I was craving some sweet ice cream and decided to pass by the Ben and Jerry parlor located off Miracle Mile. Here you will crazy flavors that change depending on the season, so I ordered a cone with two scoops. Thankfully the two scoops can be different flavors so I picked my usual chocolate chip mint and the unique flavor of churros. The mint was very smooth and included massive chunks of chocolate chip, while the churros flavor was excellent it was a cinnamon flavored ice cream with pieces of churros mixed inside. Been coming to this Ben & Jerry's for years now and normally it's great. Located in Coral Gables this shop gets it's regulars but not really ever packed. Decided to stop by today for a sweet treat after nearby dinner. Typically I love trying the scoop only shop flavors since it typically has flavors I cant find at the regular grocery store. I couldn't find any today and when asked they couldn't tell me if they had any or not. Service which is usually a highlight of Ben & Jerry's was not very lively tonite. But what threw me off more than anything was when I went to pay. $14 for two small cups with one scoop?!? I had to double check and yes the prices went up. Almost $7 for a single scoop. Now I expect a scoop shop to be more than grocery store prices but that's robbery. I could have gotten 3 pints of the same ice cream (since there weren't even exclusive flavors) for the same price. I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream and the variety of flavors they have. Many of the tub's here had that ice coating on it telling me it's not fresh.. maybe even partially defrosted at some point. My friend was super excited that they had dairy free (coconut almond fudge) and she loved it. The guys got butter pecan and I got Phish food. The service was friendly. Here let us sample different flavors. There were only two tables inside and a few outside. We were approached by a homeless man who then went inside the store and argued with the guy working there. I've been to this Ben & Jerry's many times over the past couple of years and it does it's job as a chain ice cream shop. It has all the familiar Ben & Jerry's flavors and service is usually ok but the employees aren't particularly friendly. Since the store is pretty small, there's room for one table inside but you can usually snag a seat outside. One thing to mention though is Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day in April where customers can come and choose one scoop of whatever flavor their heart desires. For free! This annual event is pretty popular can have lines around the block, but the line moves very quickly since nobody is having to stop at the cash register. Basically this Ben & Jerry's will satisfy your ice cream craving and serves as a nice dessert when you're in the Miracle Mile area but isn't particularly impressive. read more

The workers at this location always have the largest smiles on their faces - a very welcoming place indeed. There is inside and outside seating, both very well maintained. No sticky chairs or tables here! Be warned that this location can get very busy and the seating can be quite limited. My favorite combination has to be the sweet cream and cookies in a waffle cone. The cones and bowls are also made in the store, and the best is when you get a freshly made one. Soft and chewy waffle with ice cream in each bite - yum. It has been on two different occasions where customer service its put aside and completely ignored. This is the closest Ben& Jerrys from my home and in two different occasions they decided I could not order what I wanted. In a week day they decided To close early, 30 minutes before closing all the ice cream was put away. So I went again on a weekend and they couldn't make a smoothie because they had already put to wash the blenders. This is all during "open scheduled hours". I am not sure what is going on, but definitely going to other ice cream shops where they actually respect closing and opening hours and avoiding this unpleasant moments. read more
