Worthless company that subcontracts all work. You will be talking to a phone person who is in another Country and they can't contact the mover. I had a 3:00 moving time and at 3:30 no show no call. They claimed the mover would contact me an hour before to verify arrival time. So now I'm stuck and since they don't have any movers could only ask me To reschedule the next day. Try telling the landlord your staying into the next month and as if he doesn't charge you as he did!! Bellhops movers promised an easy no hassle move, while the move went just ok, there is room for improvement. A 7 hour move with 4 bellhops should have been sufficient, but there was little coordination, communication and organization amongst the bellhops therefore losing considerable efficiency and time. There were several instances where 2, 3 or even all 4 bellhops were working on a task that was a single or two person task. They need more training if the service is to be top-notch. They were very ill equipped for a 4 bedroom single family home. They only had about 10-15 moving blankets for a full house move, and no furniture dolly resulting in our white sectional getting quite dirty and stained. Bellhops Claim process was fairly straightforward and fast and reimbursed $140, I just hope that will be enough to get the stains out. The move should have been completed in the timeframe but due to the inefficiency of the crew there was still 2-3 hours needed to finish.I gave all this feedback to the customer service agent who called to follow-up, he offered to comp the remaining move, great I thought, this is great customer service!! But NO, when I called back to schedule the remaining items they came back and said that the agent who offered me the complimentary hours wasn't supposed to! Plop!! Had to spend another $485 on 2 bellhops and a truck for 4 hours to get them to finish the job. Value: at first the pricing seemed very competitive and very straightforward, however given the inefficiency, the overall pricing came out to be parity or even slightly higher to other quotes I got from more established moving companies. SUMMARY: A good idea leveraging the gig-economy , basically Uber for moves - but lacking in execution. They've been around since 2014, but need to offer training to their bellhops to ensure a consistent, efficient and flawless moving experience. Also the flip-flop on customer service left a bad taste in my mouth, they didn't even offer a discount above and beyond their regular 'promotion' pricing that is available online and via Groupon. read more

On my first day as a mover, I show up and the job is cancelled due to the truck not showing up. His excuse " i didnt know I was supposed to be there". They cancelled the move for the customer and left her high and dry with no options. She needed to be out that day. As for me, I was left with half pay of a measily $13 an hour for a 4 hr job, which equals $26. I could have been doing something else or working another job. This may be ok for the college students working but not for a grown man. They promise higher pay after the first 2 jobs but dont say how much. After my 1st move I completed, I had to cancel the next. Customer service was slow and didnt cancel me for days after. I got reset back to 0 and on my 2nd move I was told it was my " first recruit move" meaning my first one didnt go towards my 2 "prove yourself" moves. I heard people quit this place all the time. read more

Per the response to my review, the representative on the phone NEVER mentioned anything about a pricing calendar nor did they mention about any Groupon promotions going on. BEWARE THE NO SHOW BELLHOPS. I would give zero stars if possible! First, move was set for 8:00 am. I even received a text from the Team Leader that he would see me at 8:00. I'm there and ready to get going, but no one shows up from Bellhop. I call at 9:30 and am told that the move was changed to 10:00. However, no one let me know that. So, I wait until 10:00. One person, the Team Lead, shows up. No truck, no helper. He tries to contact the driver several times and no one answers. Then, he calls support and they say that they are scrambling to find someone and will call me when it comes together. No call came. Nothing. But, someone from support calls the Team Leader and tells him he can go home because no one is coming. No one ever calls me. So, my daughter and son-in-law had to drive 4 hours, stay in an AirBnB, and help me move myself the next day. Awful. On Monday, I call to cancel a long distance move that I had set up with Bellhop, afraid that they wouldn't show up again. I am transferred to the Escalation person who says it wasn't his fault; He wasn't working on Saturday. What????? I don't care who was working or not. He represents the company and should have apologized sincerely. Nope. Not him. He wasn't there. I told him that he wasted my time and money. I had waited three hours for nothing, my daughter had to pay for a room to stay in, and the gas to drive 4 hours there and back. I told him that he owed me money for all of that. He didn't think my time was worth anything. He didn't think that they cost me any money. No responsibility! The team leader who did show up, after talking and waiting for this truck and helper for another hour, said that this happens ALL THE TIME! Never use this company! read more

The movers (well, the ones who showed up) were great. Super hard working and polite. However, I ordered a truck and they just didn't bring one. It took over 2 hours for them to get one, pushing our move way longer than anticipated. Then my bill was for the time I booked, not the actual time they spent moving. Still waiting on the bill to be corrected, even though I was told I wouldn't be charged for the time waiting on the truck. Would not recommend. read more

