I like to support Edmonds businesses whenever possible, but for something as personal and important as permanent eyeliner I would have driven as far as necessary. Several years ago I had this done in the big city LOL (seattle). The provider I chose then was good, but I felt rushed and a bit mislead about what the website said versus what I actually received. It was very important for me to feel comfortable with my provider this time. The fact her office is in Edmonds was a great bonus. I picked up the phone and called Julie. She spent a nice amount of time on the phone with me and made me feel comfortable about the amount of time she spends with a client...And about having realistic expectations (which I admire and appreciate). I am in my mid-50s and have the aging Eye thing to be aware of! I love Julie's candor - you don't treat a 50-year-old eyelid the same way you would a 22-year-old and I loved that we could talk about realistic expectations for my particular eye shape/ skin. Julie was able to make me feel very comfortable with her anesthetic booster. (my first experience with a different provider was super painful). Yes!!! This was very important to me! Julie's work was meticulous. I've just finished my touchup appointment and I'm super excited to see it once healed. I was soooo happy after the first appointment that I can't imagine how cool this touchup is going to be. First the assessment. Genie takes a good look at my face and skin texture and, at the same time explains what she sees and what she thinks I need. I replied: Please by all means make me bright and shiny! Two hours of pampering, steaming, peeling, and some gentle strokes across my face. She's very gentle and super efficient. Of course, I couldn't see most of the time but I could tell she was working her magic. Every product she applied smell so heavenly and friendly. I never reacted like cough or get irritated at all. Everything smelled so yummy. You know how some smell you don't do well with. Not one problem as I have in the past. Not her products. She explained that these products are well picked and within every regulations of aesthetic guidelines. I'm all for that! Products are both from Korea and Germany. All in all, Genie made sure I was comfy. She's open for any questions if I had any. This place is super clean. Best of all, she's on time! One thing to remember is to either keep your appointment or cancel within 24 hrs. Otherwise, it will cost you half or the full amount. I thought I'd disclose this info to save all of you some time to think. Either way, I thought it went very well and am thinking about proceeding to get a set of treatments in the near future. She was informative and encouraged me to ask all the questions I needed to. All the horror stories I read online were for the traditional tattoo method. Karly is highly skilled at the SofTap method. Very different from the traditional tattoo method. SofTap is noiseless, non-invasive, and gives clients the most natural look in permanent cosmetics. I got my eyebrows and lips done. Karly used a lot of numbing products so I virtually felt nothing. I almost fell asleep during the process. Karly is a perfectionist and makes sure you look natural and are happy with your look when you walk out the door. She sent me home with a care sheet and ointment for my brows and numbing ointment for my lips. After care is to keep my brows dry for 4 days then use the ointment and numbing cream for 48 hours to keep my lips moist and help with any after pain. Honestly, the only after pain is minor prickly feeling on my lips and brows. Which is essentially no pain at all. I'm def grateful I made the decision to get my lips and brows done with Karly.
