I have been a patient of Dr. Kermani since 2021, and the very first appointment I had with Dr. Kermani went great. I was happy with his attentiveness and promptness; however, that was very short-lived. I felt the first appointment was to reel in new patients with excellent service, then it immediately changed for the worse. A few months later, when my prescription needed to be refilled, my pharmacy contacted their office, and was informed that they can't fill my prescription for no particular reason, it was simply malicious and careless. My prescription is for Losartan by the way, pertinent for my health and well-being. I contacted the office, set up a telehealth appointment, which was confirmed by the office. When it came to my appointment time, I waited for hours for the doctor, with no call at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the following day, I received a voicemail from a female staff member, stating that I am not allowed to make appointments online since I had that prior conversation with a staff member regarding my mistreatment at the office, and that if I want to get my medication and speak with the doctor, I need to go to the office in person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So it became very apparent that the negligence by this doctor and his staff was intentional, petty, malicious and vindictive and warrants a lawsuit. It can be a struggle to get an appointment scheduled with a Las Vegas primary care physician (PCP). Waits are long and many doctors aren't even accepting new patients. One reason for this is that there is a shortage of physicians. During our search we came across Dr. Kermani's office which was in a favorable proximity to our home. We used the online reservation system to schedule a date and were thrilled to get an appointment the next day! We were greeted by the front office staff and treated on time in an extremely friendly and competent manner. PA Marv Mangalino was thorough and clear in his in-depth review of our medical history. We give a lot of respect to PA's & NP's. He spend a good amount of time with us. We got everything including comprehensive lab work ups, X-rays, prescriptions and referrals all in one visit, FANTASTIC! Everything was done much quicker than expected. The office is facing the i15 freeway with lots of free parking. They have a beautiful office setting and exam rooms that sends a message to everyone who enters that they deeply care about the way they present their practice to their clients. The office staff is the worst. I've been going back and forth with them since June and it's now August 11th just to get them to submit a prior authorization for a continuous glucose monitor for my mom. He claimed her insurance wouldn't pay for it so I contacted the insurance and they stated that was incorrect. All they have to do is submit the authorization request but they refuse to do it. They never answer their phones, return emails or respond to their messages on the website. I have to physically go into their office every time she needs a referral and take it to the specialist because they'll never do it. He delayed her surgery because he didn't sign off on her paperwork. He has worked my mom up for the most random things like lupus when she had an allergic reaction to a new medication. I have tried to call this office well over 20 times (once every day or two) and it is impossible to get through. The one time I got through that particular staff member was impatient, gave me a quick confusing response that didn't help me at all, and put the phone down. Keep in mind that I'm a patient. I left a couple of phone messages that are meant to be returned within 24 hours. Nothing, I sent several messages on the patient portal that are meant to be returned within 48 hours. Nothing. i have been a patient of Dr. Kermani for several years. while i love and appreciate the Dr., the office itself has had YEARS of phone issues, not responding to messages, emails, etc. myself and other patients would literally have to go to the office just to speak to someone, which is what i had to do to find out why i received a letter about not being responsive to wanting bloodwork for a NON-current issue? i explain i cannot get bloodwork that requires fasting because i have to work every day, dont have time off AND cant get time off, but also that i will be starting a new job which is a 6 week training program so i cant get to the lab until mid-december. - i explained this TWICE to the front desk and back office, yet the office mgr send me a medical discharge because i am uncooperative? - thats how you treat patients who need to work?!?! absolutely no consideration for the patient. seems a bit unethical, especially given the health condition. - i should have found a new dr when you wouldnt return phone calls.... read more

I have been with Dr Kermani for over a decade. He is an amazing Dr who takes his time to really get to the bottom of your issues. I couldn't get in to a gynecologist until next year and he made one phone call and got me in. He loves all his patients and goes above to make sure he gives the best care possible. Dr.Kermani is a good Doctor unfortunately, the office cannot seem to get it right. Referrals are done and not followed up on, ie no records to referring doctors office. Routine meds are not filled past 1 month something I've never seen . You are constantly being referred to specialists when you've already been diagnosed within the past year. I've had a gastric bypass and I am required to take certain supplements or the rest of my life , which have been refused to be called into my pharmacy. The phones have been serviced many times and you still cannot get through to the office . I am now going through serious health issues and I'm being given the