My friends and I frequented Belmont before the pandemic and missed the atmosphere and people over the past couple of years. We've been back a few times since the beginning of the year. It has a sexy vibe and is great for hanging with a few friends or just by yourself. Their cocktails are adventurous aone of my favorites is Rum With the Devil. Cool place , I came here with my mother about a week ago. She was on the mood for wine and cheese . I was a last minute thing and we didn't really know where to go . I was able find Belmont Lounge on the maps and I saw a couple of things that caught my attention . Long story short we came , the waiting was bad . Many of the tables were open but I think they were for reservations only. I felt like it was about 20 or more mins waiting. Love the atmosphere & the music--I also love its proximity to my apartment! I haven't tried the fare yet (I plan to), but I enjoyed the house red. My only advisement or criticism would be to change the verbiage of the last page of their menu in which they claim to be a "Ladies & Gentlemen's club." It is a bit tone deaf considering they've just opened up in what is historically Seattle's queer neighborhood. Since we are a hub for intersectionality & inclusivity here, in Seattle (more specifically on Capitol Hill), I hold businesses to a high standard in this regard. We had a great time getting happy hour here; so great that we came back twice in 24 hours! We pulled up a couple of chairs with our group on the couch to hang out and play some trivial pursuit. However, after about 1 hour in, a (presumably) manager made us adjust our seats by trading our two chairs for a tiny bench. Our tiny bench sat directly in front of the other chairs we were just sitting in, and no one ever sat in the chairs after we moved, since it would be way too cramped. We were definitely willing to make room, but this felt arbitrary and controlling. A major turn off. Probably wouldn't return :/ read more

I have mixed feelings about this place- the atmosphere is lovely, fairly comfortable with comfortable chairs, couches, tables, etc for a nice lounge feel. I was under the impression that The Belmont was more of a "wine-bar" with cocktails and other spirits as well (considering the history of the space as a wine shop) however I was very disappointed in the wine selection. There were only 5-ish options for reds. One of which is the 'house'. Their menu of cocktails, beer, and spirit flights makes up the actual menu. They offer a few tapas selections and have a daily feature tapas that changes. My friend and I had the burrata with toast and tomatoes and it was quite good. One of the wines we had was lovely and the other two we tried were meh. The issues I had was that one of the circulating hostesses?waitresses? Kept taking our damn menus! We had to keep asking to get the menu back. We only wanted one copy so when we were ready for another item we could be ready to order. At least 3 times this lady took our menus! She also only asked one of us for our ID- which I don't mind people asking for ID's, but it's a bit awkward when you only ask one person in the party. The music kept getting louder and louder over the course of a few hours too, which is just a small personal pet peeve and may not bother others-I don't like yelling conversations though. And lastly- my biggest complaint is that they don't put their wine-flight option on the menu! It wasn't u til my friend and I both had wines that we found out that do tasting flight, and I just can't understand why you wouldn't list this option on the menu. read more

This is a really nice and cozy lounge. We came here after dinner on a double date night, because we were looking for a nice bar to relax at. The ambiance is great. The furniture is a bit mismatched and vintage, which I love. It was warm and cozy. I opted for a cocktail called the Singapore sling, and it was pretty good. My hubby had a whisky flight, and our friends had some cocktails as well. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. This is just a great place for great conversation and great cocktails. read more

I came here with my brother from out of town and the service was absolutely horrible. I am hardly able to get out of the house because I have a newborn so time wasted on waiting for 2 drinks to come out was really frustrating - we waited about 25 minutes for our drinks and mine was just a glass of wine. Concerned about being ignored and wasting more time, I asked for the check early and she gave me the wrong check THREE times! And she even ran my card on the 3rd check which wasn't ours and it needed to be voided - she said it would clear when the bar closes but I have to wait and see with my credit card statements. I didn't want to tip anything but my brother said that would be wrong... I am still so pissed because it ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable drink out, which I ended up leaving behind. Bottom line: Always check your receipt if you decide to come into Belmont - the lighting is dark and they will give you someone else's bill. read more

We loved The Belmont! We were in the Cap Hill and noticed the Belmont's sign saying happy hour 5-7. It was nice to see a happy hour on Saturday, so we thought we would just enjoy a cocktail and a glass of wine before heading home. The cocktails were well crafted and there wine selection by the glass includes Reds, Whites, Rosés and bubbly from all over the world. They also had 50+ wines by the bottle that you could purchase out on display. The fiancé got a glass of wine and I had the 212 Manhattan, both were so good we decided to have another and ordered food. We ordered meatballs and the truffle popcorn. When the server delivered the meatballs, she said the owner makes them in-house daily! WOW the quality shows! The service was spot on. Not only was the staff rude to us for calling it bubbly not sparkling wine, but the service was slow, the food was mediocre--basically cheese plates that they called tapas. We ran into this place walking on Capitol Hill and we had never been. It was a Saturday Night, so usually everything is busy around 10 but there was a big couch open so we gave it a try. We where greeted by the the host who was so nice and accommodating, pulled out a few chairs and managed to sit our group of 7 together! We had an amazing time. Service was great! I cannot stress that out enough. We tried several cocktails and recommendation by the staff which where on point. There are little snacks to nibble on and went great with our drinks. Music was at a perfect volume, for those of us getting "older" you want some background music but just enough so that you can hold a conversation without having a sore throat the next day. I'm not saying this is a place is quiet or boring, on the contrary, the ambiance and clientele where just as cool as the place itself. I would be visiting the Belmont Lounge again, as it left an amazing first impression in me and all of our friends. We where here from around 9:30 to 1:00 and never did we feel pressured or anything, on the contrary the crew kept on checking on us, helped us select great drinks and have a fun night. read more
