Best sleep I've had in a hotel/motel/inn in a long time. The inn was very clean and the staff courteous. The morning coffee and muffins were also very good. I would stay here again.

Beautiful, historic, top-rated Inn right off Exit 250. We stayed one night here, and it was memorable indeed. The vintage looking library on the first floor provided hours of entertainment and comfort. The rooms were simple and tasteful, the beds and pillows very comfortable, and the electric fireplace in room was a nice touch. The icing on the cake would have been a big Jacuzzi bathtub- the tubs/showers were clean and nice but very small. The concierge were all friendly, and really made you feel like you were staying in their home as an honored guest. Nice complimentary spread of continental breakfast items and GREAT coffee in the morning. Take your coffee to go in the paper cup and go for a morning stroll after your breakfast, there is a walking trail that starts right at the Inn's main entrance. Located right across from the Green, and a prime location for a day of shopping and taking in the views of Fairhaven. I will return for sure.

We spent 8 nights on the road. Of those, I had my best night's sleep at Fairhaven Village Inn. That should count for something, and it does. We had trouble finding a place to stay in Bellingham. We had called every B&B we could find. There were no vacancies. So we had to widen our search. I felt like we might be overpaying at Fairhaven Village Inn, but our backs were against the wall. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. She figured out a way to find us a small discount on our room, and she made some solid restaurant recommendations. The included WIFI was fast and reliable. The room was large, clean and comfortable, as was the bed. Like I said, I got my best night's sleep here. Breakfast was a serve yourself continental breakfast affair. They had pretty much everything you might want, including a make your own waffle maker. If I ever spend another night in Bellingham, I'd probably try the B&Bs again. But if they were full, I'd be comforted by knowing that Fairhaven Village Inn likely has an available comfy bed waiting for me, just in case.

Lovely little Inn. Not fancy but very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend over any other location in Fairhaven area.

Service: 5/5 Stars. Granted, we were "low-touch" guests, but everyone was pleasant, prompt, professional, and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and set-up for our stay. The restaurant staff were very nice and accomodating. Quality: 4/5 or 5/5 Stars. I only took off a star because it is a very old hotel and there are limits to what can do without completely tearing down, which would be a massive shame. You could argue for 5 stars for what it is, but I put that love into the value section. They could perhaps do a little more for a more upper-end feel, but then prices would start rising and charm would start to drop. If I ever have a need/desire to stay in Bellingham again, if I'm on a budget or just want to be walking distance from everything in the downtown core, this hotel will definitely be my first thought. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this.

Our suite was up a flight of stairs and down a hall that smelled lightly of cigarette smoke. I don't think anyone was smoking, it just seemed like the smell was maybe coming from the older carpet. I noticed this same smell in the brief foyer before the beautiful lobby. Didn't notice it in the library or the community room though. Our suite was super roomy with a separate living room and kitchenette! We found it to be cute, hip, and comfortable. The mugs even came with bags of tasty tea by Smith Co. and coffee by Makeworth Coffee. Super nice touch. Parking was easy and free in the connected garage. The hotel was in a convenient location close to a bunch of downtown shops and restaurants. We walked to Boundary Bay Brewing (we will miss you when you're gone!) for dinner that night and it was a short and pleasant stroll. We both enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
