I stopped here for a drink, I've been here for brunch before and had a pretty good time (the mimosas were great). This was my first time dining indoors since covid, it was definitely crowded but management really made sure everyone was distanced as much as possible. This is a place where people are there to drink and have fun so if loud places aren't your thing, maybe think carefully about choosing to eat here. I really appreciated staff breaking up a larger group that began to congregate near my table, which made me feel they were taking things seriously. Benchmark is a great time. It is two stories and huge with multiple bars. The bartenders are a lot of fun too. I didn't have any food but the drinks were solid. The music was great and there wasn't a cover. This is a solid choice for a big group and there are a bunch of bars on the same street to hop around. read more

Came with a larger group for brunch on a Saturday. They had our tables reserved and helped us arrange them so we could all sit together. They were very accommodating. The mimosa kits were a big hit, served with a bottle of champagne and orange, mango and peach juices. The Bloody Mary was delicious as well. The brunch options are limited (only 4 options), but we enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, tots, and breakfast potatoes. Do wish the breakfast potatoes were a little more crispy. Unfortunately the only hot sauce they have is tobasco. The sweet potato fries were fresh and tasty, but serving with an aioli would've elevated them. The bbq chicken quesadillas were pretty good, but by the time they were served, the cheese was congealed and they weren't gooey and fresh. This could just be because we were a larger table and our food came out in waves. Overall a pretty positive experience. Would return for the mimosas and service itself. read more

This review is only for the late night hours, so no food review here. This place was so much fun! Two floors with a line to get to the second floor (I was glad they monitored the crowds here). Long lines formed outside during peak hours. The crowd was young - college to a few years out of college. Props to the DJ, this guy had some mad talent. He played 2000s-type hits to today's hits and it all blended perfectly. We couldn't stop dancing and even came back after checking out other bars because we enjoyed it so much. Stopped in for a late night bite on a weekday. It wasn't crowded and had a very chill laid back vibe. I used the QR code provided on the table to view the menu. There's an array of options vegetarian included. However, if you view the menu provided by the QR code you'll miss out on their drink menu. It's available to view via the engagement app that's accessible by rating the items on their menu. They offer a number of drink specialties including drink pitchers for the table. I didn't view this menu until the end of my meal so I didn't have the pleasure of ordering a drink. The food was enjoyable. The crispy Asian Brussel sprouts were superb. The right amount of crisp each bite was delicious. I ordered the Maui fish tacos. They weren't bad the fish could've been seasoned a bit more, but I still enjoyed them. The slaw they put on top complimented the fish well. Last but not least I had the bbq chicken quesadilla. It wasn't my favorite to put it nicely. The "bbq sauce " they used didn't not pair well with the chicken, cheese, or beans. The flavor of the sauce threw the rest of the ingredients off for me. Would not order again. There are other items on the menu I'd like to try such as the hot wings and a few of their Flatbread pizzas as well. The waitress was very attentive. I am disappointed that she never offered us a drink menu or suggested a drink. I asked what whiskey they had, and she named a few. I would've tried the whiskey mule. They also offer shot packages I thought that was pretty cool. So overall pretty chill spot. So this review is for happy hour on a Wednesday. It's actually not happy hour it's a Wednesday special to be more specific. $20 for a bottle of wine and a pizza. We chose Pinot Noir and prosciutto arugula pizza. Pizza was meh. Wouldn't order again. Wine was good, company was great and our bartender Gus was fantastic! He was entertaining and thoughtful to chat with. I didn't know the same restaurant company owns Benchmark, Fremont, Federales and others as well. I attended a birthday bash here on a Sunday during a Bears game. I loved that our reserved area was more of a "lounge" then a bunch of scrunched together tables - and the fact that all of the windows in the upstairs area open was a mega plus considering we had so many people in our group. Wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful with our endless questions (mostly pertaining to what was included with each wristband for the brunch/lunch buffet 12-3pm). I was a little disappointed that you can't order off of their main menu during the buffet hours since I'm a very picky vegetarian/mostly vegan - there weren't too many options for me, but I survived on their kale salad - less feta cheese, fruit and tater tots ;). However, I was sold on the endless mimosas and their mules are AMAZING!!! This establishment wasn't extremely packed, and there was very little wait for the buffet line (even with our 15+ group), but it was VERY LOUD. Multiple of TVs on different stations, screaming, and confetti poppers galore! Benchmark does offer valet parking for $12 - but it's poorly marked (FYI: it's the alleyway/lot BEFORE the building containing The Spice House and Benchmark when you are coming from North Avenue). Also, ladies - if you want a cleaner restroom, head upstairs, but if you want to avoid a line, there is a typical bar restroom in the basement. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and wouldn't mind stopping in again for another Sunday Funday. read more

