I got a snarky text message the evening before the appt saying they would be cancelling our appts since I didn't contact in advanced. My family has been dealing with lots of medical appts so calling to update insurance on file was not on the top of the list. Just felt this was handled poorly and will be taking my 4 kids elsewhere.

My kids have bad experience with one of Pediatric assistance who is caucasian. They have been…read morehaving same time appoints for a few years and each of them would have the same assistance for each appointment. For the past few cleaning appointments, my older kid have been complaining about how painful it is for the cleaning. In the mean time, my younger kid has never had any complain with the asian assistance. I have been given the staff the benefit of doubt since I know my kid isn't doing good job of brushing, could just have sensitive gum. After two of those visits, I started to pay more attention to the assistance. She seems very serious every time we see her. My explanation for her is that she might just be tired since we always have late afternoon time. In the mean time, I told my boy to do better brush and floss before next visit so I can be sure that he wasn't the issue. The last visit, my younger kid had the Caucasian and older boy had the Asian. I was with my younger kid first. In the middle of cleaning, my younger kid asked the Caucasian, "Can you please be gentler?", She responded "I can't, I have to get the cleaning done!" . I was still on her side at this point with a little shock on her response. The dentist confirmed the my younger one had a little swollen gums. Then dentist and I went to see my older one. Not surprise that my older kid has the same issue. The surprise was so he does not complain about the process. He confirmed later with me that the Asian assistance was tender and merciful. The final feedback from my kids are they would rather to break up the time to wait for Asian assistance to do cleaning for both!

I had a few concerns with the program (pain, because I don't handle it well, being in braces at my age, and I knew it would be a big expense). After the consultation with Dr Rising(Tony the tiger GGGRRREAT dentist), and chatting with Amy at the front desk over the course of a couple visits about my concerns, I decided to go for it. I am SSSSOOOOO happy I made the decision to do 6 month smile!! I could not be happier! Best money I have Ever spent on myself, and I will have this beautiful smile for life. I smile at myself in the mirror every chance I get now...and windows I walk by! The pain was very very minimal. Actually only had pain twice for a few hours. However, our main issue was with the way treatment and costs were communicated. My husband was verbally told that his insurance would cover certain procedures and trusted what he was told. He didn't fully read the paperwork he signed, which acknowledged understanding the risks, costs, and that he would be responsible for payment upfront. Unfortunately, this was not clearly explained, and the written agreement did not match the verbal information he received. When we called to clarify, the office was unhelpful and seemed confused, stating that they only provide estimates and do not handle insurance directly. This left us feeling misled, as the information we were given in person suggested otherwise. For someone who relies on verbal explanations, this experience was frustrating and, in our opinion, not transparent. We ultimately decided to cancel the appointment and will not be returning. While the staff was courteous and scheduling was convenient, the lack of clear communication about insurance and costs made this a negative experience.
