The Nest has a great water view but you can find so many others with better service, views and choice of apps.

As I tried to get her attention, I felt like she repeatedly looked at me with annoyance and made me feel unwelcome. Rather than simply explaining the reservation policy herself, she went to get the manager instead. She had a problem with Hispanics. She refused to engaged at all. The way I was treated left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially as someone who was genuinely excited to visit. A beautiful venue can only go so far when the hospitality doesn't match. I would have happily accepted that reservations were required if I had simply been treated with basic kindness and respect from the start. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because the location itself is stunning, and the manager handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, because of my interaction with the bartender I've added in the photos, I don't see myself returning. Sadly they have a Prejudice bartender.

Past visit 2+ years ago the reservation is through Tock. Recently the reservation is through OpenTable so I thought the points credits will be honored here as they are in the OpenTable network, so I redeemed points to discount $8, only to not be applied to the bill since the reservation $15 per person is a deposit and refunded on seating, instead of most places where the deposit deducts the cost of the final bill. None of the bartenders could do anything, and didn't bother raising this to management (probably downstairs at Tavern Law could've remedied the situation but the short turnaround time implied they didn't try). Additionally, when I got my drink, the bartender did not bother taking a second look to see there's a bug. It was deep inside the drink, not at the top, so the bug did not just fly and land on the drink after being served. So it was a bit negligent, especially given they jacked up the price from $21 to $25 in just 2 years. The price increase did not justify the quality, if anything, price went up significantly and quality dropped... The bartender addressed the issue by remaking the drink but the drink was noticeably smaller than the original one. It would only have made sense if I drank a lot of it, but I only had small sip stopped when I saw the bug. The experience was very frustrating overall that I didn't wish to tip, only to find out they added a 20%+ service charge without my consent when I looked at the credit card statement. That is fraud. Fraudulently adding a tip to yourself earned you a 1 star. Otherwise this would've been more a 3 star experience due to the miss from the bug, and the OpenTable issue.

My partner and I recently visited Belmont for what was supposed to be a pleasant evening. The initial experience was delightful, with excellent cocktails and a fantastic waitress. However, our evening took a disturbing turn when a man, presumably the manager, approached us. After merely an hour of being there, we were asked if we were okay, to which we responded positively. We were enjoying our drinks and the atmosphere, which was precisely what we came for, as we were celebrating a significant moment in our lives - his mother's new job and relocation. But, to our shock, this same individual returned and told us that if we weren't ordering anything else, we needed to leave. The reason given? A line of people supposedly waiting for our spot. What left us deeply unsettled was that there were two other couples, both white, seated right behind us. They had been there before us and were engaging in the exact same behavior - lounging and enjoying their drinks without any interference. We couldn't help but notice the stark contrast in how we were treated compared to them. We had already accumulated a substantial tab of $120, so the notion that we were asked to leave due to our lack of orders simply didn't add up. What added insult to injury was that the manager had hardly interacted with us throughout the evening. It took all of 30 seconds for him to decide we should be removed from the establishment. We briefly left the premises, only to find that there was no line and nobody occupying the space we had vacated. This blatant inconsistency prompted me to confront the manager, expressing my belief that we were singled out solely because of the color of our skin. His response was far from satisfactory - citing a shortage of staff members, which had no relevance to the issue at hand. Being treated this way was not only deeply hurtful but also a clear act of discrimination. We were essentially forced to leave Belmont because of the color of our skin, an experience that no one should have to endure in this day and age. We expected to be treated with the same respect and courtesy as any other patrons, but instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and marginalized. This incident has left a lasting impression on us, and we urge Belmont to reflect on its commitment to inclusivity and equal treatment for all customers. I then ordered one of their cocktails, Fuller, go easy on the Pepsi which had Whistle Pig rye, Willett bourbon, Cola reduction, Luxardo sour cherry bitters, Angostura bitters, and orange spritz. Loved the reference to Home Alone and loved this variation an old fashioned - I could taste the cola reduction. Service was great behind the bar - the folks here know their cocktails and had a lot of passion about the bar. Definitely will come back again when in the neighborhood.

Our server and greeter, Tawnie was lovely and so charming and helpful, as was the bartender, I failed to get her name, but she was fantastic.
