A 1 star review, uh...something's VERY wrong and it's NOT with BENCHMARK Holly Springs Ga!!! This is my SECOND experience with them, so I think that makes me a qualified expert on their care, attitude, and overall treatment of their patients . My orthopedic doctor is one of the top doctors in greater Atlanta, he referred me to Benchmark In January 2016 . I could barely walk, I thought it was all over and I was going to have to finally give in and have a knee replacement I was told I needed, at 67 years old! But rather than just send me to surgery, he suggested I have PT first. I started PT three days a week with Benchmark, that went on for about two months . At my first session with them the physical therapist told me if I could strengthen the muscle below my knee and above my knee on my thigh, that would pull my kneecap apart, relieving the grinding bone on bone arthritic terrible pain that had me finally willing to have my knee replacement done. Now I'm not gonna lie, I thought uh huh...sure, this guy selling me a dream because I'm a new patient. At that time I was getting the series of three shots in my knee, and when I went back for the next one a week later, I told my doctor what the physical therapist had said kinda laughing as I told him. He looked at me and said "yep, if you're able to do that and you keep up the PT at home you could avoid ever having a knee replacement"!!!! I went back to PT with an entirely different attitude and focus!! The next two months I went to days a week, and then I left for Paris! While in Paris I climbed 73 stairs, yes I counted them... to get to a well-known restaurant rooftop that professes to have the best view of the Eiffel tower and 73 stairs back down again ( down I have learned can be worse than going up )!!! The next morning my knee was a little stiff, but that it and I quickly "walked it out"! One of the days I was in Paris I probably walked for 5 miles... literally! Whenever I'm in Paris I walk a lot, I had no problem whatsoever! I WAS A BELIEVER!!! I could not wait to get back and tell the PT team and everyone at Benchmark starting with the receptionist!!! Part 2... OK I got a little arrogant after achieving all that, which expressed itself as laziness, I stopped doing my PT at home because I had no more pain!! Well... in December this year at the end of my workday my clients were helping me get up out of my chair, because I couldn't walk again . I went back to Dr kelly, and was sent back to PT . This time it hasn't taken as long to get my need back into the same shape it was before I went to Paris. Next week will be my last week at Benchmark! I will graduate again with no pain in my knee, and able to do pretty much whatever I want to! I plan to do my PT which only takes about 15 minutes a day to avoid ever having to have a knee replacement! Emma and Danielle, at the front desk are beyond kind, helpful and make you feel their glad your there. Scott is my PT, while "on point"at all times, he runs that entire office while still giving undivided attention and care to each patient! ( and wears the coolest socks! I had Daniel the other PT one time on an emergency, he squeezed me in at the end of his day stepping right up, taking care of the enjury I incurred helping someone else in a wheelchair! All of the PT assistant's are so kind and helpful, it's kind of like an extended family. They are always interested in each patient. I listened as patients all over the office share bits and pieces of their personal lives in this comfortable friendly atmosphere. Next week is my last week and if I behave myself, continue my PT at home as instructed, my goal of avoiding any replacement will be successful! Five stars is not enough to rate this group of dedicated professionals! read more

I have been to Benchmark after 3 joint replacements and most recently after 2 dislocated hips. I was treated by Daniel and also each of the other Doctors of Physical Therapy at that location. All were personable, friendly, patient, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They understood my problem and have a vast knowledge of treatments for it. In my case it required teaching movements to avoid and setting limits for what I do at home. They made recommendations for arranging my home to allow me to move around without putting me in danger of another dislocation. The exercises they gave me strengthened the muscles in my hip that will hold it securely and they taught me how to stay strong so that I continue to improve. It's now been 3 months since the last dislocation and I have the confidence to increase my range of motion allowing me to safely do more and more for myself. In a few weeks I expect to be able to reach my feet, put on my socks and shoes without the help of my wife. The entire staff is well trained and friendly. If I ever need PT again I will definitely come back here and have recommended this location to others for their physical therapy needs. read more

I have been going to Benchmark for therapy since October 2015. Dry Needling was new for me, my doctor had recommended it for my Neck and Myofascial pain. It has been a lifesaver for me, previously having had physical therapy and other outpatient treatments for years at different places. The difference here is a hands on approach! They don't just evaluate you and have you come in and do exercises like most places that really, you can do at home. I have seen a few different therapists, and they are all very professional and caring. But Sam and Daniel have made a life changing difference for me. For the last year I have been seeing Daniel and I feel blessed to have found him. He remembers everything, small details that make a huge difference in your treatment and progress. I have chronic issues so I am happy to have found a place that is invested in my health and is constantly finding different ways to not only treat my body, but go the extra steps in contacting doctors, managing the whole process, which very often with insurance can get tricky. I have been a foot and shoulder therapy client for over one and a half years, the staff members at this location are extremely dedicated to the well-being and recovery of the client. It's been a hard recovery for me, and more to come. I believe without these folks I could not have come this far. Thanks you all from my heart. I began my first Physical Therapy treatment with BenchMark in 2015 after having hip surgery. When I found out that I had to have surgery again on the same hip there was no question as to where I wanted to go so back to BenchMark I went for a second time in 2016. A few months ago I began having issues with what I thought was my hip again. Daniel Mackie performed a screening to see if it was actually my hip causing the issue. He informed me that it was my back and referred me to an Orthopedic specialist in which I was referred for PT again. I am at the end of my current treatment and HAVE NOT FELT THIS GREAT in a very long time. Each employee at the Holly Springs location are always helpful and ready to answer any question that I may have. I would gladly recommend them to anyone and WILL NOT go to anyone else for my PT needs. My doctor referred me to this office tohave therapy on my knee. Daniel Mackie worked with me to help me alleviate the pain and lack of motion I was having. He was absolutely great. From the first visit to the last, I was treated with respect, and I felt he was genuinely concerned. Daniel explained everything clearly and thoroughly. He patiently answered all questions I had no matter how silly, with as much detail I required. Never saw any frustration, even if he had to answer the same question for the zillionth time. He was great at suggesting items I could use at home that would work like their machines, along with providing a list of exercises. The rest of the staff were also great, a very good office and wonderful people. I could not have had a better experience. Most importantly, there is great improvement in my knee! I tore my mcl skiing and was prescribed rehab to return to prior form. Being athletic and in my early 30s, I was skeptical that PT would be able to add something I couldn't do at the gym. I was wrong. I learned a ton and was challenged at Benchmark. The therapists tailored a plan for me and even gave me additional workouts for the gym. More over, they truly cared about my recovery... checking in frequently. I also liked that they remembered my kids names and asked about other activities in my life. They cared about my physical and mental rehabilitation after the injury. I can't recommend Klay and Daniel highly enough. read more
