Koki, the owner was willing to create a custom menu based on my requests, worked with me to meet all dietary restrictions for the 50-100 unknown guests and be flexible with me on the guest count, due to nature of event. She was willing to work with me on having only 2 displayed platters and passing 7 other small bite items. They arrived promptly. Took on additional tasks that they were not responsible for, i.e. displaying the homemade desserts, packed up leftovers for guests to take and cleaned up after event like an All the feedback from guests were extremely complimentary. I ordered the boneless sliced ham as I thought that would be an easy choice for all ages. It turned out that I had to spend a half-hour of my time trimming the ham. It was so fatty that I couldn't possibly serve it to my guests in the state it arrived! Very disappointing to say the least. We didn't want to do a traditional sit-down or buffet dinner and worked with Reedville to do more of a food station, heavy hors d'oeuvres set-up for our cocktail party reception. Every single item they made was seriously delicious, not just 'good' - NW salmon cakes, goat cheese tartlets, teriyaki meatballs for passed apps, and the charcuterie presentation was beautiful. Sweet chili shrimp skewers, thai peanut chicken, asparagus risotto, arugula salad, plus two custom items we asked for: pork belly bao buns and fried chicken sliders. Everything was out of this world. When we asked to do pork belly bao buns, they didn't bat an eye or even ask any questions - and then absolutely nailed it. The amount of food was perfect. They also tended bar for us with 2 signatures and a full bar and everyone was happy and drunk the whole evening :) The team was super friendly and professional, and Jessica's responsiveness was lightning fast. It was above and beyond many of our guests expectations of what kind of food they would be served at a wedding. My now husband wanted to order excess food on purpose just so he'd have more leftovers, I cannot emphasize how yummy everything was! While taking pictures during our cocktail hour and away from our guests, all of the servers made sure to bring us the hors d'oeuvres and cocktail each which was super appreciated! As such, I wont be rushing to return to dine here again and continue to prefer Canard and Amaterra at this price point.
