This is my second time coming to this salon for a Russian manicure. The overall experience the first time was better than the second time I went. The second time I went, I was done by Cassandra. She was nice but a little rough. She ended up cutting me two times and after 1.5 weeks lately it's finally not swollen. She also kept talking about how bad my nails done were before coming, I know they were bad that's why I was coming here. For the price I paid, they only lasted 8 days, when usually they last 4-5 weeks. One of my hands has already started chipping on 3 of the nails. While they overall do an ok job and maybe I had an off day or off color, I don't think I'll be back. read more

I've always passed by Levit8 Lounge, but never actually checked it out until I was surprised with a gift card from my hubby. Upon walking in, the place looks incredibly welcoming and luxurious. It's so aesthetic and the vibes are relaxing. The staff is helpful without feeling you're being upsold or bombarded with services they want you to do. I've had 2 appointments with Sumiya so far. She is amazing at what she does. Sumiya made my experiences so enjoyable and relaxing. I've done the facial sculpt, hair refresh and foot massage. She also checked my scalp with the magnifying device to see how it looks. It's neat to see more head spas in the Bay Area as it's such a popular thing in Asia. I feel happy with all the services I've received so far and can't wait to come back again! The spa is clean and spacious. It's located on the edge of downtown Burlingame. There is easy parking in this area and the location is ideal, close to so many cute restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend anyone come here for a day of relaxation and self care. read more

I had a hair appointment a few blocks away & was looking for a nail salon with high ratings & found Levit8 salon thanks to Yelp. Thank you my fellow Yelpers! I have a friend who has beautiful manicures & told me about the Russian manicure, which is a dry manicure where tools are used for nail & cuticle care, no chemicals or liquids. I made an appointment online & Kateryna was my assigned manicurist. She carefully & skillfully removed my previous hard gel with a dremel tool, pushed back cuticles with an orange stick & meticulously removed the dry & dead skin from my cuticles. After I chose a hard gel color (milky pink), she carefully applied the hard gel & none of it got on the surrounding skin area that needed to be cleared off, nor was it heavily or thickly applied. The manicure does take longer (about 90 minutes) & is more expensive than the typical gel manicures but the meticulous skill & impressive results were worth it. Also, no nail techs are having long conversations with each other or screaming across the salon (typical nail salon vibe). The salon is very clean & bright & also has scalp treatments & massage on the opposite side. read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience. The appointment took about 1.5 hours and I was charged $140 + tip, but the quality was far below expectations. The technician did not properly cure the layers before applying the next one. The polish felt surface-dry, but clearly wasn't fully set underneath. About 2.5 hours after leaving the salon, one of the nails scratched and dented easily. Even the nails that didn't scratch are not smooth -- the surface has visible bubbles and uneven texture. For the time spent and the price charged, I expected much better technique and attention to detail. read more

