Great place for kids to play. Lots of shade. The rose gardens are a special bonus! Nice walking paths and plenty of parking.

This park is surprisingly nice. It's probably the nicest well-kept park of this size I've ever been to. A lap or two around this park will give you plenty of exercise. There is a large well kept lawn surrounded by green hills. What's interesting about this park are the scattered rose gardens everywhere I call the Garden of Souls with each raised box of roses named after loved ones of the past. The playground was designed like a Western scene with jail and police station. This is a very charming park. The only downside is the noisy school sharing a border. I recommend coming here during school hours when it's quiet. There is also a large BBQ picnic area. A real gem in Danville I will be coming back to. read more

I've frequent this park quite often to play pickleball and enjoy the greenery this park has to offer. This park is quite large with a North and South entrance. For those who want the play ground/batting cage the North entrance will be for you. For those who want to play pickleball or baseball, the South entrance is for you. There are three tennis courts and two pickleball courts located on the South Side and courts are well maintained and have busy and not so busy times. There is a bathroom facility located near the courts with water fountains as well. Parking lot is small, so weekends or late night baseball practices, parking can be hard to find. read more

This is a very beautiful park. However, there is quite loud freeway noise throughout it, which means that it is not a peaceful or relaxing place to be. I've been here a few times, but I don't think I'll go back, even though it's very close to my house. read more

The 5-star local park review continues. Danville, Dan Ramon, and Dublin seem blessed to have really nice parks for family picnics, kid playtime, and general de-stressing. Our latest park is Osage Station, which turned out to be closest to our home. Its a ginormous park (35 acres !?) thats hidden in a residential area and close to a school. The park is gorgeous, and there are some nice shady areas for picnic on the grass. The grass is well maintained, but perhaps not as green or lush as say Sycamore Valley Park. I saw tons of people at the picnic tables and BBQ areas. Like the other parks, they have a large baseball diamond and tennis courts. The kids playground has two sections, one for ages 5-12 and another that's suited for walking toddlers (ages 2+). My son isn't there yet but he still enjoyed climbing and cruising around the structure with little kids running around him. He wan't afraid when we gently pushed him down the slide, LOL! One other unique feature of this park is their beautiful rose garden. Next time we'll definitely need to stop and smell the roses. read more

An absolutely lovely park. Kiddie playground is at the beginning with a rose/floral setting. A large amount of picnic tables, baseball fields, a HUGE amount of grass area (likely also used for soccer), pickle ball and tennis courts, and a walking/jogging track surrounds the grounds. As with many of the parks in the greater area, this is no different -- super clean and well maintained. Beautiful. read more

Awesome park. It is really huge, clean and beautiful. Pros : Kids play area : Have a great sand area and it has a fake skeleton bones where the kids can use their imagination to "clean" the sand off. They have two areas, one for the younger ones and one for the older kids. Play area grounds are covered with this foamy material which I prefer than those wood barks. Cons: There's this big plant area in the middle of the play area made of one of those fake bricks. Why would you put something sharp and dangerous in the middle of a kids play area.. this is a disaster waiting to happen.. I would imagine what if a kid was running, fell and hit his/her head on the corner.. they also have these rocks in an area. I feel such items should not be allowed. read more

This is a great park to take the family and enjoy a day of fun! A large playground with tons of structures for the kids to play on. Paved and safe walking trails for biking or walking. Very cute park in the middle of Danville suburbia. There's so much for kids to do here. There's play structures (3 different ones-one for bigger kids, one for smaller kids, and then one attached to the sand area), a sand pit, swings, a cool slide that's embedded in the side of a hill), there's a huge clean picnic area, a bunch of grass and fields, baseball diamonds, and a path to walk if you want to go around the park. There was tons of parking, and accessing the park was very easy. There were a bunch of water fountains, and they had dog bowls that you can fill on the bottom of them, that part was really cool. We brought out dog and she used that a lot. I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area! read more

