    Cheyenne's Red Velvet Birthday Cake

Sugarloaf made a 3-layer 8-inch birthday cake for my daughter. It was red velvet with cream cheese frosting on the inside and a buttercream on the outside so that she could make it just the right color. The wording is a quote from her favorite book. And yes, those are dragon wings made out of fondant! They were so accommodating and were happy to take our order. The bakery is in a quaint little shop. This is quite a gem in Morehead City!

Such a fun bakery! Everyone is super nice and you can tell their food is made with love! You need to get there early, I came because I saw fresh bread Fridays and arrived at 12:30 and they were completely sold out. I'll definitely be setting my alarm to arrive at 8 AM when they open! I ordered a chocolate croissant and he suggested that they warm it up. OMG! This literally is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life!

I was looking for a birthday cake for my mom and I am so glad I found Sugarloaf! The owner made us a gorgeous chocolate cake and was so willing to work with me to make something she would love. Of course the cake was beautiful and delicious and exactly what we wanted. The shop seemed pretty bare bones but I guess when the cakes are this good, the shop doesn't need to be fancy. I would highly recommend. Excellent customer service too, he gave me some free birthday candles!

Hidden gem on Arendell! Grab a book from your local Webb Memorial Public Library then stroll on over to the bakery for some delicious goodness!

It's not a bakery. It's an illusion. The owner is not a friendly person Service is fair.Baked goods sad.

Cute little bakery. Go early because they close when they sell out - and also the good stuff will sell out first!
