The waiting area is pleasant, the waxing area is clean, and May makes friendly conversation that helps distract you from the pain of waxing. Wow! The best manipedi I've ever received! I would've given it five stars but almost every single finger chipped within the first 1-2 days but that could be due to my raging at The Grand right after I got my nails done. I fell on my head twice and am covered in bruises but my toes look amazing! Purchased two hot hydration groupons for $29 and made an appt here for me and my mom. She just happened to be in town and had never gotten her nails done before so I figured I would treat her. I wanted to go on a Tuesday but they're closed on Tuesdays! I called again later in the week and they didn't have any appts for Friday and took us Saturday morning so make sure you make an appt! They get busy here! Our appt was at 10:45 I think and they didn't take us until 10 minutes after. Its located in some sketchy looking strip mall I would never have found myself in if it weren't for this groupon. We didn't leave until over two hours later!!! There were only two ladies working and the owner May stopped in for a couple minutes and left. For some reason while my mom was in town, we kept hearing Shanghainese people!!! and the two ladies we were here before us were Shanghainese too so my mom totally bonded with them. All the bad reviews here made me terrified to go because they sounded like they would be super mean! but from the appt making process to the mani pedi itself, EVERYONE WAS SUPER NICE!!! They were so meticulous with their work no wonder why it took over two hours! It was one of the few relaxing manipedis I've gotten because I'm usually super on edge since people can't seem to do it right!!! They have a good selection of OPIs, and a small section of Zoyas and Essies. They have candy and magazines in front and give you tea/water. They didn't have those disposable flipflops but they wrapped my moms feet in cuticle oil and plastic wrap before she put her shoes on. I would come back if it weren't so far and if their normal priced manipedis weren't $60! They have a groupon extension thats like $200 if you buy four or five (I forget) manipedis but theres no way I would spend that much at once for a place I'm not sure I would even go back to since I'm not one of those people who go weekly or monthly! I came here with a groupon on a Wednesday but was turned away because with a groupon, you will HAVE to make an appointment. FYI that's their policy. so I made an appointment for the following Wednesday. My experience here was pleasant. Yvonne was the manicurist that worked on my Hydration mani and pedi.Hydration mani and pedi consist of a scrub and an arm and leg mask on top of the basic mani/pedi treat. Made an appointment the day before for 12PM, so already points for fitting me in at the last minute. I had the Yelp coupon "$35 for $50 of services", so I chose to get a classic mani and hot hydration pedicure, which totaled $50. I arrived right on time and they sat me down right away. I made sure to confirm the services and give them my Yelp coupon before we got started. The service was attentive and professional. Everything looked clean and organized. The owner was very personable, even as she was running around trying to run everything. They did lack color options for regular nail polish, but they do carry most the major brands, they also have gel options. I personally did not experience this, but some people didn't realize certain things cost extra, like gel polish removal, etc. Be sure to confirm prices as you go. The pedicure came out great, but I was a bit confused as to why they didn't use the mango scrub and mud mask on my feet, they only put it on my lower leg (it did leave my legs super nice though!). The oil massage was lacking though, have definitely had way better before, but I think that comes down to the specific tech. WIll definitely be back though and plan to try their massages next! I was super stressed out at work this week and had a Groupon for a facial in my back pocket for such a "rainy day". Bottomline, I was able to get a same day appointment. The staff was friendly. The facial was good and I'm happy with my results (even a few days after the treatment). They offered (and I bought) a "Groupon Extension" where they offer the facial for a discounted rate for Groupon users. They also offer the gel color manicure. I will be back for both. Ah my review is long overdue, for some reason I thought I had already written one, I guess I was wrong. I first heard about Bellezza Day Spa through Groupon like 2 years ago, and I was new to the upper peninsula area and needed to find new places to get my hair, nails, etc... Since 2 years ago, I've been here a handful of times, one time to get my nails done, another time I brought in my whole bridal party to get our nails and feet done for the wedding, another time a Brazillian for my honeymoon with another Groupon they offered and finally just went there this past weekend with another Groupon for a Brazillian. First off, I love how cute this place is on the inside, it looks clean and nicely decorated. You definitely need to make an appointment before coming here since they only have a few girls working doing specific jobs. That is one of the only downsides is the appointment because sometimes on a whim I decide I need to get my nails done because my cuticles are a mess, but I learned to just plan ahead. Also, I've never had a Brazillian before but wanted one for my honeymoon especially since there was a Groupon being offered. So I took another chance and experienced their wax job and it's been great! They use both hard and soft waxes and really get in all the crevices. Some employees are better than others, but that's how it is everywhere. And it wasn't as painful as a friend of mine ranted about (but she doesn't go to Bellezza, she was just speaking about her brazillian experiences), then again maybe I have a high pain threshold. Almost every time I've been here, the owner May has been here. And she is such a sweetie!!! She definitely looks over the entire establishment and all the employees and wants to make sure her customers are well taken care of. And she socializes with the customers too. Super sweet and and wants to make sure you leave happy. Downside is the location and the tiny parking lot, but at least they have a parking lot. It's part of a strip mall which seems empty because I don't see many patrons going in but the parking lot is usually filled so there must be business going on. read more

