I was sent to Benchmark Physical Therapy by my Doctor for lower back pain. I tell you upon arriving I felt completely at ease. The therapists were all so friendly and professional. They reassured me that I would see changes in my pain level (was 11 when I arrived) when my time was complete. They also, educated me about pain, muscles and movement. When I completed my time, my pain level was at a .50 status, big change from when I started. It is amazing that what you don't know can actually hurt you. My review is only connected to the financial system with benchmark. I received one bill after I quit going to the physical therapy. I contacted them and was told my insurance had not yet been applied to the bill. I then told them I was going to wait until the insurance was applied to find out my part out-of-pocket. I heard no more from them. I received no more bills, now here it is a year later and my account with them has been sent to collections. Not only that but what they originally said I owed has doubled, and yet they never filed the insurance. I'm no longer with that insurance company that I was with at the time therefore is going to cost more time and effort to get that insurance to pay their part. So I'm having to pay double what I owed collections because Benchmark did not do their part. they never even sent me another bill or contacted me. They just sent me into collections. read more

I had the pleasure of attending the Hudson Bridge location in Stockbridge. I was thoroughly impressed with the experience and knowledge of the young ladies in this facility. Horrible!!! The VA sent me here. They have a cookie cutter plan for every patient. When it was time to send the necessary paperwork to the VA, they claim they sent it. The VA never received it. I (the disabled veteran patient) went to the office to retrieve the paperwork but they wouldn't give it to me. These people are scammers. Also, don't let Dr Rodrigo at the Carter Rd, Buford, GA location do dry needling on you. The first time he did it, he failed to wipe the sticking point with an alcohol pad. I went to the Beaver Ruin location for about 6 weeks. My PT was Lucy and she was amazing. She was polite, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The other PTs at this location also appeared to be the same. I would go there again (and I'd probably ask for Lucy!). read more

First let me say, all I had was a strained trap muscle. I was told at the first visit that i would never pay more than $20. Then the second visit they said, of we said that wrong, the co-ins payment would be $10-$20 because they want at least 10% at each visit and each visit would run ME about $100. They knew my insurance was not going to pay any of it and they said they would bill them anyway and send me the bill for the remaining portion. I went 3 times, paid $20 each time, i assumed my bill would be about $240, since i only went 3 times. They billed my insurance for $1281.00..... For 3 visits???? I got a bill for $184.56. I said, okay i figured around $240, so i paid that immediately. 3 weeks later i got another bill for $329.58...... So now instead of the $300 for 3 visits - now mind you, most of the visit you are on a bike or pulling a stretchy band or using a STINKY B.O. hand towel to do exercises by yourself!!!! - My total 3 visits are going to cost ME $554.14. So thats $254.14 MORE (so far) than they told me. Looking at the bill, my first visit was $561 to answer questions, do a couple of exercises and the PT to work a knot out of my neck. The next 2 visits were $360.00 each! The last time i had PT somewhere else it cost me $60 each time i walked in the door, they did more than these people did on my first visit alone and i never got another bill. I will never step foot in a BenchMark again and i will tell everyone i know of my experience. read more

Would definitely not recommend. The quality of care was poor. No real evaluation and on the second visit therapist openly played games on his computer the whole time I was there. When I said I was in pain he simply told me to stop that exercise and start another. When I called to cancel rest of my appointments and said why, no one contacted me. read more

I was sent to the Old Pendergrass Rd location. Not only did I see zero improvement, I think my therapist actually caused more damage. she was so wrapped up talking football and what food they would have at their meeting, she wasn't actually working with me. She would show me a stretch or exercise then walk off to talk with her o-workers or another patient only to come back to tell me I was pulling with the wrong muscle which would have been nice to know 30 reps ago. Or she wouldn't comeback I'd go to her and tell her I'd done 30: 50 or how many reps I'd done . she didn't care or know if I'd been doing them correctly. I sure didn't know. When she saw I was getting worse not better after a few visits she suggested I just go get the shots. Really? I'm not using her name because I'm not trying to get her in trouble, just make them aware that we go to them for help, not to kill time. Focus on your patient! read more

My experience using Benchmark was great. I left every visit closer to recovering my mobility and all the therapists worked with me to achieve my goal. There was an upbeat atmosphere and feel that helped to make the therapy easier. They are definitely the place I will chose if I need physical therapy in the future. read more

I have been going to this place for a couple months now, due to knee and lower back injuries that were caused by a car wreck a few months ago. Went to Chiro for 6+ months prior to coming here, and that only helped me with my upper back pain. No-one could heal my knee and lower back, which was having me worry that I have to live with the pain forever. I was prescribed PT by my ortho. I honestly regret not coming here earlier. I wish I could take back all those (semi-useless) chiro sessions, especially since back then I was in grad school and SUPER busy. BenchMark Physical Therapy has been nothing but amazing to me. The staff are all wonderfully nice. I have yet to have an issue with any one of them. They all work as a team to make sure their clients are receiving the best treatment possible. The treatments that I have been receiving by my DPT (Ms. Shanoon) include stretches, strengthening exercises, walking, dry needling, and cupping. They have worked wonders, as my knee and back pain are now both gone. Ms. Shannon is an absolutely wonderful, patient, and understating person, as are and her assistants Patrick and Brandon. I am saddened by the fact that my sessions are coming to an end next week. Overall, I think this place is superb. I recommend BenchMark at Glenridge to everyone! read more

