Overall Job Quality is acceptable but probably lower than average. They promise a white glove…read moreservice and don't deliver. Sales and Estimate:If you enjoy a 3.5 hour time sales pitch then have D&D give you an estimate. They initially said they needed 1 hour of our time, they came at 5:30 and left at 9p. They start with an estimate that is double most others, then work their way back hard selling the entire time. They claim all their workers are with the company - no contractors (lie #1), I specifically asked do they leave a cement mess in my landscaping: they claimed they have white glove service and no materials like rinsed cement etc are left on property (lie #2). Cancellation Process: After signing, we decided we signed under pressure and duress and needed more time. We asked about canceling and our request was ignored for 4 days, when they responded they said it had passed the cancellation period and that there was a $6,000 fee to cancel. The founder got on the phone after we escalated our argument. Stephen assured me he would make a special effort to "micro-manage the hell out of my project" and I would be extremely happy. I never saw or heard from him after that conversation. Project review: Pablo (nice guy and the only one that promptly responded when we had issues) came out to review the project, dimensions etc. Never saw or heard from Stephen the micro-manager during this process. Demo and base rock layer: (delayed 1 week because initial inspections failed.) Seemed to do an ok job of prepping the base layer. These contractors (not Deck and Drive employees) caused some sidewalk damage that was never repaired even after requesting D&D to repair and then saying they would. I expected any sprinkler plumbing near the driveway to be destroyed and it was, however I was told they would leave it exposed or marked where the remaining pipes were - I had to dig up the base layer to find and repair the plumbing. Never saw or heard from Stephen the micro-manager during this process. Install: Contractors (not D&D employees) did the install. They were nice and did an ok job, with the exception of not getting the dimensions correct as contracted and shown on plan. The second day when it looked like they were finishing, I asked them to measure and compare to the plan, they took the time to extend the width at that point to plan. The area between the sidewalk and street was never extended to meet the street, instead they put an asphalt patch to make up the 6-8 inch gap.The micro-manager might have caught this - if only he had stopped by. Overall the job was ok, better than the previous asphalt driveway but not as nice as I hoped for based on Stephen the micro-manager's promise. Btw, never saw or heard from Stephen the micro-manager during this process. Sealing: a couple weeks after the install someone came out and cleaned, resanded, and sealed the driveway. Meh, several gaps remained. Never saw or heard from Stephen the micro-manager during this process. Permits and Inspections: After a couple of weeks I noticed the inspections were not scheduled on the city website, I called D&D, their dedicated permitting office somehow missed this and scheduled the inspections, which failed the first time through. Never saw or heard from Stephen the micro-manager during this process. Customer Care and Followup: never ( I waited 3 months to post this review) heard from Deck & Drive to ask how it went. They simply never reached out to ask. They are focused solely on sales and not on customer satisfaction, it's like they could care less. I would be surprised if this company lasts much longer.

They started this project on November 22, 2025, and it is now the end of July 2026. Whether the project is technically still ongoing or they've decided they're finished is anyone's guess, considering an excavator has been sitting on the side of the road for MONTHS along with roadway/construction signs that apparently live here now. Either they're still not finished more than eight months later, or they finished and just decided to leave their equipment and signs behind until they feel like coming back for them. They did the sidewalks in our neighborhood and also repaved/repaired portions of the roadway, and the quality of the work is terrible. Multiple driveways now have dips at the ends that collect water instead of allowing it to drain properly. The attached photos were taken approximately FIVE HOURS after it rained, and water was still sitting in the driveways. So now, after a heavy Florida rain, apparently some of us get complimentary ponds at the end of our driveways. The roadway itself looks awful. There is tar/tack and buildup left all over the pavement from their equipment, making portions of the road look like they've been graffitied. It looks careless, sloppy, and unfinished. And the paving? Apparently straight lines were optional. The edges are uneven, the pavement is inconsistent, and driving over portions of it feels like you're touring the Rocky Mountains. For a company whose literal job is paving roads, I expected them to be able to pave a smooth surface and follow a straight line. Traffic control during the work was another issue entirely. There were times when there wasn't anyone properly directing traffic, leaving drivers to basically figure out for themselves which direction was moving and whether it was their turn to go. That's not just inconvenient--it's ridiculous when you're actively performing roadway work. Maybe county/city work just doesn't get the same level of care because the individual residents aren't the ones writing the check. Except we ARE paying for it. We may not be writing those checks directly, but it is still our tax money paying for this work. Residents should be able to expect competent workmanship and basic attention to detail when public money is paying the bill. Whatever the reason, the finished product--or whatever stage of "finished" this is supposed to be--speaks for itself, and thankfully I have photos. Poor workmanship, poor attention to detail, poor traffic management, drainage problems that weren't there before, equipment and construction signs left sitting for months, and a project that has been hanging around since November. If this is the finished product, it's unacceptable. If it isn't finished, more than eight months is ridiculous. Either way, the quality of the work speaks for itself. And if this is their idea of a good paving job, I'd hate to see what they consider a bad one.

