Nonetheless, I pulled up to the garage, and Josh met me outside with an understanding smile and a handshake. Upon noticing that I had an army of babies with me, he immediately helped get us into the spacious waiting room! He showed the girls the huge play area, with crayons, toys, books....you name it, and my favorite....a beautiful family heirloom -- A mini wooden rocking chair!!!! Josh informed me that it has been in the family for over 60 years!!!! Being a parent, and having your children in a situation where they have to wait in really any public setting brings it's own level of stress! That all melted away the moment we step foot in there. Now, getting down to the business side of things. Unfortunately, it was my starter that had completely gone bad. Josh reassured me that they could get it fixed, and had the part there in 5 minutes. He was completely up front and honest with the pricing of the part (pricey little bugger....which I already knew). He gave every discount he could find, including the mine discount! He kept me up to date on the timing of when my vehicle would be on the road again. Every rack in that place was full, and all of the mechanics were working hard to free a rack up for my vehicle. Josh explained that they were doing the best they could, to which I replied that we had every amenity that we needed and would be just fine.... That in fact I'm sure my kids wouldn't want to leave and it would be a struggle to get them to out of there, which it was! It wasn't 15 minutes later that Josh came over with a video showing me my new starter in its full glory....It was music to my ears after having to jump start my vehicle in the cold for the last 2 weeks; hoping the whole component didn't fail all together! And as soon as the video finished, he pointed over my shoulder out the window behind me. I turn around, and there's my "Silver Smokey" waiting right out front for us!!!! I was speechless! Josh explained that a mechanic named Gibson had seen me with my girls and didn't wait for a rack! He climbed under my vehicle; laying on the snow and ice to install the new starter! Gibson brought my keys in, just covered in snow and ice! He didn't have to do that, but he had told Josh he didn't want me waiting with all of my kids! That is what really tugged at my heart strings! When you look out for my kids, you have my heart, as well as a lifelong loyal customer!!!! I mean, Josh had already set the bar for how he treats his customers, and you just can't beat it!!!! Vehicles may just be a hunk of metal to some, but my hunk of metal carries my most precious cargo, and when I feel I can trust a family owned and operated business to keep us running safely on the road, you got more than just my business....You have my respect and my absolute trust!!!! He gave it a short test drive with us, confirmed our concerns, and pulled it into the garage and upon raising it up, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem as a faulty tire that had basically warped/bloated and become uneven. The car was fixed that same day and at a reasonable price. Special shout out to Danielle, who bent over backwards to shuttle us to and from where we were staying. Being from out of town, it was so reassuring to know that we were treated the same as the locals and not taken advantage of, since we were in a bind. I took my vehicle in to get brakes done. A week later I was back to get a caliper replaced. I…read moreinitially chalked it up to the age of my car. A year later I was back to get brakes done again, they claimed to have gotten a bad batch of rotors. A year later I was back to get a caliper replaced, the same one that they supposedly replaced before. They tried to claim it wasn't anything they did or didn't do and stated they don't know where the parts come from or what quality they are. They did eventually agree to replace the bad caliper but said they would not do any more work on my vehicles. A couple weeks later, as I was driving down the interstate the caliper came loose. Thankfully the bolt that came out completely was the top and not the bottom, that saved me from having a wheel lock up. Chung Brothers recommended that I continue driving down the interstate and tried to avoid responsibility. They did pay for another shop to work on the brakes after I threatened to take them to court if they refused. I just did work on my front wheels and found additional things missing from the brakes that reduced the lifespan but thankfully were not critical to safety. DO NOT GO TO CHUNG BROTHERS. AVOID THEM LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT, IT MAY.

Then, for the last two weeks, Wombat and I got into a real toxic relationship with the onboard "good vibes" system. We went to Mercedes twice. Same story both times: a bunch of charging, a bunch of "we'll look into it," and absolutely no real solution--just money leaving the building at warp speed. So I convinced my hubby: "No more Mercedes." He agreed, and we went private. He found Quinn at European Performance. Quinn promised us a diagnostic on the DEF for free--which, naturally, my husband grabbed like it was a limited-edition coupon that might disappear. Mercedes in Billings wanted 2.5 times what everyone else was charging, so even the savings felt emotional. We pulled in, and before I could finish my seatbelt rant, Quinn had Wombat backed out and connected up. He ran diagnostics fast--like, "where did the time go?" fast. And here's the plot twist: the problem wasn't some rare unicorn issue. It was stuff that's extremely common on the Sprinter chassis... the kind that apparently no one can find or fix consistently. Fun, right? Quinn worked some magic, we got it sorted, and now Wombat is back to being the road-loving weirdo we know and love--no more drama, no more countdown, no more mystery warnings. So if your Sprinter chassis is throwing a fit go see Quinn. He'll get you back on the road without the repeat crash-and-paycycle. Wombat says thank you. And honestly? So do we.

Unfortunately, I have to say something because wow... I have taken my car in to these guys and they have done a good job fixing the things that I have paid for them to replace. However; here's the upsetting part... I took my car into them 3 times in a row telling them "it's running funny", "it's acting weird", etc. I also give them a little info... "while I was out of town I changed the spark plugs myself. You might want to start there, in case I did something wrong as I am not certified but they are. They assured me it wasn't the problem. They even said "It was driving fine, no issue." and to "keep driving it around until something popped up on the dashboard". Love that for me. Even told me that it "sounds" like and is "probably" a piston ring which would be a $8,000 fix. Went on a 1,000 mile (one way) road trip it almost gave out 35 miles before the destination. Thank you to new friends, I knew someone to help me. 15 minutes later... he SHOWED me that I, in fact, had forgotten to tighten my spark plugs. Also, thank you to my friends... even after pushing the car as much as I had... with a little bit of cleaning and proper putting it back together... compression test was perfect and she was running like normal. Beats $8,000 motor replacement... just saying.

They looked at our brakes right away and helped us buy the parts somewhere else in order expedite the process and the next day they changed out our trailer and truck brakes in a couple of hours.
