Booking our adventure was extremely easy via the San Juan Cruises website. I greatly appreciate how detailed the reservation information was, and most importantly how courteous the entire team was throughout our time aboard. The team went into great detail about our journey, history on each island we passed, and insights on the protected wildlife we could possibly encounter during our voyage. The vessel was extremely accommodating for all of us on board, ample seating, viewing opportunities, and two restrooms. The team makes an excellent warm lunch was provided; while snacks and beverages were available throughout the entire duration of the voyage (grab a cup of coffee Blue Herron coffee beans based out of Bow, WA makes a great cup!) We managed to encounter eagles, seals, walruses, dolphins, a gray whale, and two different orca pods. Each sighting was absolutely breathtaking and majestic! I could not ever imagine going to a theme park to view these magnificent animals. The voyage takes between 5-6 hours plan, you'll be surprised at how quickly that time goes by. Helpful tip for parents bringing children feel free to pack coloring books, board games, binoculars, and snacks for your littles the San Juan Cruise team welcomes it for the little voyagers. My parents have already had planned to book an excursion during their visit next month, and I highly recommend for anyone who lives in or visiting the area to do so as well!

The crew was very friendly and I loved that it was guided by the Captain and Naturalist onboard. I learned a lot about islands in the Salish Sea and we saw several species of animals. There are several great viewing spots on the boat and it's easy to see from inside if it gets too windy. I learned so much about the Biggs orcas, sea lions, and harbor seals. It's not promised, but we saw two different groups of the orcas right at the beginning of the trip and surprisingly at the end in Bellingham bay. It was so nice to learn about them and get an up close view (within safe distance). They served a lunch onboard which was included in the cost, however we packed our own. They also have beverages and snacks for sale throughout the ride. I didn't bring binoculars on board, but I did see people with them. My iPhone was enough to get close up videos and pictures of the animals! I would definitely recommend this to family and friends!

If you are uncomfortable climbing up and down a bunk bed ladder in the middle of the night for a potty be sure to reserve a room with two bunk beds. Very comfortable beds. Very clean with clean bathroom and shower. The observation lounge was a great place to spend time during our 2 1/2 day trip. The food was amazing. Staff both in the dining room and snack bar were very friendly. There was a very nice cocktail bar. The movie theater showed informational films occasionally and we enjoyed those. Then I had to call 911 because the driver Geoffrey H. sexually harrassed me, made threats to remove me from the car onto the side of I-5, refused to use his GPS, called me names and had disregard for my medical condition or safety, and he intentionally drove recklessly on I-5 to frighten me. The driver shouted at me when I screamed in fear, he reached towards me sitting in the back seat and pointed his finger in my face while shouting orders and threats. 911 was on the phone with me for half the 80 mile trip to ensure my safety, they asked if Geoffrey had a weapon so he put something away in the glovebox. Reports have been filed with Yellow Cab, the hospital, and the police. I am traumatized.

That is exceptionally high for a taxi ride. A 6 mile ride in New York City is $26.... this ain't NY. This is Lynden, Washington which made their quote exceptionally high BUT I was in a pinch and had no choice. I get back today and I find out they charged my son $35/each direction. They claim there is a minimum $35 charge... seriously? They failed to mention that. They said NOTHING about a $35 minimum and, like I said, this isn't New York. They should NOT be charging people that kind of money for just a six mile ride. I think they need to revisit their business. I do NOT recommend using these rip off people. They lied about their quote and took advantage of my son who was by himself just trying to get to work and back, and didn't know any better. Shame on them.. Shame!!!

We were landing at the Bellingham airport at midnight. I was concerned about available rides at…read morethat time of night, so I called Red Cab several hours before during our layover at SeaTac. Shawn promptly answered. I explained my situation and we arranged for a pick up. He asked that I call when our plane touched down. Again, he answered promptly and cheerfully said, "Well be there". Not only was the cab exactly on time, but he drove right up to the door and helped load two very heavy suitcases. Upon leaving the airport, he asked if we had a preferred route to our house. His driving was efficient and professional. When we arrived, the driver, once again, helped with the heavy luggage. He carried both suitcases up a flight of stairs and placed them directly in front of our door. The fare was less than I had guessed and the service was certainly more than I had expected. We are an elderly couple and all the "extra" considerations and help were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend!

When I called to book I mentioned 4 people and the woman said we'd need _____ as a vehicle. I don't know what their vehicles are so I don't know what that means. We've always had the same car pick us up, even when there were 4 of us. We've never needed any particular type of taxi vehicle as we've ridden in both conventional taxis or minivan taxis. A towncar would have been fine as well, as we've done that as a family. They showed up on time (as always) in a giant SUV. As someone with a bum knee and auto immune issues which can make me really stiff, it was actually difficult to climb in and out of. We got to the airport in a matter of minutes as it was a 2.6 mile trip. I almost choked when he quoted me $60. We usually paid about $20-$23 and that was when we lived across town (8 miles) from the airport. The driver indicated that's their minimum charge now. I don't know if we were being hustled or what, but I would never intend to again pay $60 + tip for a 5 minute ride. I don't know if that charge was higher because of the SUV or what. Would not use again at those rates and would suggest if you are booking you confirm the rate. Evergreen had always been about the same as every other service so it didn't cross my mind to confirm a price, especially with us being so close to the airport.

Definitely one of my favourite towns in the state, full of awesome College people here as well. Coming here by bus wasn't my best experience, and I much prefer driving here to be honest. But it's great for kids that don't have that luxury.
