Vanessa worked with me to get everything going then the dentist came over. He didn't formally introduce himself, but other than that he was professional and handled a complication that came up quite well. He made sure I was good and numb (and did an excellent job distracting my mouth so the injections didn't hurt as much). Afterwards he showed me an x-ray to confirm that I was all clear. I want to note that I was extremely nervous and after the local anesthetic was administered I starting panicking. After I expressed this to Vanessa, she really went out of her way to make sure I was doing okay and to talk to and distract me. I can't even say how significant this was for me, especially when the complication came up. I'm so grateful that she was there. Jessica assisted us as well and was great too. As I left, I couldn't really talk, but the ladies up front were really patient with me typing out questions on my phone. I paid out of pocket and the feel that the prices were pretty reasonable.

An example: I'm rough on my glasses and, as a result, have gone through several pair in my fifteen or so years wearing lenses. On one such occasion I managed to snap an arm off of my glasses a day before I went on a family vacation. In a panic I went into Northern Illinois Optical to see if they could somehow reattach the arm. Without an appointment they offered to grind the lenses in my broken pair to fit a new frame and only charged me for the new frame. I walked out with new glasses a half hour later. Remarkable. Now that might be an anecdote but it merely illustrates a pattern of kindness, professionalism, and experience that I find unparalleled in my time wearing glasses.

He was the first to recommend traction, which gave me a nonmedicinal method of pain relief at home. He truly cares about alleviating pain and educating on lifestyle changes that can help. In this difficult season, he was one of the few able to provide any degree of pain relief. He was also one of the few who insisted the pain was temporary. The office staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They turn down music and dim lights to accommodate those with migraines.

Dr. Burch's staff was friendly and accommodating and they were able to get me in the same day as my referral. His office is very professional and clean and I was made to feel very at ease. Dr. Burch himself was very kind and understanding and made me feel like I was an integral part of the treatment process and helped me to understand the procedure and what was going to be done beforehand. I didn't feel rushed and I felt that he was sincerely concerned about my wellbeing. He performed a laser surgery, quickly, and efficiently and there were no complications.
