The grass was green and well kept, and there was plenty of space for kids to run around. The covered picnic areas with a roof was so nice and perfect for rainy days or a hot sunny weather, and it offered many things to keep kids entertained such as a good-sized playground. It's clean, easy, and works well for group gatherings. Only downside is the restrooms were available but not very clean, and parking can get a bit tight. Overall, a reliable spot for things like birthday parties without feeling chaotic.

I'm not just reviewing this place on a recent, pleasant dog walk (which is a great place to do and they have doggie fountains here as well). No... my roots go way deeper here. Growing up in the area before there was the large Target and City Lot nearby, before the local government offices, this park is where me and a close knit group of friends would go every night. We weren't causing any trouble. We just didn't really have anywhere else to go, but we all looked forward to hanging out most nights, especially during the summers. We would skate in the parking lot or possible play basketball (they had a few full courts where the offices are built now). At one point a few of my friends worked with the city to help design and build out the skate park (I see there names on the plaque to this day in late 2025). I remember my friends putting on and being part of small music fests that was held in the amphitheater area. I even remember working some events held at the event building on the south side of the park. Just a great park with lots of parking, events schedules, and just every day things to do. Lot of personal memories as well.

I've seen a coyote, lots of squirrels, and plenty of birds. Oh, and in spring, the cherry trees on the lower slopes throw on their gorgeous floral finery. If timed right, residents can take family photos. The park is often calm on weekdays. But it can get quite crowded when baseball or soccer leagues hold tournaments and/or the community room is rented out for a party on weekends. Parking is often impossible at these times.

There's a zip line, a large slide, a regular play area for older kids and a toddler play area and finally a splash pad for the warmer months of summer. Definitely something for all ages here. Parking is easy with plentiful parking surrounding the periphery of the park. Highly recommend for a safe and fun day out for the kiddos. P.S. The view from the top of the tall slide gives you a great view of the park grounds!

You can easily come here to have a quiet picnic. We walked around and it was actually a pretty big lake area. Probably about 20 minutes to 30 minutes walk. There were a lot of small gray color fish in the water and they would chase us as we walked around. A charming place to get away from the bustle and hustle of the mall across the street where we just had a nice udon lunch.

There is a large well kept lawn surrounded by green hills. What's interesting about this park are the scattered rose gardens everywhere I call the Garden of Souls with each raised box of roses named after loved ones of the past. The playground was designed like a Western scene with jail and police station. This is a very charming park. The only downside is the noisy school sharing a border. I recommend coming here during school hours when it's quiet. There is also a large BBQ picnic area. A real gem in Danville I will be coming back to.

We did not go further in to the hiking area . Plenty of car parks . Public restrooms with supplies are near by the children playground . Lots of pickle tables and BBQ grilled . This is a great location for a birthday party or friends gathering. A little further down are the beautiful fountain and a heart shaped pond . Lovely plantations and trees are omit . A few chairs . Perfect spot for photo shoots for groups or for small family. It is going to have more sun the next few days . I could imagine how beautiful this park would be with sunshine and blue sky !

A whole family of cows greeted us at the gate. There were cute baby cows too. After the cows finally left the gate entrance, we opened it and walked into the trail. It was pretty steep going uphill but once you got up the hill, the views were beautiful and reminded me of Dorset England. I just saw a documentary about Dorset and this looks just like it. Rolling green hills and valleys. With the blue skies, it was so peaceful. It's not a crowded place so we really enjoyed the peace of it. Lots of families with children hike here. It's such a safe place to get fresh air and exercise. We will definitely come back for another hike and lunch afterwards.

Kids are ALWAYS here so it is easy to find a playmate, if needed, for the day. There are restrooms directly behind the big play area with multiple stalls. It is well maintained and usually stocked. There are lots of benches, both with and without backs, surrounding the various play areas. There are numerous hammocks surrounding the park (closest to the swing area).. Be careful not to get too relaxed and misplace your lil one(s). It gets pretty hot out here and with the absence of shaded benches, bring a blanket to sit beneath a tree or an awning and chairs if you're fancy. Parking is directly outside the park. With ample parking it is difficult to not find a spot. During summer months it gets a little harder do arrive early. A grass area separates play from parking. There are plenty of bike racks as well. If you do not feel like driving the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station is a 12 minute walk away. If we ever explored this option I would have to bring a wagon. After play I doubt our little one would want to trek the journey. There are very few food options nearby so definitely come with snacks and drinks. There are working water fountains throughout the park (not refill stations). Come, enjoy! You can make a day of play here without spending a dime.

And a trail that goes around the park - perfect for walking, biking, or roller blading. I mentioned earlier that the main park was crowded, but the green area is very quiet and peaceful. I'm considering having one of my kid's birthday party's here. I truly enjoyed it. And I got to try out Mister Softee for the first time - which was parked out front for the day.

The playground is quite large with multiple play structures for different ages which is nice and I always appreciate when playgrounds have a musical instruments area where kids can make music. All the mallets were there and the way they designed the different musical instruments was really unique and produced some really nice sounds. Would definitely recommend this playground if you're in the area. All it's missing is one of those sliding glider type things or a splash pad and that would make it really great.
