They were crazy busy with both a lot of business and moving to a new location but Tali made time for me. I didn't know what I wanted, just the general color. I visited to see what they had, Tali walked me out to the slab yard to show me what she had in mind for me and said "I think you'll really like this one." She was right on the very first try with super white quartzite. She also showed me a marble that I loved but opted for the quartzite. I'm glad I didn't let her show me more because I still wonder about that marble because it was beautiful. They took only two weeks to cut it amidst the move. It was only cuts and no fabrication so don't have that expectation on turnaround. I opted to do my own pickup in a small hatchback that just barely fit the slabs. A gentle giant man loaded them into my car like he was tucking in a newborn baby. Easy. Done. Great deal. Beautiful stone. It took two of us to unload them. I have no idea how that guy got them in there and he made it look easy. I hope to do business with them again in the future. My only regret is spending time calling other places... and not buying that marble in addition to the quartzite even though I don't have a place to put it. Thanks, Tali! Buyer beware. I recently purchased kitchen countertops from Benattar and had a very poor experience working with them. They made two major mistakes in the implementation - no acknowledgement of their errors, no apology or any semblance of customer service attitude towards me whatsoever. They came back to correct one of them, and then gave me conflicting information as to whether or not one of the mistakes could even be corrected. So I was prepared to live with a very visible flaw, until they sent someone over who did in fact correct it. The project was clearly mismanaged. The whole experience of working with them over several months was super stressful and negative. I would NOT recommend working with this business for any project. read more

I love Benattar. The service, communication, timeliness and pricing were everything I expected. And they even went beyond, and took care of needs I wasn't sure about and gave me the confidence that I had chosen the right team for the job. The front-office (comprising Tali and Audey) were so communicative that it was a joy to do business with them. Whenever one embarks on remodeling a kitchen there is quite a lot of trepidation. I have never done this before. Who do I go to? Are they going to give me "San Francisco" prices? Am I going to get squeezed? Are they going to show up on time? And will the place look great? Looking back, all my "project start-up fears" were totally misplaced. Benattar was absolutely terrific. I cannot recommend them more. In fact if you have a kitchen to remodel, it may be irresponsible on your part to not have them be on the list of people you get a quote from! :) read more

I just had quartz installed in a small bathroom renovation. It is on the top floor of an old Edwardian house. They carried the slabs up the outside stairs & did a perfect job installing them in what will be a beautiful shower. Their price was reasonable, Tali & Audey were very professional & I couldn't recommend them more highly. Tali spent quite a bit of time with me showing me various slabs with different designs from several companies. As a designer, I am picky & very much know what I like & don't like. Tali Benattar was referred to us by the Silestone company showroom, and we were very happy with the results. We used 12mm SIlestone slabs for our kitchen countertop, island countertop and pantry. The results were excellent with good matching of the patterns between different slabs. They even came out to do the installation on Sunday in order to fit our schedule. Their price was better than the sub our contractor recommended, and the quality of their work was better than that sub, who we used for bathroom slabs. Making an early 90s townhouse pretty isn't easy. Sure my future townhouse was on very good condition, but it was dated and not in a cool retro way. Apparently old was the theme back then. There were two things that was on my list of must go asap. Carpet and tiled countertop. As a designer in the architectural field, I could never understand why the tiled countertop was invented cause they are a bitch to clean. But here it was staring me in the face, laughing, taunting. Benattar rescued my kitchen. Their business hours aren't really convenient for those who work M-F but we were able to take some time and make our way to their shop. They have a wide range of materials. Every type of granite color and pattern you can think of ranging from $9 to $100 per sf. They even carry quartz such as Cesarstone and Silestone. Patricia was really helpful in helping us figure out what would work best in our space with our given budget. They even gave us 2 12x12 sample pieces to take home so we could see what worked best in our kitchen. When it came time for demo and measure, the crew was super quick, clean, and knowledgable. Patricia quoted that it would take about a 1-2 weeks for the slab to be ready for install but to my surprise, I got a call 2 days after the demo saying that they could install it that day if we were available. Our kitchen countertop purchase and install process went smoothly with the exception of a minor hiccup because I didn't think any of their sinks would fit in the space I had. There were a few missed calls but at the end, the sink went in fine. read more

