I love Ben & Jerrys and this was a nice one for sure. Just on vacation I prefer local homemade places but with nothing open in the area we took our son hee. This place was ridiculously good. Super soft and tasty ice cream and the staff was really kind and helpful! We got the small which is 3 scoops () so we could have three different flavors! They also gave us some samples since we had only had the freezer pints. The fun cones were messy but a great addition- definitely recommend stopping in! read more

the ice cream is good, but really over priced for what you get. ordered the brownie sundae and it came in a cup with 1/2 a scoop of ice cream and whip cream. for over $10 this is super disappointing. The cup is small, the scoop is small, and there is like a quarter of an empty cup. read more

This review is coming from the bottom of my heart. I walked into Ben & Jerry's to get a sample of ice cream for my mom and this one worker upset me very much. He decided to judge me and my friends for getting a sample and kept questioning me even when I said it was for my mom for the 10th time. It really upset me and this is why I'm leaving this review, I really think that this young kid should get his act together and stop being rude to customers especially when doing kind acts for their mother. He eventually did come around and give me the sample, but it took a lot of effort. read more

Fully stocked this time, whipped cream was DELICIOUS, cones were fresh and the scooper was incredibly friendly and took time letting us sample and decide. She also didn't look at me like I was crazy when I asked for my ice cream stacked in a specific order. Overall a great experience and will be back to try even more flavors. read more

You guys suck!!! I show up at 7:50 with my 2 kids... And all the cones were put in some weird plastic Tupperware bin... was told they couldn't be taken out!!! I repeatedly asked and was rejected!!! We eat ice cream in a cone!!! So Because she put the cones away ahead of time... customers suffer!! We should of went to the local ice cream shop where the cone police we not on staff!! I always love some Ben & Jerrys so of course I was excited to hear that they were opening up a store on the Shoreline. The space is beautiful, big & bright. Though they've only been open for a week it seems they have everything figured out and operating smoothly. I believe that a good ice cream desert is comprised of two things: the cone, and the ice cream. Now B&J's has their ice cream making down to a science. It's thick and generally good tasting ice cream. It's nothing too special, but you know what you're getting and you like it. Their cone leaves a lot to be desired. I got the chocolate coated rainbow sprinkled waffle cone. It was big, and thats about all it's got going for it. I noticed the bottom part was a bit weak under the cone sleeve, and realized that the bottom half wasn't even connected and had collapsed upon itself. In general, the cone was a big soggy mess with some old chocolate and sprinkles added. In order to take a bite, I had to rip a piece of the cone off. That's not something I look for when eating a good ice cream come. The last bit that bothered me was the price. It was too high for the quality food I was given. B&J's has got to get their cone situation under control!! read more

Came in tonight. Line out the door. I remembered the employee from last time because she was very friendly and went above and beyond helping myself and a man who had come in for a cake. Some how she killed it again BY HER SELF with never ending line.Still friendly and did the best one person alone could do. She is great but an ice cream place should know better than having only ONE employee during a Saturday night. The employee working = 10 stars, whomever made her work alone and no back up = 1 star. Please schedule someone to help this girl, it's terrible for her to deal with this and no matter how great she is, it still affects customers, one person is not enough!?!? read more

I was in the mood for ice cream and decided to stop into Ben and Jerry's in Old Saybrook. It was quite busy and while I was deciding on a flavor I noticed that the employee was trying to wait on customers and clean at the same time. It appeared that she was using a rag to clean. Using the same rag in between customers doesn't seem sanitary. I was very surprised to see this given COVID regulations. I also did not see lines on the floor to comply with social distancing. Does Ben and Jerry's have any regard for the safety of their customers or their employees? I will take my business to Dairy Queen or Fenwick's next time. read more