I almost don't want to share this hidden gem because it is so amazing! I had a one of a kind facial massage and hair wash (add on) at Levit8 with Herlinda. The experience was so relaxing that I felt more zen for the entire day and my hair and scalp felt amazing after the experience. It starts off with a beverage (wine/champs if you are feeling fancy) and then get ready for the most relaxing hair wash you have ever had in your life. They also have a scalp analysis tool that they use to compare it pre and post treatment. There are many head spas popping up which I haven't tried, but there is no need after visiting Levit8 because it literally and metaphorically can't get any better than this experience. I came in with super ratty looking, greasy hair and it felt so much better after the treatment. It looked and felt far better the next day! Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. I have tried their Russian manicures/pedicures, as well as their headspa and I must say they are the best. Joanna does an amazing job with the Russian technique and I always leave feeling like my nails look great and feel healthy too. Their headspa is a very relaxing experience and I have brought a few of my friends to try it out and they agree! I recommend the facial sculpting and hair refresh for a quicker but feel good service. Absolutely the BEST mani/pedi I've ever had. However, it was almost $300 for both which is MY bad for not asking pricing before I made my appointment but I do think it would be good to confirm with clients the pricing. The typical mani/pedi is $120 max in the area (from my personal limited experience) so that was a shock. But again - I'm really picky and I've never had a better manicure and pedicure. What a treat this place was! I had never done a scalp treatment before but I've been intrigued since videos of the treatment have made their way on my algorithms. The fact that they do Russian manicures here too made me realize it was meant to be! I ended up going with the whole shebang. Hair spa, facial massage, dry pedicure and Russian manicure. Again, what a treat! My hair is so soft, no frizz, and it was so cool to be able to see the before and after pictures of my scalp. The face massage was also a first but I'm definitely sold. It was a nice add on. I've been looking for a new nail place as well since my dear friend and nail artist left the country. The ladies were very nice and gentle with our hair. The experience was relaxing, but way too long. It should have been an hour appointment and it took almost 2 hours. When I booked, I even clicked the option online that I have long hair, so it wasn't a surprise. I booked a blow out and wash. While the lady was very sweet, she did not know how to work with long hair or give a blow out. My hair looks like I could have done it at home. Again the staff was nice, but the experience is not what I expected so I am disappointed. Atmosphere is great. Just need to train up the staff on the services. read more

I got a Russian manicure and pedicure here. My pedicure was great--the technician was very sweet, gentle, and attentive. I really enjoyed my pedicure. As for my manicure, it turned out nice overall, but I did have a few concerns. I showed the technician what I wanted, and she said there wasn't enough time because they were busy. She also mentioned that next time I would need to include nail extensions and the design when booking. I agreed and decided to go with a regular Russian manicure with gel polish. However, when I later checked my booking, I did include nail extensions and a design, so I'm not sure why that wasn't reflected during my appointment. I was really looking forward to getting extensions. That said, my nails still came out nice, and I don't mind coming back and giving them another try. read more

Joanna did my nails and she was fantastic. Not only did she give me the most beautiful manicure of my life, she also was such a genuine person. I can tell how hard she worked to become the master of her craft. She paid such attention to detail and made sure every angle and detail of my nails was perfect. I cannot rave about her work enough! Also the interior design was immaculate. Super clean, beautiful, and well-thought out design. These ladies really made it a luxurious experience just by the look of the spa. I never did head spa (or any spas for that matter) before. I was blown away by Levit8 Lounge!! As a new mom (and tired as I have to take care of young toddler!!) was encouraged by my husband to try some pampering and self care. We walked past and I was curious about what is hair spa, and I was warmly greeted by Ari outside. I walked away, but a few minutes later I decided to give it a try. Even though I walked-in , was able to book a session. It was so relaxing, I came in with super greasy hair and a messy look, but after the thorough spa care and professional services (massages, washing, treatment, hair bath..) at the end of the hour I had never felt more relaxed, and refreshed! I enjoyed drinking tea and casual chat with Ari, and her quality service really helped me to enjoy this new experience. As I needed a hair treatment, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a head spa and face sculpting treatment experience. Irene is an excellent service provider and was very professional and knowledgeable in the type of head spa treatment and face sculpture best suited for me. The whole process was so gentle and relaxing that I fell asleep to the quiet sweet ambience of the environment and the calming background music. Alana, the host, was very engaging to ensure a smooth reassuring experience. It was the best head spa and face sculpting treatment I have had and would definitely recommend anyone including any Aussie mates visiting SF from Sydney to have this head spa and face treatment experience at Levit8 Lounge. After a warm greeting by host Alana and a short wait in waiting lounge where staff offered choices of hot & cold drinks and sparkling wine plus nibbles and chocolates - i already felt i am off to a good start. I was attended to by Sumiya and the whole session exceeded my expectation - the before and after scalp scanning, the exhaustive processes involved including Sumiya's skillful and intuitive massage techniques, the high quality products used and the most comfortable and lumbar supporting chair.