This place deserves zero stars. My daughter went here with her boyfriend, who is in a wheelchair, along with her sister and a friend. They were told there was no wheelchair accessible seating so they were put in a strange sitting area and told they had to leave at a certain time because a party was coming in. Then, staff proceeded to enter the area 45 minutes before they were told they had to leave, to set up for the party. I've been searching for a new bottomless brunch place and I was pleasantly surprised by Benchmark! We were part of a relatively large group, but our server was the BEST. She was attentive and super nice, even when it was clear we were all very intoxicated. The food is pretty good, lots of different options. It is a buffet style, so if that's not your thing you might not love the brunch as much as I did. They also offer different types of juices to mix the champagne with. The only thing I didn't love was that upstairs, there's only one bathroom. So if it's busy and you're impatient, you'll have to walk down the stairs. I can imagine that this place gets super crowded, but we were there on a relatively slow Sunday so it was definitely worth it. read more

One being unlimited brunch for $30, and one being a package deal of unlimited mimosas and unlimited food for $50. Everyone is saying that it is $25 for brunch... so idk why mine was $30 on the day I went. Maybe because of March Madness. Honestly, I think these prices are pretty high for what they provided. The food wasn't that amazing, and yeah, it is unlimited, but it's not that great for that much. They offered shrimp and clams which is the most "fancy" things they have. Then they had a mini taco station, an omelette station, which is great because you pick what you want and then they cook it for you, and then a bunch of fruit, finger sandwiches, and some meats like brisket, sausage, and ham (honestly, not that amazing and pretty dry meats... at least when I went). They also have a dessert table and a donut wall. An annoying thing about brunch is that the lines were so long that by the time we actually brought our food back to our table upstairs, everything was pretty cold. We had an amazing waitress who was super attentive for such a large group of people. We had like 20 people taking turns sitting at our 10-person table because they didnt have a larger table, which wasn't their fault though because we didn't plan for such a large turnout. This is my type of brunch! For 50 bucks (30 all you eat & 20 bottomless mimosas) you get a pretty lit ambiance. Greats 90s music/pop-music playing. People dancing in their seats. Brunch buffet consist of a brisket carving board, Mac and cheese, veggies, fruit, omelet station, donut wall, array of desserts and more. The 2 hour table limit is definitely enough and you can hangout at the bar after if you like. The first time I went to Benchmark was for their Brunch which is now $30 but when I went it was $25 but the new price is not bad at all for all the quality food you get during brunch. Brunch is 10am to 3pm and they have a carving station(meats), smoked briskets, waffle bar, omelet station, donut wall, salads, oysters(not sure if they have it every week) desserts and a few other things I can't remember that was around the bar. They also have bottomless mimosa for an extra $20 dollars which isn't bad at all when you think about how many mimosa some people drink. They have someone coming around making sure your glass is never empty. I didn't get the mimosa when I was there but I watched as the other customers had a continuous flow of the bubbly orange stuff being filled in their glass. I have to find the pictures I took from that day. I went back when they had free burger Monday when you buy a drink and I wasn't as impressed I mean the burger was good but if what we got is the normal size of their Smash Burger then I will just go for Brunch because it wasn't much bigger than a White Castle Burger and that was disappointing especially since it would normally cost $14. If I pay that amount without the special both my hands better be able to go around that burger and the juices should be flowing down my hands. And from the moment I walked in the customer service was great and me and my party got so well taken care of, I personally asked to speak with a manager to praise the great visit and how I would for sure have this as a go to spot to both have events and go out. Came here for brunch on Saturday. You have two options for brunch which are a buffet for 25 and you can add on unlimited mimosas for 15. I optioned for the unlimited mimosas. I have read multiple reviews saying that their glass cups were never empty but I don't get to experience that since I had to ask the bartender to fill our cups a few times. But I do like the fact that you get to pour your own orange juice. The buffet style brunch had a lot to offer. There was an omelette station where the chief makes the omelette for you with whatever toppings you want. They also had shrimp, oysters, fresh fruit, a variety of meats, and even a dessert table. There was so many thing to choose from. The only thing I disliked was when I got there the food was already cold. I suggest either going to benchmark right when brunch starts or around 1230-1pm as that's the time more fresh food we're coming out. read more