OK I have to say this, this is rare to see a company in South Florida to be so organized and professional, despite some hiccups of homeowners not following common sense and written instructions on where to temporarily park their vehicles while work was phased in. I was truly surprised to see the how efficient and professionally the work was being done, in some cases they were way ahead of schedule. This all came together by the input and knowledge of their site supervisors and workers coming together like a Swiss Watch. I am not saying this because I do not know their business, but quite the opposite as an active Licensed Building Inspector and Licensed General contractor who actually signs off on the final inspection along with Engineering Department at various Municipalities and Private inspections that I do on a daily basis. Hats off to their on site supervisor/manager for being professional and patient with the homeowners who gave him a difficult time. I highly recommend this company for your next Paving Project. I recently had Paver Man redo our driveway, front entrance path, and walkway on the side of the…read morehouse. I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome! Before embarking on this project - which I'd contemplated doing for several years - I had researched a few other paving companies. The size, cost, and logistics of redoing such a large and busily trafficked area of my house was daunting. I simply didn't know where to begin. So I started right here at YELP (for the 2nd time in 3 years) to look at the candidates. Ultimately, what it came down to was not only the reviews, but actually meeting with owners and seeing examples of paving jobs completed. That is where Paver Man won the business hands-down. Other paving companies either didn't have access to high quality stones, or were too small a business to do the entire project A to Z, which entails removing the old pavers, laying down a proper foundation, fitting in the new pavers, and then power washing and sealing for the final result. Paver Man did it all, with a single point-man to interface with. Before we signed off on the job, the owner of Paver Man gave us three addresses of driveways they'd done, so we could see for ourselves the options for stones, layout design, and quality of work. I was actually amazed to see how much an exquisitely-executed driveway could add a palpable "WOW!" factor to the property! So we took the plunge and signed a contract. I was impressed with how efficiently the project was run from start to finish. Day one, the cheap, 1" cracked pavers that we'd bought our house with were removed. Day two, a proper foundation was laid. Day 3 the new, beautiful 2-inch shellstone pavers started to go in - with a very nice design! On top of which, we had to replace the aluminum track on our driveway gate. Paver Man coordinated the work needed with our gate guy to make that happen without us even playing "gatekeeper" between the two crews. I was really impressed with the results for our large driveway and the new walkway up to our front door. They replaced large stones set in grass that was hard to walk on with smooth pavers. So I asked if we could have the stones extended along the side of the house for continuity? No problem. The final result was brand new pavers in the driveway extending out to the street, the front walkway, and a path along the side of house. In just 5 days, the entire job was done. Paver Man also did the power washing and sealing of the stones, which really made the shellstone POP with detail. Even our neighbors are amazed at the transformation from tired old to elegant NEW look. Not only is the Paver Man staff extremely responsive - returning calls or texts almost immediately - but they worked seamlessly together to get me a quote with design comps, get the job done, and handle the billing without any hassles. Again, I was convinced I made the right decision hiring Paver Man to do my project. I am confident that these beautiful shellstone pavers will outlast me. Granted, I'm 71, but I'm thinking of decades of longevity for a one-time, week-long project with a dramatic outcome. Money well spent.
