Great doctors, detailed comprehensive examination, stratospheric pricing…read more I appreciated the time taken to comprehensively evaluate my condition, but just about had a seizure when I learned the cost of the instruments was more than I paid for my last car.  I did some comparison shopping after the appointment, and was amazed and relieved to learn Costco has the goods.  Best member benefit ever.  Whilst I appreciate Costco dont have licensed audiologists on their staff, they were nonetheless able to equip me with comparable instruments for one fifth of the cost.  The markup on these disposable pieces of technology must be enormous.

Their thorough evaluation and initial report on my vertigo issues impressed my other providers and me too! They didn't dumb it down. They obviously assumed they were dealing with a thinking person who wanted it all, not the oversimplified version, so they poured it on. Then they directed me to their in-house physical therapy doc for work on my dizziness. She was so kind and uber-patient. More kintergarten teacher than drill sergeant! She gave lots of encouragement and calmly explained the purpose of each exercise and what neural stimulation I should look for to know I was doing it right. If y'all had 6 stars, I'd use em here!

Two years ago, I was fitted with high-end Phonaks through a well known online provider. They seemed fine... until I met Dr. Cliff Olson. His expertise, precision, and best practices made all the difference. I switched to top-tier Oticons, and with the AHS fitting process (much different than my previous one) my hearing is dramatically better and my tinnitus has significantly improved. Yes, top hearing aids can be expensive. So, don't waste time and money going to a low tech or online provider? Start with Applied Hearing Solutions. You'll be glad you did!

I would stay far away from this company. They have shown to be either fraudulent or totally unethical. When I had my first appointment Dr Wahl was adamant that I needed the Starkly brand) after doing research I learned that the Oticon were a better fit for my needs. I ordered hearing aids (oticon) Dr Wahl and I agreed he would submit the order for the top-tier. When I got my receipt it had the lower tier on the receipt. When I brought it to their attention, I was told it would take a few days to get the correct receipt. The day I was supposed to pick them up they told me there was a mistake and I would have to wait until the next Wednesday which was 9/3/25. I went to pick my hearing aids up and Dr Wahl actually took 2 of the little tools and set them aside and was going to keep them. He stated "those are more for him than me ". I asked him to put them back. As I was driving home (with my new hearing aids in. I noticed that the air conditioner in my car was extremely loud. (Background noise). Which is one of the downsides to the lower tier hearing aids, and because I have tinnitus I needed the top-tier. Moving forward when I got home the air conditioning in My Home was extremely loud to the point to where I could not keep the hearing aids in. At this time, I did some research and started looking at the hearing aids. I noticed that on the hearing aids, the description was the name of the lower tier hearing aids. However, on the receipt, the name, the description name on the receipt was for the top-tier hearing aids, and the serial number on the receipt was for the lower to your hearing aids. I also noticed that on the first receipt I got when I purchased the hearing aids. The description is the top-tier hearing aids And the billing code is for a totally different hearing aid. Now, when I first met Dr. Wahl, he bragged about how long he had been there and that it was a family owned company. So I was initially confident that he knew what he was doing. From my experience evidence shows that they're either pulling some sort of fraudulent scam or something because from the time I had to correct them and have them put the top-tier hearing aid on my first initial order receipt. And then the two other receipts with the discrepancies of the billing code and the serial numbers not matching the top-tier hearing aids I put a fraudulent claim in with my health insurance. Again, my heart goes out to individuals that aren't paying attention, especially our seniors that go in there trusting that this is a safe place and that they are not going to be taken advantage of and that just don't do the research. The effects that I had from getting the Lower to your hearing aids how it affected my hearing with my tinnitus was torturous. And so Dr. Wahl called me back and left a voicemail stating that I was correct and they were going to fix it. It was just a clerical error. I don't believe it, why because the clerical error was brought to their attention when I first pointed out that they told me we were ordering a top-tier, but the receipt said the lower tier. One would think that with all the experience he says he has it would've been fixed the first time. AND as a professional when he was putting in the batteries in my hearing aid, you would think he would check the little small writing of the description of the hearing aid, which clearly had the label of the lower tier hearing aid. Are you telling me that A supposedly experienced Audiologist would miss that ? So where is the discrepancy ? I believe they didn't think they were gonna get caught. I believe they've been doing this for some time and because of the demographics of the people that they serve it hasn't been brought to their attention. !!! Stay away from this company.!!! If your parents are going here for hearing aids, I would encourage you to check the receipts. Make sure they're getting what they're paying for and they're the proper hearing aids for their hearing needs Because from my experience, Dr. Wahl pushes the Starley, which may not fit everybody's hearing need.!! he's probably getting a commission or something for selling those. One more thing I have also experience that if they want to change your appointment time, they're just gonna send you an email saying this is your new time without you confirming that you can even change the time. Which at the end of the day could cause a lot of stress for people.!! Bad business all the way around I don't care how long they've been in business. I located Dr Jessica Dommick of Hearing Doctors of Iowa in Ankeny, Iowa. Upon calling her office, I learned that Dr Dommick was only an owner and was rarely there and did not see patients. I made an appointment with her audiologist, Dr Olivia Olson. As newly being diagnosed with hearing loss, this was my first experience purchasing hearing aids. I had spent many hours reading and watching videos of the extensive selection of hearing aids available. Being overwhelmed, I had hoped that Dr Olivia would help explain the benefits of each manufacturer, their strengths and options etc. Unfortunately what I received was a dollar driven sales platform including a laminated legal sized chart of the numerous brands. All styles were combined with the only difference being whether I wanted to purchase at level 1 at $8700ish, level 2 at $7600ish, level 3 at $6500ish, level 4 at $5400ish etc. All brands were available at all levels but they really only sold Starkey, Phonak and Widex (if tinnitus was a concern) but didn't recommend Phonak. One night out at dinner with friends I noticed everyone talking and laughing, I understood @#$%^ nothing! That was it. I searched and searched and found Cliffs reviews and his videos on YouTube. I watched many of his clips and noticed this will help people find their hearing solutions, however in many cases not to Cliffs benefit. I saw Cliff and got tested with the typical tones and button pressing, But then also tested with sentences that had no context and languages I didn't know so it would catch every nuance of my hearing needs. Cliff answered my questions and also told me the answers to questions I should have asked. There wasn't a stone unturned. After about a year I had a problem with one hearing aid giving me more static than my boss, I called in to Cliffs office and set an appointment based on how soon I could get there. WHEN I entered the office they had a set of loaners of the same make, model and color I use with MY PRECRIPTION already applied. You now have found the best Audiologist Dr in the west. The only reason it took me 10 mins to get in and out of there was me. His staff has got to be high on something too, way to happy and nice. Mark Snow.

