Gelato E Macchiato is a small local FL chain of Gelato stores. As of this review the Coral Gables location is the second and latest venue. Info from their website: "Welcome to Gelato E Macchiato, Miami's premier destination for exquisite, handcrafted gelato! Founded in 2021 by Daniel Lee, our first store nestled in the vibrant Wynwood neighborhood has become a beloved spot for gelato lovers. Daniel's passion for gelato was ignited during his travels through Italy, and he has since dedicated himself to bringing that authentic experience to South Florida. We take pride in producing our own gelato at our state-of-the-art production plant in North Miami, ensuring that every batch meets our high standards for quality and taste. Using the freshest ingredients sourced from local farms, each artisanal creation is a celebration of flavor and innovation. Whether you're a seasoned gelato connoisseur or a curious newcomer, we invite you to discover the joy of our unique flavors." - https://www.gelatoemacchiato.com/ Not a lot more information present, simple and straightforward I suppose. This is some of the better Gelato I had. I know the Gelato competition in Fl is stiff, with the endless summers and more severe heatwaves lately. Something cooling and tasty will be a big hit. The venue is a good size with a decent amount of seats in the back. There is an adult menu in the back by QUORE. ULTRA PREMIUM GELATO WITH LIQUOR. I gotta give this a shot next time. On this trip I stuck with the regular Gelato; I picked up two scoops and as a bonus they gave me a smaller cone with a third flavor...this might be a promotion for the new location. I'm not one to decline... ッ #GELATO: ~ BLACK GOLD (DARK CHOCOLATE SORBET) - 5/5 ~ PISTACCHIO 4.5/5 ~ COCONUT - 4.5/5 Every flavor tasted just as advertised...creamy and not too sweet without any artificial taste. I'd return and try all the flavors in a heartbeat.

Good flavor selection and also have cookies and chocolate Be aware that is pricey I tried the passion fruit yogurt gelato with a waffle cone. ($8 for small one scoop) Since the place has a nice seating area on the back I indulged with the treat forgetting about the rush outside If you walk towards the back of the business you will find amazing infused ice creams the to will definitively try next time, I believe operates under different name but belongs to the same establishment

Fabulous concept and incredibly busy yogurt shop in the heart of Coconut Grove. We walked in and…read morewere welcomed & offered samples of delicious homemade yogurt. The plain tart was very thick, the Greek honey sweet, th hazelnut & chocolate were perfect. We were directed to walk around the corner to sample frozen yogurt that we equally luscious. While waiting on line I went into the private bathroom stall to wash my hands and it was immaculate. I tasted the Greek biscuit frozen yogurt, and didn't need to try others since it was tangy and full of flavor. The cups were large, I took one and served myself. I didn't try the greek honey chocolate, tart, wild beer nor mango. We got to the immaculate topping bar and the fresh fruit, nuts, candies ... were overwhelming. My yogurt went on the scale, and it was heavier than I thought, but worth every penny and bite. At $1.35 an ounce it was worth every cent. The selection of smoothies & bowls would make a perfect lunch. In 2012, David, Tanja and Jonathan opened a Go Greek Yogurt in Beverly Hills. Ingredients are sourced & imported directly from Europe, bringing the taste of the Mediterranean to the Coconut Grove. Currently there are six shops in the Miami area, one in Manhattan, Kuwait & a few in California. I'm thrilled that Go Greek Yogurt is coming to City Place in West Palm Beach across from Eataly. I joined the club & downloaded the app; I'm very ready!!! However, I'm equally afraid because the calories & grams of sugar are not posted!

ChatGPT actually suggested that Go Greek Yogurt was the closest thing I'd find in Miami, so I was excited to give it a try. The yogurt itself was good, but the surprise came at checkout. Three frozen yogurts came to $56!!! We honestly thought there had to be a mistake. Even in Seattle, Hellenika wasn't anywhere near that expensive. At that price, it's very difficult to justify going back. While I enjoyed the product, the value simply wasn't there for us.

I have a serious nut allergy, and at most ice cream shops, employees are willing to take reasonable precautions, such as using a clean scoop and serving from a fresh container in the back to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. When we explained my allergy, the employee quickly told us that she could not accommodate it and immediately returned to watching the FIFA game on a laptop. Two young employees were working at the time, and despite there being only one other customer waiting, they seemed distracted, rushed, and more focused on the game than assisting us. I completely understand that a business may not be able to guarantee an allergen-free environment, but the lack of concern, explanation, or effort to assist was extremely disappointing. We left without ordering.

Val took my order and was incredibly kind, offering me several flavors to try. She almost convinced me to switch to the Irish Coffee flavor, but in the end I stayed loyal to my original choice: Caramel Cone, and it did not disappoint! One of the best parts of this location is the terrace seating, perfect for enjoying the beautiful outgoing yet relaxed vibe that Coral Gables has to offer. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I'm in the mood for some refreshing ice cream and a little moment to unwind.

After losing his job, Michel Romeu entered the ice cream market in 2016 by making small batches of…read moreartisan ice cream. He named the business after his daughter, Melody. Sweet Melody makes all of their ice cream from scratch as well as any baked goods that go into it and toppings. They don't use any artificial colors or flavors. The 16 percent butterfat ice cream is made without egg yolks and can be described as having a rich and dense texture. An egg yolk French base is used for flavors like creme brûlée, key lime pie, and brownie batter. They offer creative signature, weekly, and seasonal flavors. I have enjoyed Sweet Melody ice cream at the Citadel in Little Haiti and at their Kendall location. I was really looking forward to coming to the Coral Gables shop which opened in October of 2022. Interestingly this location didn't open until 5PM. In any case the timing worked out perfectly for us and there is even free parking in the lot behind the store. We were the first ones in Sweet Melody's as they were turning on the lights and by the time we left, there was a crowd behind us. I wanted to visit this location because they have more of a variety of scoops rather than just selling the $12 pints. A single scoop of ice cream is $6.50. After a taste test I decided on the Strawberry Pop Tart but the Krispy Treatz was a close second. The Strawberry Pop Tart is a vanilla ice cream with homemade strawberry pop tarts. I really enjoyed the large chunks of flaky pastry filled with strawberry jam throughout the ice cream. I really wanted my ice cream in a waffle cone but was told that it would be an hour before the machine heated up to make the waffle cones! While I enjoyed my ice cream in a cup my friend bought a few of their pints to go. I ended up getting the Berry White pint along with her haul. Unfortunately my pint had none of the promised raspberry swirl. Sweet Melody's tastes like a care free summer. I love how they generally get the ice cream to mix in ratio just right for my taste. I like a little ice cream holding my sweet treats together. I wish they had all of the pint flavors available as scoops but no bueno. The June special Pina Colada Cake was really calling my name. I also discovered too late the incredible looking BDAY Cakewich made with cake batter ice cream in between slices of cake. Maybe next time.
