Can never go wrong with Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Stopping here around 9am at night while other dessert places were closed we grab some cups of ice cream and sherbet for a treat for walking on the windy pier watching others fish late at night. The location was small with a few tables with wipes and sanitizer out which doubled as a way for us to buss our own tables and keep things safe for all that were enjoying their treats during these Covid times. Our party of 6 were taken care of quickly with 5 cups of ice cream and sherbet and a milkshake. The team of two staff were able to be accommodating, answering questions, offering suggestions and finally serving us. We were lucky to be licking our cold treats before a couple more large parties came in. Best to grab your treats and enjoy the rest of the town. This is my favorite dessert spot on Emerald Isle. I love my ice cream. I like custard and Ben and Jerry's. Sorry, but it's hard to beat Ben and Jerry's. This particular shop is fantastic! Their selection is huge. Their waffle cones are so fresh they are still somewhat warm. I love their chocolate sprinkle cone. (Im such a little kid when it comes to ice cream.) All their selections are outstanding. My favorites are seven layer coconut bar and fish food among many others. The service is always exceptional. They are always crowded but they get people in and out efficiently while being polite, professional, and helpful. read more

How can you even go wrong with Ben & Jerry's ice cream?? I had a craving for ice cream, and had my kids with me, so we stopped in. My 3 year old wanted a sample, and the sample size was huge! The banana split I ordered had too small of scoops, the toppings were very scarce, and the banana was NOT ripe (green and tough to chew). Another family member ordered a hot fudge sundae and there was barely any hot fudge on the ice cream. We went in this afternoon and ordered several different flavors of their Fresh Packed pints. The young lady working was very friendly the entire time. (Even though some of the flavors we chose were quite hard to dip out.) She had a smile on her face and told me not to worry about it when I apologize for picking some of the more difficult flavors. This has been a spot we visit multiple times a year. They are open late which is a plus, and the service is quick. Great flavors & they let you try as many if them as you like before purchasing. They have waffle cones, dipped waffle cones, waffle bowls, and the standard cone & cup. I tried "The Tonight Dough", "Americone Dream", "Chocolate Therapy", "Coffee Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz", and settled on the classic "Phish Food" in a waffle cone. So yummy. Of course it's good, it's Ben & Jerry's, but this location doesn't offer a public restroom! What's up with that? I had my 3 year old nephew in there and he had to go to the bathroom (and when he has to go, he has to GO) and they wouldn't let him use the restroom. We live here and I can tell you this family run business is all about helping out in the community. They are often hosting ice cream events to give back to other famlies in need.