I am very disappointed in benchmark physical therapy in Braselton. They're actually in Hoschton borderlining Flowery Branch. Don't know how they label themselves as Braselton but anyway, are used to come here under Workers Compensation and have no problem. I guess they have volume that they get from workers comp and they prefer the reimbursement that they get from Workers Compensation's. Well now I'm not a Worker's Comp. patient. I was referred by my orthopedist from my private insurance and nobody has ever told me that I needed to be here 30 minutes in advance to fill out paperwork. Most places will simply email you the paperwork or tell you to go on their website and fill it out. Whether you print it out or you fill it out from the website. Either way, nobody said that. I showed up to this office literally eight minutes late. I came on my lunch break. I work Monday through Friday so it was a great effort for me to come here on my lunch break and being eight minutes late was with a lot of effort. Everybody doesn't work a 9-to-5 job part time. Most people work during these hours and everyone is not an elderly patient. Some people are young or middle-age, and not retired sitting at home. In other words, they need to be a little bit more flexible. They were all new people in this location. Nobody I recognize from the desk was there and there was none of the therapist that I recognize on the floor when I arrived. They made a big deal and said that they have to see if the therapist is still willing to see me. I simply asked for my papers and told them I'll just go to another physical therapist. I tried to give them some constructive criticism about letting patients know things in advance, and being more flexible since it took them three whole months to get me this appointment. No one ever answers their phone for the most part and I waited over a month for them to have availability. Now it comes time for them to be flexible with me and they're tripping and spazzing out over eight minutes. Unheard of. I have a ton of doctors and specialists and I've never had a doctor that doesn't give you a grace period. If you want paperwork filled out 30 minutes in advance, let patient know that when you make the appointment and email them the paperwork or tell them what website to go on and fill it out. Everyone doesn't take 30 minutes to fill out paperwork and everybody doesn't write slow. Again I'm a nurse. I know how to write very fast and it would've taken me less than 10 minutes to fill out that paperwork. But nonetheless, I don't beg people to take my money. I just go elsewhere. I already have improvement of motion, motivating me to want to do more exercises on my own. And isn't that the best compliment I can pay them? It all depends on your physical therapist and location. I went to the new one at Northside drive (powers ferry) and the therapist, Jeff is great. Help me with my back and then later with shoulder injury. The biggest problem I have with Benchmark is insurance. I was told $10 co-pay, and then 4 months letter, after completing therapy, I get a a $500 bill from Benchmark demanding more money. Feels like a scam.... read more

Very gentle girls, but the therapy is a kind of retrograde and it doesn't consider the actual condition of the patient. This place is ridiculously expensive: they are more expensive than the therapists at the Hospital for Special Surgery of NYC, ranked #1 in all the States, and maybe in the world, for Orthopedics. I know because I underwent my BTH replacement in that Hospital 5 years ago. I needed some therapy because I pushed too much and I needed to take care of my muscles; I didn't need the therapy needed immediately after surgery. Very disappointed. read more

I have terrible knees. Always have, and playing sports hasn't helped them at all. Apparently, my doctor tells me they're only going to get worse, and, judging by a shooting, grinding pain spell I had a few months back, I'm thinking the dude is right. Enter Benchmark. The team at this Benchmark location are awesome. I'm definitely a newbie to physical therapy so, I'm not sure if they all do this, but I like the fact that all of the PTs that work with me walk me through the exercises and let me know why we're doing them so I'm not in the dark. I appreciate that. On a completely unrelated, but related note, all of the PTs (hell even the office staff) seem to to be young and attractive, but not annoyingly so, and always have a good conversation going, which helps the time go by quickly. Before long, I'm in and out and done with my session. The office is open on Saturdays and available early morning and late evening, so if you work a typical 9-to-5 like me, it works out well. read more

DIRTY! They do NOT clean the therapy tables after each patient, nor do they drape the tables with paper like in a doctors office. They do NOT clean the exercise equipment between patients. They could ask the patient to wipe things down with alcohol wipes when they are done. The bathroom was disgusting. The trash can was over flowing, the mirror was filthy ( how does a mirror get so dirty??), the floor was dirty with paper waste on it and who knows when or if the toilet was last cleaned. There was also thick dust on flat surfaces, that did not happen in just a week or two. I also did not observe the therapists cleaning their hands after touching (massaging) the clients. And the waiting area is so small there is no room for social distancing and the therapy tables are only about 3 feet apart. No one seems to care about this location..uck. read more

PT is fine, billing is awful and not worth going because of that. I'm beginning to believe they are just dishonest. I've been trying to get my $550 over-payment back for 3 months and they are still giving me the runaround. We have new insurance this year and Benchmark apparently told me the wrong co-pay. I assumed they got it from my insurance company. Once I figured out I had been over-paying for many visits, I stopped paying a co-pay. Once my treatment was finished, I tried to get a refund. I have degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine with painful numbness in my arm, and came to this Benchmark location for P.T. The team at Benchmark is great! Kirsten and LIzzie are both extremely knowledgeable and thorough, and make sure they are addressing the specific areas in need of therapy. I was new to physical therapy, and I'm so glad I chose it over surgery or more medication. You will not be sorry if you choose this Benchmark location. :) read more

I do NOT recommend BenchMark Physical Therapy at all. First of all they will give you an estimate that is not even close to the huge invoice they will send you, they have the way to find out if your insurance covers the service but will not tell you, so do your homework and call your insurance yourself BEFORE even thinking of going there. On the first and only visit, they performed an "EVALUATION", asked questions, took measurements to design a therapy to be started on the next appointment, no actual therapy was received at this time but they sent an invoice charging an initial evaluation plus Therapeutic Exercise and Therapeutic/kinetic Activity, bottom line they charged $282.oo . By the way, they sent the invoice detail after contacting Customer Service, I explained that no therapy was received but they said they have no control over it and that we have to pay anyway because we signed the papers; I strongly recommend that if you decide to go, carefully read everything and think twice before signing. read more