Dealing with this company has been an exhausting exercise in futility and frustration. My contractor hired these guys to come out to my house to install my counter tops and kitchen island. When they finished, they sealed it to protect the stone. BUT, whatever they used left horrible streaks on the marble like the kind you would see on a poorly cleaned window. Unlike window streaks though, these streaks cannot be cleaned off by any conventional means! Now my kitchen island looks permanently dirty! So I call them - I speak to Michelle, the receptionist, Adrian, who handles scheduling, and even to Maxim, the big boss. But I might as well have been speaking to my marble counter top for all the good it did me. In the FOUR WEEKS that I have been continually reaching out to them, they have never called me back once. These people will leave you hanging, hanging for weeks; When you call, they will tell you that it's a busy week, or that someone else is in charge, or that someone is on vacation or that they are waiting on some special item to come before they can fix the damages they caused. They will tell you anything and everything EXCEPT for when they can come to your house. If you are considering this company, please consider otherwise. Their false promise of professionalism and integrity will only frustrate you in the long run. read more

I decided I wanted to have a dark granite or quartzite countertop. I contacted Benattar Marble & Granite and Tali sent me photos of several slabs. When I went in person to their office I narrowed my choice to two slabs of granite and Tali had someone cut off pieces of both slabs for me to take home to review. Tali spent lots of time with me by telephone and email to answer my questions. When Sinead came to measure, he pointed out that square edges would look better with my cabinets than the bullnose edge that I had chosen, and he was right. (I also saved money by going with straight edges.) The service at Benattar was excellent and I highly recommend them. read more

This is my second project with Benattar and they keep saving the day! My first project 4 years ago: I called Moshe to re-do my powder room, as the original vendor was so flaky, I couldn't deal with. They were super fast and met my deadlines and the quality was amazing. I had a complicated "banjo-type counter" where the "banjo" radius had to mirror the radius of the sink. I had no trouble communicating my needs and getting exactly what I wanted. With this second project I didn't think twice: Benattar did my entire kitchen with center island and full backsplash, as well as and two bathroom counters. Beautiful work indeed! They even suggested and executed a super neat window sill made with the same stone! Dealing with Benattar has been the LOWEST point in our large home renovation!! This place is so unprofessional & untrustworthy that I can't believe they are still in business. We were working with a man in their office for 3 weeks trying to find the right slab and narrow down the stone we want. I had numerous written bids from him and they all fell within the range we were looking for. We finally decided on a stone and were going to close the deal. That day they informed us that the man no longer works there (very similar story to another bad review on yelp, sounds a little sketchy) and they cannot honor any formal written bids from him. He made mistakes...is what they had to say. The new bids they were quoting were $1,000's of dollars higher. If you have ever tried to get countertops installed you know that the lead time is very long. We now needed to find a new fabricator place, Benattar is keeping us from finishing our remodel and moving into our home that's how much dealing with them negatively affected us. Benattar is also not the cheapest as our new place gave us the same price as Benattar without any hassle or gimmicks. Basically NEVER work with these people!!! read more

