Our family (my wife and I plus 8 kids) is on our annual 30 day cross country trip and this year we are cruising through New England. One of our stops was in Conway, NH. We've been getting ice cream almost every day and trying to get out ice cream from locally owned ice cream shops. Here in Conway we had been going to Trails End Ice Cream which serves up locally made ice cream with HUGE portions. On this particular day we had stopped at a local bakery to get some cupcakes and since Ben and Jerry's was located next door, we decided we would just get ice cream there. We lined up all the kids to place their orders but were shocked when they pulled out one micro cup and put the smallest scoop of ice cream in it that I had ever seen. On top that they wanted to charge over $6 for that mini scoop. We paid for the one scoop and quickly left and made the five minute drive to Trails End Ice Cream where the super mega scoop is only $4 and a double scoop (which is over a pint of ice cream) is only $6. I'm not complaining about the quality of the ice cream at Ben and Jerry's, but the super small portions are way overpriced, particularly when a much better alternative (Trails End Ice Cream) is only five minutes away. Save your money and avoid this particular Ben and Jerry's and drive down to Trails End Ice Cream and get freshly made local ice cream at reasonable prices. read more

I had to cancel a catering event due to a last-minute change and Melissa was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful with processing a refund after I experienced an issue with the original payment method. Even though I didn't have the chance to work with them for our event, I would recommend other's partner with them based on their customer service. read more

This place is absolutely crazy. It feels like a liminal space from my nightmares. The lighting is insane in the floors look like the tile subway of New York where I was once shot. I was so excited to get into this ben and jerrys, but unfortunately its not quite what I expected. The area wasn't set up at all a d looked pretty dirty (unswept, dusty, crumbs everywhere ect.) I probably won't go again even though I live a walking distance away. 10 dollars for two average icecream cones is not worth it here. read more

one of the dirtiest Ben & Jerry's I've ever been in. The floors were dirty and sticky. The tables and the benches have not been wiped down. The employees weren't wearing gloves or aprons, and we're just standing around. The place did not look clean. The ice cream is good, but given the overall hygiene of the place, I found myself wondering how clean where the serving utensils and food preparation space. I would not go back. read more

This was the closest ice-cream joint in the area and I had heard good things about it so I decided to pop in. They have the same flavors as they would at any other location. The grounds are pretty huge and it's a good place for families. They are following strict COVID guidelines, which is great. The inside is really fun and nicely decorated and great for pictures. Not the cleanest Ben and Jerry's on the planet and has a limited selection of flavors. They close at 8 most nights and another 30m would have gotten them a lot of extra business most warm nights. I am happy they were here, but compared to JP Licks back home, this shop had nothing that blew us away. read more

Ice cream is great. The place is dirty, they allow people inside with no masks, not sign asking for masks, zero social distances. Annoyingly slow service at this ice cream shop. There is no responsible adult running the show here and if it wasn't Ben & Jerry's, there would be no reason to go here. Went in last night with a big group and the three employees working there really could not give a care about anything. We waited 15 minutes and didn't move at all in line. Everyone in line was super annoyed. We finally gave up and went to Lickety Splits down the street....a make your own sundae ice cream shop. They had a long line too but we zipped through and it was delicious. I would have given them one star if they weren't serving B&Js! read more

north conway and Ben and Jerry's are such an iconic duo and something I always look forward to doing in the summer but this location needs a major face lift. everytime i go the deck is littered with trash and it only gets worse as you enter. it looks like the floors hasn't been scraped and scrubbed since 3 seasons ago. mostly everything could use a fresh coat of paint. the ice cream is always good, but that's a given. really kills the excitement of being there when you take a look around and can't wait to leave. read more