run around very sad!! Dr. Kermani, If you can read this, you need to know your staff is highly corrupt and needs to be replaced. They are rude and have no compassion towards your patients. They are masters of deception and deflection. All they like to do is eat like pigs and smoke cigarettes while gossiping about your patients outside your office, especially the pig receptionist. They are no better than thieves stealing your salary. The longer you keep them on staff, the more damaging it is to your image and practice. I went to Dr.Kermani for my foot because he was the primary Dr on my medicaid. I had a virtual appointment which lasted about 5 minutes it felt very rushed and cold. Then I get a call from my pharmacy saying I have 3 prescriptions to pick up. Which I was unaware of. When I went in to see what they were, the pharmacist said 1 was to help the swelling and the other 2 were to help with the side effects caused by the first medicine. What a joke. So I never even picked up the meds because I do not need to be putting 3 different meds into my body for a small foot swelling. Then, I needed paper work filled out by the Dr that was time sensitive and the receptionist had the nerve to tell me that I would have to have another appointment which they didn't have one for another 2 weeks and then it would take 10 days for me to get the paper back. Are you serious?! Needless to say I switched my primary care doctor to a doctor that actually cares about my health care and not milking my insurance for any money they can get. Dr. Kermani really needs to ensure he has well equipped staff to run a better practice. His staff is unqualified and unprofessional and I've had several issues here and enough is enough. I'm changing my Doctor after this last issue. From being given another patients ID card and DL by mistake, to not being called back when requesting an appointment in a timely manner, to chasing them down multiple times for over a week to get the detailed information of where to go for bloodwork and other referrals to now having them send over prescription medication to my pharmacy without even going over test results with me. What ethical doctor does this? This is just a terrible practice. I had blood work done over a week a go and suddenly today I get an automated text from my pharmacy saying my prescription is ready for pick up... With the pandemic, sale of our home, packing, new environment, it was just too much for my wife. She had an onset of panic disorder. From the internet, we mistakenly selected this doctor. He prescribed medication that turned my wife into her worst nightmares. Very poor reaction. But all this doctor could do was to recommend I take my wife to the emergency room. He saw my wife's violent shaking conditions via FaceTime. Yet. He never cared to call back to ask how is my wife doing. No compassion from a human being. Let alone a medical doctor. My wife was placed on "forced holding" by a behavioral hospital and we were separated for nine long days. I was not able to visit my wife at all. Very scary situation. Yet when I called this doctor's office to let him know my wife's condition, the receptionist hung up my call. They could care less! Then I get an automatic reminder for our next appointment, which I ignored. The next day, the computer sent me a reminder for me to pay $40 of office visit in advance. Let me give you a scenario. If I see my neighbor in a difficult situation. A few days later I might go and just seek out how he/she is doing. Just a common courtesy. As a good gesture from one human being to another. But no. This place is a joke. After going to him for the past 6 months over 6 visits they are now saying he dismissed me. I need blood work done and they are saying I've been dismissed I can't schedule an appointment. But my insurance clearly says he's my primary care doctor. Maybe because I'm black? The new receptionist kept putting me on hold and told me she would call me back next day and never did. I went up there myself and asked her about it she said she forgot and they would let me know once they find out. I don't understand how I got dismissed from a "DOCTOR". I went to Dr. Kermani over 6 times. I've had pain on my left rib and back left side. He basically did nothing to help me each visit and then dismissed me all because I left an honest review saying he never remember who I am and he always forgets what my health concerns were at each appointment. I received a letter and an email saying I was dismissed. All I wanted was the proper medical care that other races get. I went in with my boyfriend and he didn't even listen to what was going on with him and criticized him for the littlest thing, then when he was done criticizing told us to.go wait in the waiting room and we thought we'd have time to talk with him again but he ran right out the door. I would not recommend this Dr to anyone! We made an appt for my 81 year old father who needed to switch primary Drs because his former Dr no longer took his insurance. On appt day they wouldn't see him because this Dr was not listed on his insurance card even though the insurance company had him listed on their end. After countless calls to the insurance company and to the Dr, the office staff was not even trying to solve the problem. Today we stopped by to show them the insurance card we received in the mail last week with Dr Kermani listed as the primary Dr and we were told it didn't matter as it was not listed on their computer, I asked if they would call the insurance company and we were told it was our responsibility. As soon as we got home we called another Dr and were able to make an appt and were told we don't need to have them listed as primary Dr on insurance card at time of appt. Unlike Dr Kermani's office they were very nice and helpful. This back and Forth with Dr Kermani's office has been going on for over three weeks. Glad we were able to find another Dr and that we won't have to deal with Dr Kermani's office. The staff sure didn't impress me, dealing with insurance companies is part of their job. If they can't do that it makes me wonder what they do in other situation such as getting refills of medicine promptly. read more