The best price in town BUT you pay for what you get. BEWARE, this establishment has so many issues I'm not sure where to start. My initial interactions were good but through each stage their customer service declined rapidly. From the moment they came to my house to take the measurements I knew something was not right. On the date of installation, someone came to my house and began taking measurements again. I was confused since I thought the counters were supposed to be installed. I was informed that the previous guy who came out was no longer with the company and that his measurements were all wrong. Later that afternoon they came back to install. The job was horrible - nicks, scratches, uneven cutting, shims were used to raise counters up which was a huge issues because if you pressed down the counters literally moved up and down. After several calls to the office, I was repeatedly disrespected and yelled out and was told there was nothing wrong. A few days later they came back to better support part of the counters and I asked them to remove the peninsula because I wanted the stone replaced due to the nick and strange watermark/discolorations. I was told they would be back the following week to install new counters. I called the day before to confirm the installation and was told they have the material but they will need to reschedule. Called them back the next day to get a new installation date and was told by the owner Moshe that the material is under warranty so they are waiting for the sales rep to come look at it. He also proceeded to tell me that until that happened, they could not replace the counters. UNACCEPTABLE!! What kind of business are you running?????? We are now going on two weeks and still no word from Moshe or his staff. I hate leaving bad reviews but please please please do not waste your money and hire this company to take care of your remodel. We have since hired a new company who was able to finish our project in a timely manner. We took a $2,000 loss and had to start all over again but at least I have the peace of mind that the job was done correct!!! read more

STAY AWAY - save yourself a few years of your life and your nerves... Here is our experience in a nutshell. - purchased 20k worth of Stone -installer came on time to install stone (good up until this point)! -later realized that stone was not sealed (as noted by another granite company), and stains developed. Also asked Bennatar to use the rest of our marble that to fabricate a backsplash for our bathrooms. -three weeks and no one responds to us after multiple calls to the office. radio silence -finally, after someone picks up the phone and practically begging someone to come out, I take off from work, and the installer fails to show up to repair the stained countertops and install the backsplash. No call. nothing. -Fast forward two additional weeks of no response. Finally, I speak to someone and again, have to practically beg for someone to help us to finish the job. -The appointment is set up, installer arrives an hour late, leaves for lunch, arrives back on the job 3.5 hours later sick with the flu and coughing all over our house. He asks if he can leave at 6 pm because he is visibly ill, and leaves the countertop unsealed (which we did not know), -the next day we ask Bennatar to not have him not to return because this guy had the serious flu. We asked for another appointment for someone to finish the job (I know, I should have learned my lesson)... Guess what??? You guessed it! An appointment set up and NO ONE SHOWS UP! Two days later and here we are, a partially finished job, countertops unsealed, and absolutely not outreach. We are completely done with this business. Also filing a BBB complaint. It's amazing how nice and responsive they were before getting paid. Afterwards, no care or regard for anyone or anything. We have advised others looking for similar services to STAYH AWAY. We know many people renovating homes. It's a shame. Looks like everyone here had a similar experience Pathetic! read more

Thanks for the return phone call! Not. Jerks. I was looking for a remnant piece for a shower job and the guy on the phone was nice enough and told me to come on it. When I get there the very strange owner, to say the least, ambushes me when I walk in and interrogates me as if I have no right to be in there. It was very uncomfortable to say the least. The other guy offers to show me the remnants they have available and apologized profusely for the owners weirdness. I found a piece I liked, left them him the measurements and was told that I would get an email within a day or two with the bid. I also left my phone number. I never heard back from them which was not surprising. What a waste of time to drive out there. read more

I had them to fabricate two counter tops and edge materials for the bath. They did very nice job, especially the bath room counter top and edge materials. I was a next door neighbor and they were to take over my lease. Before they took it over they agreed to buy my forklift and pallet racks and we had a handshake deal. Thinking I could trust them to close on the deal, I turned down several offers to purchase my pallet racks. After I moved out, they said they were not going to buy the racks. It's the best price in town and the owners are very nice. The granite is amazing but unfortunately they measured my granite wrong and they had to move the faucet on the side. It looks amazing but it's not what I wanted. They would not replace it with another one. They did try to make a concession proposing to buy a smaller faucet for me that would fit in the center. A small one looked funky so it's on the side now... If you came into my kitchen you would say it looks amazing but you would never know that the off-set faucet still upsets me. read more
