They are no longer an Aveda concept salon and I only found out because I asked. They didn't volunteer the info. It is a revolving door regarding hair dressers, which I guess overall is a common thing. You get used to a hair dresser and they leave... I can't have just any product applied to my hair and have used Aveda for 10 plus years. I will need to find another place. read more

Anna does not know how to cut hair. She did not communicate or ask for instruction from someone at a "higher level" for much needed advice. She did not listen when I told her (prior to cutting) that I wanted full bangs and that I round brush for style. She cut all the hair off on top off my head. There is no hair length left to round brush. I am devastated. Owner was with client when I left. Receptionist indicated he would contact me as soon as possible. He never did. After all that has happened with the hurricane, I was looking for a little pampering with a high-quality "neighborhood" salon to cut and color my hair and thought I would start with a good haircut. I followed Luigy to Bellisimo and have been going there for about a year-- every 4 weeks--I schedule months in advance. The past 2 appointments Luigy has been over 20 minutes late. The last appointment he didn't start until 2:15p and my appointment was at 1:30p. No apology from salon. I actually had to leave with WET hair because I had another appointment to get to. I left without tipping-- my time is just as valuable. Luigy ended up texting me and asked what was wrong. I will not be returning to this salon. I understand he is a Master Colorist with Aveda and he does do excellent work but the customer service is just as important. Calls to have a salon manager call me went unreturned. read more

I had a wonderful haircut by Gaitrie but a terrible experience by Sarai. She's the assistant manager, I think. I had an early appointment and was the only client in the shop. Gaitrie's chair is about 15 feet from the receptionist. During my entire cut (about 30 minutes), Sarai berated the receptionist about her performance. I'm not taking sides here, but I was completely uncomfortable with the entire exchange. That poor receptionist must have been humiliated. I tried to call the owner today and unfortunately Sarai would not let me speak to him. I voiced my complaint but I didn't realize until after I hung up that I was probably talking to the bully that created the situation. I would not be returning to this salon if it weren't for Gaitrie. I think this review is the only way that I stand a chance to inform Jahn about this toxic atmosphere. read more

If I could give a negative star I would...My excellent stylist moved on, because I was getting ready for vacation I decided to try another stylist (Kayla). My hair was previously cut in a bob which I loved, Kayla and I talked for a while and I told her in no uncertain terms, that I wished to keep my hair in a bob - all the same length. Because of the implied trust and explicit instructions, I relaxed and let her work. When she was finished I realized to my horror that she had done a poor job of layering my hair (against my explicit wishes) including one side where she had cut an obvious "shelf", and the two sides were uneven and she had actually cut my hair in the typical Floridian Old Lady Haircut. The very next day I found my previous stylist and she tried to clean it up as best she could. It has been one month, my hair is still in layers and will take another 6 months to grow out. The day after Kayla's haircut I called the credit card company and stopped payment. Everyone at the salon was very pleasant - even when I cancelled the charge, but a bad haircut from someone who cannot follow instructions can ruin a person's self esteem until it grows out. Cross Mid-point bridge for an amazing hair experience! I recently moved from D.C. and have had a few less than average hair cuts at various Cape Coral salons, the last one was particularly bad. I decided to give Fort Myers a try and boy am I glad I did. Sarai is AMAZING. She made a bad hair cut look GREAT and the scalp massage was an added treat. So I walk into the salon with beautiful thick, full, a bit wavy and chin length hair. I walk out with hair that's so short, so thin, I look like I've been sick and am growing back my hair from an illness. I had been to Lo (Lauren) once before and she did a nice job with a trim and had beautiful highlights done. The other day, we talked and I asked for a little cut, a trim, and a little bit of thinning out the back. She agreed the length was great and we shouldn't change it. She then talked to me about the 'special' they have going for $90 for conditioner-type treatment. I declined. When she cuts, she positions the chair so that you are not looking in the mirror. I thought she was cutting a lot and when she started 'thinning' out the hair, I gasped when I saw how much hair was taken out not just in the back but all over! Then when the chair finally turned around and I saw it, I gasped again and said OMG, it's so short!! I was in shock. And when I paid, I kept thinking, ok, when I get home, I'll change it and blow dry my hair back to what I know. I've waited 3 days to write this review....I have been wearing a hat all day, every day because it looks so bad. Tomorrow, I will go shopping for a WIG! My one feature that everyone talked about was how nice and thick, and beautiful my hair is. Well, no more!! I have no idea what she was thinking if at all. I can't change it because the cut is such that there is nothing else to be done except wait MONTHS for it to grow out. So, if you want a good cut, go somewhere else. I will say that the highlights that she did originally were great (therefore the 1 star), but most of them have been cut out. Who the hell would want THIN instead of thick hair. And if I've always had above shoulder length hair, why would it be cut almost 4-5 inches above it? Especially when she agreed she liked the length!! Sorry, I've never given a bad review but I'm devastated...my hair used to be my best feature. And, this is by far the worst cut I have ever had in my life and I classify it as the typical FL Old Lady style. read more

I just had the best haircut ever. As a visitor to Fort Myers I asked for a recommendation from a stranger with a great haircut. She said Lauren was the best. I agree. She asked me to help her satisfy me. She carefully listened as I told her what worked and what did not . Then she went to work and made my hair look awesome. I will go again and I will tell everyone. I came here because I was not happy with my hair color. It just didnt look right and I wasn't sure why. I walked in to make the appointment as I am somewhat picky about hair stylist (what woman isn't) and wanted to get a feel for the place first.I chose this place because it was an Aveda salon and I have had good experiences with them in the past. It was great looking, nice friendly vibe and I got to meet my prospective stylist. I returned and Jolynne did an amazing job. She spend a lot of time explaining what she planned to do. She used 3 different color tones to get the look that I wanted. She also said if it wasn't what I wanted to just let her know and they would make it right. That gave me a lot of confidence. I went to a salon called "five star hair salon" had the worst experience it was a horrible hair disaster just few days before I truly thought my hair was destroyed .... But thank heaven I called this salon and I went in and spoke with "Sarai" she is very patient & experienced made me feel relaxed She made me feel right at home she look at my hair told me how she can fix it and was able to fix it right away (such a relief!) it took 2-3 hours so worth it! I couldn't of ask for a better experience from a hair dresser!!! I left the salon looking better then I expected! This hair salon is def worth it to say the least! read more