I had also gotten second opinions from other providers during this time. But after comparing the different providers, it was obvious that Dr. Clark's office was the best fit for me. I am mystified at the reviews for Platinum Hearing…read more I bought the Oticon hearing aids and the Audiologists could not calibrate them. There was no volume, they squealed and screeched in my ears. The people around me could hear the noise. The Audiologists told me to try the Phonak, and again the Audiologists could not adjust them and again they screeched and squealed in my ear. I bought several microphones as they told me they would help, still no calibration. Again, at their suggestion, I bought a Widex Allure. After weeks their Audiologists could not adjust them to my hearing needs. They led me on to believe if we kept trying, which took me out of the 30 day window. I finally decided I was being a fool. I kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different answer. After thousand of dollars and way to much time I returned the Allures, in which, Platinum Hearing took a $500.00 return fee. They were the ones that couldn't calibrate them, as they never stopped screaming into my hears. I now have a pair called Signia. American Medical has them where I can actually hear better than I have in years and they don't make any screeching sounds. By the way, their Audiologist and owner only works 1.5 days a week and the second one 3 days a week. They were just not qualified to take care of my hearing needs.

I saw two other ENT's that were not able to help me before finding Dr. Rodriguez. I saw him…read moreinitially for help with Meniere's Disease. He was the first ENT to check to see if I had allergies that could be an underlying trigger. I was amazed to learn that I not only had allergies, but that I had extreme allergies to common environmental grasses and trees. I have completed 3+ years of allergy shots at his office, and have seen a big decrease in my Meniere's symptoms. After completing years of allergy shots, I asked why I might still need Breathe Right strips to sleep at night. He did a CT scan and found that I also had a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates. He did a septoplasty with inferior turbinate reduction for me 10 days ago. I was anxious about the procedure, as I'd heard of others online who had complications and difficult recoveries. Dr. Rodriguez patiently and empathetically answered all of my questions before the surgery. I did not feel rushed at all...he wanted me to ask everything and feel comfortable. The surgery was performed at the Deer Valley Surgery and Endoscopy Center, and everyone there was amazing. The anesthesiologist also answered all of my questions before the surgery. Recovery from this surgery is not super fun, but Dr. Rodriguez was right; the first 2-3 days was the worst (very little air going through my nose), but then it got easier. I never needed the prescription pain medication, just Tylenol. When I was concerned that I was bleeding too much, I called the office and sent a photo. I was reassured in minutes that all was well. I really appreciated his quick response. I had the nasal splints removed a week after the surgery, and I am SO happy! I can breathe easily through my nose, and I can sleep on either side without needing to use a Breathe Right strip. I have an Apple Watch, and I got a sleep score of 98 last night, which is a huge improvement! The 2 points were lost because I went to bed late, not because I woke up. I highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez. He's very good at what he does! I'm so glad I found him. The first photo is in the car right after the surgery. The second photo is 48 hours after the surgery.

On surgery day, he made a genuine effort to honor my wishes and align his team accordingly, which made me feel comfortable and cared for. My deviated septum surgery could not have gone better. Dr. Rodriguez and his team have been outstanding every step of the way, and I'm truly grateful for the care I received. I would absolutely recommend him.
