He scoffed and said "Its not like Im gonna treat you better because of your insurance" and something along the lines of "you can go ask them upfront". He came off rude for asking a genuine question. She simply wasn't sure if insurance would cover both things like our last eye doctor, we weren't asking to be treated better..? Even my little siblings picked up on this and felt uncomfortable. To put it mildly, this place took complete advantage of my wife last year. I didn't know until after the fact that they saw our 11 year old daughter without my wife, because of 'covid protocol', which upon asking another eye doctor is actually illegal. We had eye coverage from work and somehow still got charged $500 and no one would explain why or where the charges came from. After asking around for another eye doctor, who made us feel like long time family members, they also stated our daughter did not have bifocals like my wife was told! I don't doubt that half the reason our daughters eyes are worse is because of this place. Dont go here, they will take advantage and over charge you! Be careful!! read more

I recently called them to get my PD reading. They refuse to give it to you! I spent $500 for glasses there along with 2 eye exams and they still refuse to give you your PD reading. I called Eyemart express where I had gotten glasses before, they had NO PROBLEM giving me my PD reading! Eyemart express is not taking our insurance anymore but Shopco optical is and they will give you your PD reading! I let Beliot Eyecare know that they are losing two patients, the office manager did not seem to care. I also wanted Dr. Kelly, the owner to call me. I'm sure he never got the message or doesn't care either. Sad. read more

Love this eye clinic! Girls at the desk are great they're very friendly and kind. The Dr. Is great also! He is very matter of fact and thorough. I have been a customer for several years. In 2021 I had an exam as usual, but afterward I had an unpleasant experience with a staff member. This female was loud, had a bad attitude and was discussing her personal business to a coworker at a volume level that was unacceptable for an office setting. Including the subject matter. After my pupils were dilated i was asked to sit in the waiting room where i witnessed this ordeal. After my dilation exam, this person got nasty asking if I wanted to look at frames or not. I said how? I can"t see right now, she stated well lets get that copay from you then. I stated all I wanted to do was leave. For some reason not one person offered the temporary sunglasses for my dilated eyes. Just a week ago I called to make an appointment for my annual eye exam, I have never experienced such a rude person on the phone. Seems this lady is still there, and its unfortunate but Ive gotten an appointment elsewhere and your competition was epic level customer service that you could take a lesson from. I did not call Beloit Family Eye care back to cancel my appointment in the fear of getting snapped at like when I called to make an appointment in the first place. The physicians at this clinic are fine, but the business office leaves a lot to be desired. I have been a patient there for several years and have yet to have a positive experience regarding their bill processing and/or filing with insurance. It seems their protocol just is to bill insurance once and if the claim isn't processed, send to right to collection. They have done this to me twice and I have yet to receive a bill from them in the mail or a telephone call asking where my payment is. The first time it happened I contacted the business manager and was told that my insurance company needed more information from me before they would pay. I called and was told by a representative from my insurance company that they did not need information from me but rather needed the business office at Beloit Family Eye Care to provide the proper coding for the bill to be processed- not my fault and not my insurance company's fault but rather the fault of Beloit Family Eye Care. In the mean time, they sent my bill to collection. I have never been delinquent in paying my bills, and do not appreciate being treated like this. Needless to say, I will not be going back even though I was very happy with my eye care needs. read more

My First Visit With Dr. Kelley. He is an eye doctor who is very concerned with your eyes and whats happening. He is Very Friendly, Concerned, An Explains Everything So You Can Understand Your Eye Problem.I have Chronic Dry Eyes its not easy to keep them from tearing constantly.