The spot is adorable and always clean. The owner takes pride in his business and the kids that work there are always friendly and genuinely care about making customers happy. We were very excited to try our first Ben & Jerry's scoop shop while on vacation in New Hampshire this week, but were severely disappointed by the horrendous customer service we received at the shop in North Conway, NH on Thursday, June 25th around 4pm. The 2.5 stars rating on Yelp should have warned us away. 1) The shop showed evidence of chronic issues, with the brownies we had in our three brownie sundaes all being extremely stale and the drink cooler being absolutely empty. 2) Employees showed they were unfamiliar with the menu when we attempted to order the 'Neapolitan Dynamite' flavor combo advertised in their own window and were rudely told 'We don't have anything like that.' 3) There was no system being used by the three employees (two young women and one young man) to keep track of customer orders which led to multiple order and billing mistakes in just the roughly 15 minutes we were in the shop: a) Two of our three orders were made incorrectly, with toppings on sundaes we'd ordered with no toppings. b) They attempted to only charge us for two of our three orders, requiring customer correction to get it right. c) Another customer in the store had one of our brownie sundaes inaccurately added to her bill, and the male employee was quite rude and dismissive when she first question the total. Only after she returned to the counter to confront him about it for a second time did he admit the error, saying 'There were so many sundaes being made back here I just assumed one was for you.' He offered her no apology. d) A male customer ordered and paid for a large cone with one of the female employees. The male employee then tried to make him pay a second time, and expressed derision and rude doubt when the customer protested that he'd paid already. 4) During a slow period the three employees could be clearly heard by customers discussing their belief that the batch of strawberry ice cream was bad, with a strange pink film across the top and appearing to be poorly mixed underneath. As we had ordered the strawberry and were currently discussing at our table our disappointment in it, we spoke up to ask them if something was wrong with it. Caught by customers talking poorly about the product on the sales floor, they lied and said they'd only been discussing the picture on the lid. 5) The 'strawberry' ice cream we received was so poorly mixed that it contained almost zero chunks of strawberry and had almost no flavor. At first we actually thought they'd gotten the order mixed up and given us a scoop of vanilla, the flavor was so bland. During the point 4 discussion of the possibly poorly mixed ice cream, I stated that it "was the least 'strawberry' strawberry ice cream" I'd ever had. One of the women very condescendingly replied that no, it was probably just the most natural strawberry I'd had because you don't use artificial dyes, the implication being that I just can't recognize high quality when I taste it. When a customer is politely and calmly bringing a problem to your attention, the response should never be to tell the customer how they're wrong and not even attempt to offer a resolution. 6) At the end of our intensly disappointing visit, one member of our party went up to ask for a Comment Card. He was simply told there was none; they made no attempt to ask about his issues and resolve them on the spot, nor did they offer us an alternative way to provide feedback like suggesting this webform. He then asked for at least the store number so we could accurately report the problem, and they happily jotted down and handed him the phone number. We are a group of three adults who consider ourselves 'foodies' and we were all profoundly disappointed in our experiences that afternoon. It was the only time on the whole trip that we received such treatment, and the fact that it was attached to such an upstanding brand as Ben & Jerry's was shocking. Between stale brownies, poor quality ice cream, and toppings we didn't want we ended up leaving with more than 50% or our orders uneaten. We felt that this feedback is sorely needed by that scoop shop location. read more

Ben & Jerry's is my favorite place to go with my friends and family. Customer service is amazing and I always feel welcome when I go. Being a local they give you discount key chains which makes the experience even better. So many good options even for dairy free and vegan customers. They are all very eager to ask how I am and to help make the experience better. If I could give this place more stars I would. So excited they are open again this summer!! read more

I am not an ice cream eater but family is. We went here and the new owner served us. He offered us many samples before we decided. He was very friendly and the ice cream, well it B&J its the best. Expensive though but once in a while worth it. Place is fairly clean but bathroom could use some attention. The new owner is making improvements so sure its coming. read more

I go here all the time since I stay in NH in the summers. The staff is friendly and handle large lines like professionals. I have seen some major long line disasters at other Ben & Jerry's, but never have had an issue here. Would recommend stopping in without hesitation. read more

The perfect spot for a cool treat!! In addition to the high quality of ice cream, the shop is in the perfect spot. The kids love watching the trains depart from the station across the street, and there is plenty of seating outside on the deck, or inside in the cool AC.
