I did receive notice the first time when they more than doubled my rate 3 months after moving in. My husband was able to call the office and request it get lowered because he was out of work at the time which they did agree to lower to $94. now I do want to note that all those prices do include the insurance you see required to have. I've literally had storage all my life and never have I seen rate hikes like these.

Remember, as a general rule, storage rental facilities are largely unregulated which means they can raise your rent with 30 days notice to pretty much any amount they want and they know they have you on the hook because you won't want to relocate your stuff. If you get a quoted price online, lock it in for six month or a year by pre-paying if you can. ALSO remember - you can get your own rental unit insurance from any number of companies for half what the rental unit companies will charge you and bring in proof of insurance at the time you rent (but you MUST do it in person). ALSO ALSO remember - you can also bring your own secure lock and not pay $20 for one of their locks. Do all of the above and any smart reasonable manager or employee is going to make your rental process smooth and painless.

I was led to believe my insurance claim would likely be approved, only to later receive a denial with little explanation or follow-up despite multiple concerns and inconsistencies being raised. To make matters worse, I was charged for a full additional month even after discussions regarding my eviction/termination had already begun. I have still not received a proper response regarding that payment or whether any adjustment or credit will be considered. The company is quick to process charges and fees, but incredibly difficult to reach when customers need actual answers. I have now sent multiple follow-up emails regarding my claim and concerns and have received little to no meaningful response from either management or the insurance side. Calling the provided customer service number is equally frustrating, as the automated/AI system makes it nearly impossible to get through to an actual person for assistance. What remains most upsetting is the fact that items totaling well over $2,000 in value disappeared from my unit, while lower-value belongings -- including a scooter worth around $100 -- were left sitting outside of the unit with other property. That inconsistency has never sat right with me and raises serious concerns about how this entire situation was handled. Throughout my time there, I was a frequent visitor, always paid on time, maintained my unit, and made every effort to communicate respectfully with office staff, especially once the eviction situation began. I repeatedly waited days for promised callbacks or for management to supposedly follow up, only to continue being left without answers.
