I got a facial done by Jessica Dunsmore and it was amazing. She welcomed me into the back area and asked me about any skin concerns, as well as, went through each treatment listed and explained what they targeted. I ended up selecting their new pumpkin facial and it smelt like pumpkin pie! Jessica had a shadow that day, and asked me if I would be comfortable with it. The whole facial session was so relaxing I fell asleep during her 2nd cleansing. Jessica and her shadow made me feel so comfortable the whole time, and reassured me when I was nervous (some of the treatment tingled my face). I called earlier in the day to ask if they sold virtual gift cards. I had done some googling and giftrocket.com popped up as the second search that looked like you could buy a virtual giftcard. I called to ask if that was legitimate. The girl who answered didn't seem confident in saying if it was or wasn't. I wanted to be safe so I decided I would purchase the giftcard in store. On the phone, the girl said they closed that day at 4:30. I arrived around 4pm to buy a giftcard in person only for the girl sitting at the front desk to say she had already closed the drawer for the day and no purchases could be made. She said she was getting picked up by a friend "soon" and was just waiting. Even after I told her I was told the spa closed at 4:30, she said there was nothing she could do and that she had closed up for the day. I went out of my way to try and purchase a giftcard for a friend and was highly disappointed and frustrated with their customer service. read more

Taylor, front desk, is such a professional and pleasant person to be met first. She is patient and handles pressure well. Had many facials at Bellus Poway. The facility is great. They have curtains so you are afforded privacy when getting your facial. The estheticians are trained fabulously. My mother in law and I were extremely pleased with our facials. When I was getting my lamination done she would always make sure to show me her work and let me know if I wanted anything fixed. My experience was a month ago. Yes, it's a school and the stylists are training...which is reflected in the deep discounts for service. However, if you've chosen a career in cutting hair, I would think you're a pro at the basics like blow drying hair. I was unlucky to be paired with a young woman who seemed to be new at everything- it took her 1+hr to blow dry and straighten my hair BEFORE the cutting started. I knew I was in trouble when I saw the way she was holding a tiny barber comb, like it was her first time. I have shoulder length Asian hair and there ain't no way any flimsy comb is going through my hair. After 3 hours, hardly any cut hair on the floor and noticing the chairs to my left and right have turned over 2-3x, I'm getting frustrated because as a mom of toddlers, time away is precious and I was unprepared to spend over 3hours to have just little bits cut off. I'm a Bellus academy student was looking forward to graduation. 6/30/24 was are graduation so unorganized , everyone yelling. Small space having are family in a tv room to see us. What really disappoint me was how much money we pay for this school and get a bad graduation that is small and the other students got a better one with space. As the stuff says " it was cheaper". Ok if it was cheaper where is are money really going to??? I also thought we were going to get a diploma with are names on it but no it was just a waste of time to get a piece of paper. I was so disappointed to the point right when they called my name I left home to go get my family from the tv room where they couldn't see me walk up. After yesterday I would not recommend anyone else to this school. At the very least after all the money I spent I would hope upper management would acknowledge my frustration with an apology for myself and all the people that experienced this awful unorganized event. read more

He motivates and helps me each and everyday I am on campus and even on the weekends when we are not even in school, I am beyond thankful and grateful for his hard work. Rachel, Jordan Cosmo teachers are amazing and great stylist and continue to motivate the new students. What an amazing experience. I've gone here probably less than 10 times however, each time is excellent. I've gone for color, hair styling, and haircuts The students are professional, well, taught and supervised under a watchful hand of an advisor or teacher. The program is strong enough that each student, while they have their own capability and talent is executed in a very professional, creative, and extremely affordable way. I had my color done for $35.00 with 50% off for August promotion so it was $17.50 for color( my hair is really long). Also, she trim my hair for $ 13.00. Total of $30.50 for my hair color and hair cut. It wasn't bad at all. I gave $15.00 tip for her. The front desk told me an addition $15.00 for glossing my hair? Hmm...anyway the total was $ 40.50. I wasn't really aware about the glossing hair at all. Oh well, it was still.....an awesome prices!!! Btw, cool, nice service too;-) I asked her to curled my hair after she blow dryer my hair. No rushing. You have to understand that they are students. THE process of learning for them. Be positive, and patience. 2. Don't forget to bring book, magazine, cellular, ipad. It's free Wifi. 3 Bring your own food to eat in case you missed lunch or dinner. I had an appointment on Friday. I got there at 530pm, and out at 930pm. My friend got there at 1030am and out at 5pm. She had highlights, hair cut and mani pedi for $55.00. Great deal. Btw, you don't need to bring a bottle of water. They provided water n cup. Even it slows, I'll be back with my daughter and I plan to do some highlights and making an appointment to do facials with my Mom. read more

I've gone to Bellus about 3 times now and each time my services have been done by the marvelous, Leslee Reyes. One of the most memorable times comes from the 2nd time when she gave me layers. I expressed to her that I wanted to keep my length while adding dramatic face framing layers. Leslee did everything in her power to give me exactly what I wanted especially kine on keeping my length. Through that process she constantly offered me reassurance about my cut, making sure I was happy with what she did. Not only was she professional she was also through with her work, even when we had finished and she felt as if I wasn't completely satisfied with my framing layers. Leslee was so determined to make me happy with the end result and did such a terrific job at listening and working with me to get an end result we both loved! I had a great experience receiving services here. The massage was wonderful. My student MT concentrated the majority of my massage on my neck and upper back like I asked and did an awesome stretch of my neck. It was still a full body massage, but I'm glad she concentrated on the points that needed the most attention. She checked in with the pressure level and provided a fantastic massage. My hair was next and I was getting a cut and highlights. The process took quite awhile because my hair was being stubborn and the color wasn't lifting, but the results were incredible. It's actually interesting to hear the students being instructed. My stylist did a good gauge of the hair color on her own and it ended up blending in really well with my natural color. I only had a little bit trimmed off to clean up my hair and the results were fantastic. As a result of my experience and the inexpensive prices, I tipped based on what a typical service would cost in a salon without the student teaching. Looking forward to trying other services. Tips: -Plan your day early if you are receiving multiple services. The services begin on time, but factor in extra time during the learning process. -Be specific with what services you want when making the appointment. I had different experiences with the people I spoke with. One was friendly, but didn't seem to understand what services I wanted.