Forget getting prescriptions refilled without a required doctor visit so they can get $. I had 3 months of prescriptions left and merely wanted to switch to a mail order pharmacy to save money and was told 26 days later (11 days after I stopped by the office to check the status and was assured it would be handled) that I would need to come in for another visit first. I've only seen Dr.Kermani couple of times & I have not seen Dr.Kermani almost 2yrs now but all of sudden I get a phone call from my pharmacy that my prescription's ready & was told Dr.Kermani's office sent it... it was not easy to get hold of someone from Dr. Kermani's office to find out what the prescription is all about but finally got hold of someone but she acted like it was no big deal that I almost filled medication that was sent by mistake. I found Dr. Ben to be thoughtful, caring, actually listened to what I was saying, and even cracked a smile and joked around, which is, in my experience, rare amongst Dr.s. Albeit it was my first visit to his office, I found it to be a refreshing visit as compared to other Dr.s I've been to. The office guy wasn't the friendlest, but really, I am not there to see him, I was there to see the doc. Though I did notice that once a patient is released the office guy goes over everything, not too in-depth but still, at the front desk in full ear shot of anyone sitting there. I heard each patients being discharged, business and I didn't like that or how the office guy talked to other patients and me for that matter. With my check out he just pretty much said here's your paperwork, labs are fasting. Ok, usually there's a bit more info than that but eh at least he didn't put my personal info in front of a lobby of patients. The nurse acted the same way Dr. Ben did. Once in the room she smiled and listened to everything I said asking poignant questions and very importantly, acted as if she was happy to be seeing me this day. This doctor was absolutely the worst internist I have ever been to. His office lacked warmness and had the sparseness of a veterinary office. The doctor told me that one of the drugs I have been taking for years, he disagreed with so much that he stated twice that in his opinion that those doctors that had been prescribing it to me should be lined up and shot. This careless statement said twice has actually given me terrible frightening nightmares. All I could see in my reoccurring dream are white coated doctors, old and young with looks of dismay on their faces gripping their chests where a growing blood stain started and grew into a gushing wound coming from the center of their chests. He is of foreign nationality and perhaps this image is common for his mind. But, in my opinion this lacks understanding of his patients minds. He was extremely rude. Wow. I scheduled an appointment for 3 pm on May 21st, and when I show up, the doors are locked. I didn't get to see the notice on the door, but the nurse came out and told me, "oh we called everyone:" Well if so no message was left when they called. Ok things happen, maybe he had an emergency. The nurse told me to call, and they will reschedule me. I called the following morning and left a voicemail on their box that says they will return the call within four business hours; however, the return call did not come until two days later. The icing on the cake is the person that called asked if I came in for a doctor note? No, I was coming in for my follow up because the doctor declined my medication refill until he had a chance to see me again, and I was going to have my yearly FMLA papers updated. The caller then told me that they were just informed a week earlier that they would no longer take United Healthcare so the doctor could no longer see me. My insurance page still has Dr. Kermani listed, and his page even says it takes United Healthcare, so I am confused. I have been coming to this doctor for over 20 years (trust me that is a long time when you are in your early 40s) and now I have no medication and no doctor and all with no warning. A call a few weeks ago when the appointment was made would have stopped most (not all) of this frustration. read more

I'm giving Dr. Kermani 5 stars because he, as a doctor, has and will always completely deserve them all. I agree with the other reviewers that his office has been filled with truly horrendous people the past few years, but I recently (a few days ago) had a visit for the first time in over a year and was pleasantly surprised. He has updated to an electronic system, and it looks like the office staff has gotten an upgrade along with the change. I called and left a voicemail about making an appointment late on Friday (fully expecting no return call due to previous experiences) and got a return call and same-day appointment the following Monday. His nurse was great, and the girls up front expedited things pretty quickly. Regardless of the issues I've had with his staff in the past, Dr. Kermani has been a wonderful and trustworthy doctor for my grandmother, my mother, and I, and I even went to his wife as a child for pediatric dentistry. My child is about to start going to her too. I care about knowing that my doctor is not only a trustworthy source of health information but also a genuinely good man. Dr. Kermani has always fit that bill. He is always going above and beyond, being there for his patients.
