Dalton's was recommended to us by friends who used them for their wedding and after researching dozens and dozens of caterers I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders with Dalton's menu choices, the set up, providing linens and plates and flatware... they came through for us with everything! The tasting was phenomenal, Dave was so easy to work with and made sure everything was what we wanted (ie using feta instead of blue cheese on the pear salad). We've had so many people compliment us on their food since our wedding and several have asked us for their info for their friends and family. Not only was the food amazing but everyone loved how the set up looked. All of the food was so well done; the tri tip carving station, salmon, fresh fruit, roasted veggies, Waldorf salad, tortellini salad, Oregon pear salad, the bread were all amazing. We got married at the McLean House and they did a fantastic job executing the set up I envisioned to fit the space. They did a great job accommodating both the few vegan and gluten free guests we had and they were all so appreciative of that! We decided to use one of their OLCC employees to serve our beer, wine and cider and they poured all of the drinks into glasses that they provided, which looked so much nicer than people drinking straight from the bottles. One of my favorite parts of the night was how Nicole asked me what my favorite drink was and kept bringing me a fresh one throughout the night and when there were only a couple strawberry ciders left she stopped serving them to guests and saved them for me. I didn't know this at the time but when I heard that I was so touched by that, that's going above and beyond! So thankful that companies like this still exist out there. These guys are in charge of the Jenkins estate, I was hoping to rent a building there to get married in January. My party was not going to be big, so Dave said the catering service would be too much for such a small party. Once it was established that I wasn't getting catering he seemed reluctant to give me any info but offered the tea house. The tea house is not a house but an outside pavilion, my wedding is in January. Now the ridiculous thing is he wanted to charge 350 bucks for me to stand outside in the freezing cold to get married and when I asked for specifics he said it won't work. I was never rude or disrespectful always gracious and appreciative but because my party wasn't big enough to spend real money, I was nothing but an afterthought. I will be telling everyone I know and leaving this review everywhere because I don't want people wasting their time! So if you have a wedding party and want to go to the Jenkins estate, watch what you say and be prepared for terrible customer service, unless your spending a lot of money. I am sure they would be nice to people who are giving them more money. My opinion is the estate should be taken care of by someone new who may have better customer service. Dave seems tired and not wanting to waste his time. As a bride to be, to feel like I was a waste of his time was terrible! read more

Daltons NW catering is amazing! They catered our wedding and reception and it was perfect, smooth and no issues. The food was delicious. We had Prime Rib, Chicken and a pasta bar for the rehearsal. They brought the entires staff who served us, including a bar tender. Dave was so nice and so easy to communicate with. Great company, great staff and great food. We would definitely use their services again if we ever need catering again, we will only have one wedding but you never know when we need to hire an amazing caterer and company again. I wish I had photos to share but I was a bit preoccupied with the whole business of getting married- but really. Pulled pork that melted in your mouth, fresh biscuits with local honey and jam, a baked bean recipe that will make you change your mind entirely on baked beans if you didn't like them before... green salads full of local fresh ingredients- and pies with local berries? I've been to two weddings in past year that Dalton's has catered. Both were wonderful. The appetizers met rave reviews from everyone we talked to at the weddings. The settings were beautiful. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The first wedding I was at had plated food served to guests. The second had a buffet that was overflowing with delicious fresh food. My first experience with Dave and Dalton's Northwest catering was for my own wedding. As we went through our venue's list of preferred caterers we quickly learned about hidden fees, services not included, exorbitant prices etc. Not with Dave Dalton. In an industry full of up-charging and playing on people's emotions Dalton's was the exception. Not only were his rates significantly lower than the competitors but his food was delicious. You can set up a trial run and he will make a mini set up like it is your wedding day for dinner. He is a straight shooter and that is what I liked about him the most. When you talk to him he says here is the price, I will take care of it, and then he delivers. We had no worries on our wedding day. Food was excellent, staff was professional and on top of everything. It was without a doubt the best decision we made in regards to our wedding. Dave and team did our summer backyard wedding and did a fantastic job. The week prior, they did slip up on scheduling when we were supposed to do a walk through of the venue, but they went above and beyond at our reception that thoroughly made up for it. The food was delicious and so beautifully displayed (we had buffet). Service was professional and we had great feedback from guests. Dave even added services at no extra cost, like passed hors 'doeurvres at cocktail hour. Our venue was also tricky in where catering would set up, etc, but they did not charge us extra for this (like many catering services will). Professional communication, extremely accommodating (they had meetings with our venue staff, let us drop off alcohol early with them and brought it for us, AND went to get more wine when we ran out mid cocktail hour), and created absolutely delicious food and beautiful display for our guests. Not to mention they are incredibly reasonably priced and have a lot of options when it comes to customizing your package - they don't require you to serve only their food and beverages like a ton of catering companies - but they will happily provide as much service as you want! As mentioned above we provided our own liquor and they were happy to provide a bartender and serve it, and we purchased our own dessert as well and they sliced and served our wedding cake. Dalton's recently catered a wedding reception of 100 for us at Jenkins Estate. You always go into these things hoping everything will be as good you'd wish it to be. Well, it was everything we hoped for and more. All of our guests felt the food was five star - and my husband and I could not be happier with the way it turned out. We went with a dinner spread featuring coho salmon (we were lucky this was in season) and prime rib, an assortment of grilled vegetables, pilaf with wild rice, potatoes, fruit platter with a great variety....also passed hors d'ouevres. They provided an excellent staff - Michelle was at the helm and immediately put to ease that everything we needed would be handled and it was. Everything was laid out elegantly and just right, all the staff we worked with were prompt in clearing plates, serving champagne for the toast, even providing a "private" room for us to leave things and get ready in the back of the main house.
