I had a very distressing experience with Dr. Straub. He was dismissive and spoke to me in a way that felt belittling, which was especially difficult as a patient with high anxiety. I felt treated as if I were incompetent during a vulnerable procedure. While the support staff was wonderful, the dentist's lack of empathy and professional kindness made me regret my choice. Review of Dr. Peter Straub - Summit Dental (Omaha, NE) I had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Peter Straub. From the beginning, he was extremely rude and dismissive, both toward me and even his staff. During treatment, he forced me into extractions that weren't necessary, telling me that if I didn't agree, he wouldn't work on the crown I actually needed. He was very controlling, frequently jerked my head around during appointments, and overall showed no compassion or professionalism. At one visit, I asked if I could go without numbing medication since I only needed to switch out a crown. Instead of respecting that request, he seemed to go out of his way to be as rough as possible, leaving me in severe pain. He even drilled on a tooth that didn't need treatment and damaged it so badly I had to see another dentist to fix the problem. When I spoke up for myself, instead of addressing my concerns, he became angry and retaliated by sending me a letter withdrawing services, not just from him, but from all Summit Dental locations in Omaha. Simply because I questioned his behavior. To make matters worse, he messed up another tooth, refused to provide pain relief, and I ended up in the ER for help. I've since learned from other reviews that I am not alone, others have reported similarly harmful and unprofessional treatment, including one shocking case where he allegedly called CPS on a patient without reason. They are all about the money & not your dental care! Don't bother, they do not even have a dental hygienist employed there.

First red flag should have been that they have no dental hygienist working for them right now. Never had such a bad experience. Completely traumatized. Front desk employees are very kind but dentist was so rude he made me cry. I've had bad teeth and soft spots my entire life - my issues are not from lack of flossing. Extracted a molar and was shoving down on my jaw so hard it kept locking. Tooth shattered during extraction. Chipped a tooth next to it. Stabbed me in the tongue - never knew your tongue could get severely bruised but apparently it can. Now the extraction site is infected and he won't call in an antibiotic without seeing me again, so looks like I need to find a new dentist asap. read more

No parking and no security for patients. Was accosted by neighbor over parking. Dentist wasn't supportive. I won't see them again and if I were you I would t either. Turns out this dentist office was trying to up sell me on procedures not needed. Beware read more

1)The parking is terrible & non existent. Had to park across the street because people don't know how to park correctly. 2)Front desk receptionists were amazing, wish I knew their names so I could thank them and the X-ray tech for being the only good experience with anybody I had here. 3)Dr. Straub is probably one of the rudest, most ill tempered people I have ever met in my life. Barely spoke 2 words to me, poked around in my mouth for all of a minute, then proceeded to tell me: my last wisdom tooth had a cavity and needed to be pulled, and that I was going to lose my teeth because of gum recession. Also told me I "don't brush correctly or take care of my teeth." After I told him I brush, floss and use mouthwash 3 times a day, and asked what I could be doing better, he simply said, "you just aren't brushing correctly." ....seriously? 4) I never went back and chose to schedule somewhere else where I was told I didn't have a cavity, I wasn't going to lose my teeth and I do a great job brushing. I left them a 5 star review. Summit Dental on Mission deserves 0. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. The other review was correct, they try to make you do unnecessary procedures. Dr. Straub, find a job where you aren't around other people, because you really need an attitude adjustment. Please consider going to Stacey Family Dental instead! read more

oh HELL NO! Have you ever been to a dentist that literally did not LOOK INTO YOUR MOUTH!?!?!?!? I don't even need to go into detail as to my absolute displeasure with this facility. But I will mention that my husband was treated worse.....go figure. read more

Okay so I have Gone in there multiple times to get fillings, which all went really well. I had one of my canine fillings break in my sleep that morning I called in and they where able to get me in right away to fix it. Friday July 21st I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I was so nervous, and terrified out of my mind. My dentist reassured me that everything was going to be fine, after I got numb he went to work took less then 45 minutes to pull them all out. I am very greatful to have a dentist like him help me with getting my mouth fixed to where I can eat and drink and not have any discomfort. I'm still in the healing process of my wisdom teeth removal. But I'm very greatful that we got what we knew needed to be done. read more

Got my tooth pulled today. They did an outstanding job. Summit Dental 702 W. Mission in oldtown Bellevue...Dr. Michael Belling and my Tech was Nolan...so cool and so nice...thank you so much, they were with me every step of the way...made sure I was doing ok, willing to make me comfy and put me at ease like I was welcome instead of someplaces make you feel like you are bothering them or they are in a hurry...not Summit Dental they are now my forever dental family, they talked me through every step of the way, I was able to manage my bill and everything...I won't go anywhere else anymore... I have serious stress issues with dentists, in the past I even had to have sedative just to handle it and nitrous, I've had my cheek cut from the saw, and the sander, they've busted my teeth into 4 and had to pull it out bit by bit and I felt it. This place...my tooth was literally crumbling and he took it out in one pull because it had cracked in half and half was barely hanging on...I was highly impressed and I was well numbed. I didn't have to have any sedative or nitrous, and the doc kept me totally calm, every step of the way Dr. Belling and Nolan talked me through to make sure I was doing ok...totally cool people...even the receptionist was welcoming and friendly. For a while though my mouth looked like Elvis lol I was numb from my left chin up to my left eyeball and part of my nasal cavity :) I am so impressed They are definitely getting a good review from me, and for the local business page too. Never have I had the pleasure of such professionalism, kindness and patience, for that they have my loyalty and to be honest it took some of the bad experiences away from me from the past...thank you so much..if only all dental offices were like ya'll. read more

I'm pregnant in my first trimester where I'm constantly sick. I missed my dentist appointment for being ill because when your pregnant you can't plan when you're gonna be sick. I am now apparently put on a list to where I can only schedule same day and they can "try" to get me in. When I already had to go to another location last time due to them being short staffed and booked for months. FYI they're booked until the end of July already so obviously there's no issue of them not getting business. First of all I've been going to this place since I was a child never has that been a policy nor was I notified about it otherwise I would've called that night to cancel since I was throwing up and nauseous. Sorry when being sick the dentist isn't the first thing on my mind. Then I call them and the front desk lady Ezme was not very understanding she ignored everything I said and said regardless if your sick this is the policy. That's funny when COVID is still a pretty big thing going around. I will never go back and will be going to another dental office from here out. read more