I love this place, because it has nice decor (relaxing), free parking, is super clean, affordable, good location, but the most important piece of my love puzzle is May, she is wonderful! Facials at Bellezza Day Spa are like therapy sessions, she is friendly and her work as an estetician is impecable. Seriously, I have been to every other place that offers facials near the San Bruno/ Millbrae (also Ive been to some places in south san francisco too)... and nothing compares! I just got my facial today and i wish i could sign up for the package, but im leaving for the Navy. The esthetician was very sweet and motivating when it came to the torturing extractions. Don't let that scare you because no matter where you go it'll be painful. Unlike other facials I've gone to, she gives advice rather than the same common sense bs others have said such as wash your face and drink water. She is direct and straightforward with advising you about your face. I mean with about 10 years of experience it should be easy to trust her. I went with my Groupon for the Royal Mani/Pedi and I have definitely had better! The girls were totally impersonal and acted like they could care less if I was there at all. Now, I dont like a lot of chit chat during my salon visits, but you could at least tell me what you're doing, especially when you put bags of purple goop on my hands and feet. It felt nice, but i had to ask what it was and what the purpose of the treatment is. Then they seemed so happy to have me tied up with nothing to do but sit and wait so they could get back to shoe shopping online at the front desk. They could have atleast offered a magazine or something to look at while i sat. Now 3 days later, my manicure is totally chipping and for some reason i can see where the top coat was sloppily applied at my cuticles. Won't be back...ever read more

Sandra did my mani-pedi and it was great! I had a Groupon for the hydration mani-pedi which included a mask for my arms and legs. She did a really good job on my nails and nothing has chipped much even a week later. (I'm still not gettin' on the gel train) Very clean little shop. Nicely designed. I was the only customer at the time so I didn't have to worry about fumes from anyone's acrylic sets. The massage chairs for the pedi were very effective and helped relax my back. While she did a REALLY good job, I'm not sure I can afford the $60 regular priced treatment. A regular mani-pedi being $40 is still a tad pricey so I think I'm going to have to continue to do my own nails. read more

Found this treasure thanks [again] to the iPhone app and am so glad that I did. I got one of the best eyebrow waxes EVER here a couple of weeks ago and liked May so much that I planned to come back for a facial. I dropped in as soon as they opened and even though she was a little late in getting settled, said she could see me in 30 minutes after her 1 manicure appointment. I took a walk to grab some food and came back. I got the Pure Oxygen Acne Facial and it was a little sting-y and my face was red afterward for about 12 hrs (she did warn me). The next day, my face felt great and is still feeling wonderful. I would have liked more of a shoulder massage as I've received some good ones whilst getting a facial, otherwise I definitely will go back here! p.s. i couldn't beat the 50% off special! Like everyone else said, they don't pick up the phone, but rest assured that if you leave a message they will return your call. They returned my call each time I called to reschedule, etc. If you have a voucher to use, keep in mind you probably won't be able to use it immediately. I had to wait 3+ weeks to use mine, because yes, they are busy. It's a nice place overall - a calm, relaxing environment. They also offer you coffee or tea while having your nail service, which is always a nice touch. Most of the polish is OPI, which I also prefer. Rates seem to be pricey for the area, but with a voucher, it was quite worth it. read more

