was rude while explaining that they had no available rooms. When I told her I had been there for over an hour and people that arrived after me were called back she was even ruder when she explained that people were called back based on acuity of symptoms. I'm aware of how the emergency works thank you very much!! Then literally 15 minutes later a couple walks in, gets triaged before sitting down and then gets called back another 10 minutes later!!! Neither one was visibly bleeding, having trouble breathing or walking, did not seem to be dying at all, yet they got in right away? What in the actual....???? This is an Emergency Department? The staff was rude and did nothing but sit around, were not helpful in any way and could have cared less if I had taken my pants off and bleed on the floor.