This is a great park for walking your dog,pushing a stroller or enjoying the fresh air. According to the city's website "Osage Station Park is known for its beautiful, memorial rose garden and children's play area with train station. This 35-acre park features four tennis courts, four baseball diamonds, several soccer fields, plus a path around the park. The tennis courts and sports fields can be rented. An additional parking lot is located near the tennis courts, off Orange Blossom Way. The twenty picnic tables and five barbecue pits are located near the children's play area and are available to rent." The park borders both an elementary and a middle school. The path is great but we almost got run over by an old man on a bike. There were lots of other people walking along the path. There are drinking fountains along the path and trash cans. The patch is paved and fairly level. The roses gently scent the area adjacent to them. It was a great place to meet my friend and walk. We will be back. read more

What a great park! It has a super cute play area for kids, ball fields, basketball courts, and a paved walking trail in a loop. There are rose beds and a pretty botanical area. The neighborhood is nice. It feels open and safe. I have seen people with dogs off leash but I've never had an issue with one being unruly. For you pokemon go players there are tons of poke stops and gyms and I've had fun meeting other players. read more

Great park for all ages. Well kept, plenty of parking, good size bathroom. My kids loved all the play structures, but ultimately stayed in the sand lot for the remainder of our visit. They dug up a fossil, created a sand mound, and just let their imaginations go wild. There were shovels, cups, mini toys hidden throughout. My only complaint were the kids riding their scooters and bikes through the playground area (even though there is a sign that says they are prohibited). My toddler almost got ran over by another toddler on their scooter and some older kids used the fake hills and kiddie structure to do tricks on their bikes and skate board. It just wasn't very safe. The parents didn't care. So there's that. Just keep a close eye on your littles. read more

Hands down one of the best playground and parks I have been too. This place is clean and has so many neat play structures. We came here to do some home schooling and the girls had a blast playing in between their studies. My youngest did not want to leave after 4 hours of being there. There are so many other moms and cute kids, all of whom were very nice. I definitely wished this was closer to my house!! If you are in town stop by and give it a go. You can walk and get great exercise or just sit under a huge eucalyptus tree and enjoy a good book. There is a bathroom and water fountains too that actually have water! Lol. read more

This park is so awesome. Very flat but the playground area is huge and fantastic. Kids everywhere which should be testament that they love this place. Huge fields in the middle for soccer and baseball. Couple of tennis courts. There are two latrine areas but the only bad thing is that they have closed doors but when you wash your hands, there isn't any way to dry which is annoying. Amazing park though and great circle for running, jogging, and cycling. Right next to Charlotte Wood middle school. read more

This park is a GEM in the East Bay! A good friend recommended it to me as it is a little more hidden and tucked away in residential areas so you wouldn't see it normally just driving by down the street. I love bringing my toddler here to take a walk, either in a stroller or letting her walk herself. There are beautiful rose planter boxes all around the park and a giant walking loop that encircles a field for baseball practices and just to run around. I like that there are shady trees for a majority of the perimeter of the walk so that it doesn't get too hot. There are often lots of people walking dogs and I've noticed most people do wear masks, so that's great. We bring our picnic blanket and plant ourselves on a secluded shady corner for my daughter to enjoy a snack or run around with her playground ball. I can't wait for the playground to reopen too because it looks so cute and also very clean. The turf is also soft and cushiony. The picnic areas also look very clean and well-maintained overall. A few weekends ago, I saw two ice cream trucks in the afternoon parked in the parking lot as well! This is probably my favorite park to take my daughter albeit a little farther for me...but it's worth the trek! :) read more

This is such a wonderfully themed little toddler park. The park itself is huge and has fields for soccer and plenty of space for outdoor gatherings. This review is only for the western themed toddler park which is too cute for words. The park has a wild Wild West theme and everything is kept in great condition. Due to the rain the baby section was a bit wet with a pool of water that sat at the bottom of the slide so we stayed mostly on the bigger kid side. Plenty of space to social distance as well. Bathrooms very close to the toddler park were very clean and well maintained. read more