The Hydration Mani was nice, with masques and massaging, but my polish is imperfect. Not one of my nails has a perfect even coat that goes to the edge. I find this disappointing. The Hydration Pedi was quite enjoyable. She did a great job of cleaning up my cuticles. I was kind of a mess! The polish on my toes is in much better shape. I've gotten regular mani-pedis for 15+ years. My cuticles are healthy and smooth. After my trip to Bellezza Day Spa... my finger nails looked dry and ragged around the edges. I was appalled by the plastic tubs lined with plastic bags, fill with too-hot water that the ladies carried over to where we were sitting. Had I known they didn't have actual tubs, I never would have wasted my time. My daughter told the woman that the water was too hot, and she argued with her, telling her that it would get too cold, too fast, if it didn't start out hot. They gingerly carried a small bowl of what I assume was cold water and tried to cool off the 2+ gallons of water. The lady was sitting on a rolling chair where I was supposed to rest my feet. Any weight or pressure I put on the foot rest caused her to slide away, removing the support to my spine. This is not what I'd consider a spa. Had a wonderful Royal Manicure and Royal Pedicure. My hands and feet were rubbed and massaged with warm lotions, scrubs, and covered with a mask. Then came the hot paraffin wax treatment. This is a nice little spa tucked away in a strip mall. Plenty of free street parking and there's also a parking lot. Well lit comfortable place. The ladies there are so pleasant and I had nice conversations with all three who were there. My finger nails and toes look like a million bucks. Now, I did use a Groupon, but they sure didn't treat me like I had one. I was given the Royal treatment. The entire thing took an hour and forty minutes. Wow. Complete heaven. I didn't mind the plastic bag over the foot soak. That tells me that it's clean and hasn't been used before. The nail implements were in a sealed package, also a sign of cleanliness. I would definitely come here again for the Royal Mani-Pedi! read more

I'm giving them 1 stars because the place was clean and smelled good. But the service was terrible. My friend bought me a voucher but it was best not to even take the deal. They treated me as if I was getting a free service. Rushing through the entire service, didn't check with me on anything that they were doing and what's worse, the manicurist broke my nail. My nails are thin, I get it, but that's why she shouldn't file my nails like I was made of rocks. She was harsh on the filing and broke my nail. Sure, I won't make a big deal about that but they didn't even have glue. I don't recommend buying the voucher, and I recommend you to bring cash for the extra fees they charge for certain nail polish that is not even gel. Otherwise, their minimum charge on the card is minimum $15, and you'll end up tipping more than the type of service they provide. They will be good if they treat their new customers with care. read more

