He took the time to explain what was happening and my options for surgery. I'm one of those who definitely value professionalism over attempting to be my buddy when it comes to my medical needs, so his manner actually made me feel more relaxed. The day of the surgery, the surgery center at Premier was kind and efficient. The day after the center called to follow up on my recovery and went over my medications with me again. After surgery: the physical therapist said my swelling was minimal. Visually my stitches were neat and small, and there was almost no bruising. While I am not a doctor myself from my perspective it looked like it was done by someone who knew what they were doing and takes pride in their work. I was told the surgery went well, but only time and physical therapy will give me an idea of how well I'll recover. I can say the physical therapist was pretty happy with the mobility I retained so far and feels I should do well with regaining more mobility. I'll try to remember to up date as I finish recovery. As it stands now I would definitely recommend Dr Renfro for a surgery such as mine.

I later went to a podiatrist who also X-rayed it and he told me my ankle healed improperly and that's why I'm having such pain. Boo to you Dr. Wieck for not being truthful. You also told my bf his leg wasn't broken and told him to walk and offered no pain medication. On his last visit and X-ray, you told us that indeed, his leg was broken. Once I realized my knee wasn't right, Dr Mayfield waisted no time in evaluating the injury and discussing my treatment options. This included surgery. We discussed the options for where to perform the surgery, and decided on the surgery center. It was one of the best decision we made. The intake process was quick and painless. The staff made us comfortable, and within minutes we were in the OR. Despite what Dr Mayfield described as a challenging procedure, we were in and out within a few hours. Overall, no one wants to have surgery, Dr Mayfield and his staff made this a truly painless experience.