This is a hidden gem in Danville. My husband and I went there after our appointment in San Ramon a few weeks ago. It's a great park for a picnic or just hiking around. This is an adorable park in a serene setting! Osage Station Park is surrounded by beautiful rose gardens, large maple trees, and situated next to soccer fields. There are two equally entertaining play structures. The train and old west themes are cute and lots of fun for even the wee ones. "That is an awesome park" pretty much sums up my sons statement. A park that has a little of everything with enough places to relax and nap. A pretty and spacious park with lovely grass soccer fields, an abundance of healthy mature trees, tennis courts, rose garden, little league fields, children's playground and lovely walking, jogging trails yet with all this still had the relaxing appeal of being alone, We really lived this park. It's fairly flat with views of MtDiablo in the background. Plus it's dog friendly. I could have easily napped underneath the large trees on the well groomed and cared for lawn. There are a few BBQ pits and a few folks picnicking. Dog owners taking strolls with a variety of very well mannered dogs of all shapes colors and sizes. Lots of joggers. Bathrooms were very clean. Parking ample from different entrances and the Popsicle trucks made frequent visits. The boys on the soccer team found plenty of things to preoccupy them between their games. Beware: If you're here during weekdays and it's daytime- sometimes there's 60+ Charlotte Wood kids running around the track too. If you have a puppy- they will all stop and try pet it Also beware: Notorious hangout for cliquey and bitchy Danville moms in the park area. They sit in groups and don't pay attention to their kids so they're easy to ignore but if you get in their crossfire, you might want to punch them. read more

When I was a kid my family's house was behind the creek that runs next to Osage park, so this was a favorite spot of mine growing up. This place is always busy with picnics, sports games, and kids running amuck at the playground. This is an ideal spot for any bored Danvillian to go to spend a day outdoors. Let's start with the trail that goes around the circumference of the park. It is a great place to do some outdoor running, and there's also those workout station types of stops where you stop and stretch or do pull-ups or whatever. There are also tons of roses that line the perimeter of the park so it's very aesthetically pleasing. When I was a kid the playground was a little different than it is now. It had that kind of western ghost-town look to it with a bunch of empty wooden playhouses that were interconnected. I know that they remodeled the entire thing and it looks much safer and shiny and new. Anyway, there are tennis courts, tons of grassy areas to have a pickup soccer or baseball game, or just go running. The ideal childhood spot. read more

I really enjoy hanging out at this park with my toddler BFF. The park itself is HUUUUGE. There's a large paved track around it, a gigantic grass area, a rose garden, a picnic area (so many wasps, watch out), a sand pit, and a large play area for kids. The equipment is outdated and made of wood, so watch out for splinters! My little buddy loves this place though, it has a train station theme complete with train (duh), ticket booth, etc. There are tons of trees so there is plenty of shade on hot days. The kids at the neighboring school use this park for P.E. during the week, so the large area may be empty or it might be filled with kids running the paved jogging track or using most of the grass for sports. This park isn't new and shiny with a water area like some of the other parks in the area, but it's a solid park that I keep in my rotation! read more

YAY Osage!!! First off, beautiful rose gardens with roses in every color! Makes me wish someone would buy me roses, but really i'll settle for admiring the ones at osage park. And there are a lot to admire in every color! I walk my dog here and it's definitely a dog friendly park. They have lots of trash cans. A+. I hate carrying poop for long distances. AND they have free dog poop pick up bags! So u don't have to carry 2 around in ur sports bra the whole time. Well carry one, but then u can just get another one from the dog bag dispenser! Yeah, it's a small thing but i appreciate it. Also, i think this is a fantabulous place to bring a big quilt blanket, some domenico's sandwiches, a rootbeer, candy, and a good read. Combine that with beautiful 80 degree weather and that's pretty much my idea of heaven. No really. HEAVEN. ps- i think pple are pretty good about picking up after their dogs here cuz i've rarely seen dog poop lying around, which obviously is a huge offense. Always always always pick up after ur dog. Hence the 2 extra dog baggies in my sports bra. FYI: one lap = 2/3 mile read more