I was 1st introduced to this Day Spa by one of my closest friends, who happened to be searching for place that was close to where she lived. She said she would try the pedicure and judge from that. Once she had that done she immediately called me and gave me an impressive review. She stated that this Spa uses individual foot bowels which are then thrown away leaving no chance of transfer of any diseases from another patron. This impressed me so I made an appointment my self for an eye brow wax which is always my test of whether or not the esthetician listens and pays attention to what I am telling them. I was so excited after my visit I since then have had several Wax's, Manicures, Pedicures, Facial and even a Massage done. I've like the personal service that I've received there so much that I've sent my friends there and a few new people there because of the trust and attention to detail that I've received at The Bellezza Day Spa. Just got back from my Brazilian wax. Called at 12- got a 1245 appt. arrived at 1240- greeted promptly- Taken back to a room. Joanne my clinician- baby powdered me up. And went to town. She used a mix of both soft and hard wax- i can't say it was painless as these waxes usually gets me to cry but I probably cringed only once. Score! Don't know if I'll be back. It absolutely irritates me when local businesses do not pick up their phones during business hours. Being busy is no excuse when it comes to potential business! Besides, shouldn't spas have receiptionists? I have called numerous times trying to schedule an appointment since I purchased Groupons for mani-pedis for two people. I also have upcoming events so I need to get my nails done soon. The online appointment scheduler on their website is limited in functions (does not load in certain browsers, cannot schedule a mani and pedi at the same time, and dates are very limited), so I much prefer to speak to a live person. I just left a voicemail about 10 minutes ago, so we'll see how long it takes for them to return my call. The only plus so far is that the voice on the answering machine sounds fluent in English, which equals lesser chance of miscommunication. If it wasn't for their Hot Hydration Mani-Pedi (warm milk bath with lavender followed by a mango scrub and hot oil massage), I would request a refund with Groupon immediately! read more

My skin was acting up, so I decided to come to Bellezza Day Spa since the reviews were so great. This place is extremely friendly and inviting! May and Shannon were very sweet and make you feel very relaxed from the beginning, which was very important to me since I've never had a facial before. I tried out the PureAcne Oxygen facial. The extraction was a little uncomfortable, but otherwise it felt very soothing. I was red immediately after the facial but the next day my skin seemed calmer and a bit clearer. Compared to the usual mani-pedi factory, this place doesn't smell so noxiously of chemicals, and is much much more relaxing. It costs more, but I'm hoping that being woman-owned, the ladies working there make a more reasonable wage. I was wary at first because they didn't have the spa chairs, but I think their way is much more hygienic. Putting your feet up on the rolling pedestals can be frustrating, as if you push, you are pushing against the esthetician. It can make you achey depending on how they want you to position your toes. My biggest frustration was the amount of time it took. The hot hydration mani-pedi took from 4:30-7pm. I wasn't perturbed when the lady working with me needed a bit of time before starting to eat lunch, so we can discount 15-20 minutes right there - but even still, that's a long time, and when I left my nails were still wet. Also, I had to pay extra for callus removal, which has always been included in prior manicures elsewhere. read more

I decided to give this place a shot since I got a Deal on Groupon. Walked in and no one even bothered to great or ask if they can help me. I was literally sat in The coach for good 6 mins and no one ever asked if they can help me or something. This place is a pretty small to not noticed me come in. So and I finally got up and asked if MAY was there, I thought they were gonna ask if I need anything, but No they went back talking to their foreign language. When I told the lady that I have an apt for mani and pedi she just told me to pick a color without telling me any further instructions. I was standing there for maybe anther 10 mins picking out colors, and when I finally picked a color, she told me that I have to pay $5 extra for that color. Like really? I was standing there for 10 mins, she saw me going back and forth in that side, she didn't even say anything. Smh. Overall I will give this place 2 stars. Trying it out for the first time I'd say it's not that bad compared to others i guess, but I wouldn't comeback for the second time around. read more

I liked but didn't loved it. I did the regular mani-pedi. While one girl did the mani, other did the pedi. The service was really fast and the result just ok, nothing special. Owner is nice and the spa is clean. However, twice I've gotten manicure that lasts just 3 days! I work in the office so it's not like I'm gardening and ruining my nails. I think they should let the first coat dry a bit first before piling another thick layer on. Also after my pedicure, i developed ingrown nails on my big toes on both side. Probably it was a coincident, I'm not so sure but I'm sorry to say I wont be coming back for mani/pedi. I do like the facial I once got though. I had my very first spa day at Belleza Day Spa and it was wonderful experience. May and her team were great. It was my first professional massage and I loved it! The masseuse made sure I was comfortable the whole time. May did my facial and upgraded my treatment based on what my face needed. She did my mani-pedi and was very gentle but thorough. My nails looked great even without the polish! I definitely recommend this place if you want pampering without having to drive far. read more