I Wish you had a minus star to rate the service I received yesterday. First my appointment was for 9 am-11am . They called to say the driver was running a hour late , he shows up at 10:30. Devon -lead bellhop was great . Second bellhop was slow on his cell phone and announced 10 minutes into the move he is leaving. Now we waited for a replacement bellhop guy . Waited another 2 1/2 hrs. Finally Anthony comes and was great . They moved my stuff but not what I needed to into the dumpster. Now I have to figure how to move that out . So they wanted to charge me $470 dollars for that feasco of a move that ended at 3:15 pm . During the move I had to call because the company never reached out to keep me informed of what was happening. UNPROFESSIONAL, Terrible customer service and not reliable! They called me at 9:17 pm to discuss the bill . They wanted to now charge me $270 . I said after this horrible move you're still charging me move then the original quote of $218?!!!??? Well to say the least that is unacceptable and I am going to need to speak with someone other than you. They called this morning with $218 absolutely not . Not after that unbelievable experience. Finally we agreed on a sum . Word to the wise use another company for your move. I do want to say both Devon and Anthony the bell hops were great and professional. Full disclosure: the bellhops movers themselves did not move me, a third party had to be used. This review is about my experience with bellhops and the third party company used. After reading all the phenomenal reviews I decided to go with bellhops for my move. Just as a reference, we moved primarily large pieces of furniture. Although our move was not perfect, the level of customer service provided went far and above my expectations. A couple days prior to the move there was a mixup and the bellhops team was unable to drive the truck. Instead of leaving me out to dry, they coordinated a third party moving company through bellhops. The experience with the third party moving company was not pleasant. Unfortunately, a couple pieces were damaged and the movers were just not great. Luckily, bellhops took full responsibility since I purchased insurance through them. They apologized profusely and compensated us for all damage. Bottom line, I felt bellhops went above and beyond the role of a moving company to ensue we were taken care of. They truly provide great customer support. Moving is very stressful and working with bellhops was a terrific experience. I highly recommend them. read more

I am literally blown away! They sent two very courteous college kids, both from UNF. They worked their hearts out, and even when they were sweaty and exhausted, they remained courteous. Great personnel; SHADY company: AVOID!!!!!!! I came across a GROUPON for these movers and decided to use them. The GROUPON was for 2 hours of service and the company stated that if it was less than 2 hours, I would be refunded the difference. The movers arrived on time (local move-less than 2 miles). The entire move was completed in 90 minutes. The people Bellhops sent could not have been better. No complaints there. I tipped them at the new location and they were gone in less than 90 minutes. The problem came when the company sent an email stating they were charging an additional $217. Plus a $35 tip fee, which they said would go directly to the movers. I replied that I tipped them myself and that the move was completed in less than 2 hours. I then received an email saying they had decided to proceed with the charge and it was (maybe?) because they added an additional person to the team. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Any company that is this shady should be avoided by all! I will be taking it up with my credit card company. read more

I was so incredibly disappointed in the service I received from Bellhops. If I could leave them ZERO STARS I would! The two bellhops they sent were completely incapable and had NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING. They caused damage to multiple pieces of furniture, scratched my front door and door frame by banging furniture into it, there were chunks missing from my mattress that I found in the hallway because they dragged my mattress across the floor and the list goes on. They struggled to lift the furniture, and were not able to effectively use the dolly and hand cart I provided them with. After two hours they had unloaded less than half of the 16' moving truck, I was able to do more in one hour with my 60 year old parents than they were able to in the two hours they were here. After calling to file a complaint and try to get reimbursed I was told I would need to fill out a claims form which I was then never sent! This company scammed me out of my money and I feel extremely cheated. Literally any other company would be better than them, one of the worst most stressful moves of my life because of Bellhops. read more

this was the 2nd time we had used bellops.... both times the guys were great, on time, etc....however, the 2nd time of moving there was damage to our queen headboard... Bell hopes sent a refinishing guy out to look at it... the timing of appointment was very inconvenient and was rescheduled three times by the person coming out. once out, he said the head board had to be brought into the shop. no one ever contacted us about having that done... not to mention this would have been a GREAT inconvenience... we feel Bellhops should have just reimbursed the expense of the repair and would have got it taken care of by another woodworker/refinisher. I won't be using Bellhops again. read more
