Just waiting for our table to open up for happy hour.

We kicked things off with a bowl of tortilla soup that was absolutely delicious, and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked. I then indulged in a juicy wagyu bacon smash burger with coleslaw. My partner went for a smoky beef-and-cheddar cheese burger, but we thought it could have been a bit more juicy. The service was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Tiny wings. Ripoff. Do not get.

6 stars for the ambiance. Great outdoor patio area with river views. 3 stars for the beer. 1 star for the food. Absolutely insulting portion size of wings. $13 for 6 of the tiniest wings I've ever seen, including one nub of one (not even a full size tiny wing). I was going to buy a corduroy hat, but I was so insulted by the food that I didn't on principle. Would still go back for the atmosphere, but that's about it.

They have seating inside and outside with attentive, friendly service. Their beers were a little more sweet for my liking. Ordered a burger that was okay and brussel sprouts that I wish were crispier. Overall, there wasn't much to write home about but I still liked the vibe and location a lot, so I would go back because of that

Having a good IPA right next to Deschutes River was really cool. I enjoyed the outside area with plenty of space and seating. The inside looked spacious as well. Super convenient location and a great place to grab a drink before our dinner reservations.

Fish tacos. We ordered an extra one for $3.50

We came here yesterday. It was beautiful out and the location is right on the water. They were showing the World Cup on a big screen. We were hungry from a day out on the water and came hungry. We started with wing and the pretzel. They were devoured and we ordered another set of wings. Then, we ordered the cheeseburger, fish and chips and fish tacos. The beers were tasty and good and the portions were generous.

Let me start with the positives: loved the outdoor space with a view of the river and the server was very friendly and nice. They got us our food and had us back on the road writhing about 45 minutes. Lived the IPA I had and my husband loved his as well. They had about 5 west coast style IPA and descriptions for each. That I liked! My hubby ordered the ceviche and zi had the peach and burrata caprese dish with added chicken. Here's where my positive comments end. The peaches were described as fire roasted and they were not and they were so underripe I almost did not want to eat them. The chicken breast was cut up and very dry with a lack of salt and pepper and the tomatoes were over ripe. By the way why don't restaurants give you salt and pepper anymore? And some of them only give you a fork. That was not the case here however. I want to go back in time to where you would always get water, a knife, salt and pepper and bread. Can't we do that?

The staff are amazing and the food is spectacular no complaints we had a great Fourth of July here quite the party There's a massive screen, and we all got to watch the World Cup

We went there after visiting Silver River Resort, we went there to see the light show and after was recommended to go to Bend Brewing Company for some good fish & chips. My wife and daughter ordered the fish & chips and both were very disappointed with there order, because the fish batter was not crispy and more doughy, the French fries was tasty it didn't come out hot but was good & tasty. I had a chili and corn bread and it came out Luke warm which even the cheese didn't melt, I asked. The waitress was very nice and offered to heat it up and got me a new one. The corn bread was cold dried and hard which was not very tasty. The waitress brought out another chili & corn bread which was hotter, but by that time I was pretty full of the pull pork nachos. The Pull Pork Nacho was good and the portion was a good side. The beers were terrific and worth ordering and they gave a good variety of beers to choose from. The waitress notice that I hardly ate the chili and took it off the bill and apologized about the cold chili. Service is outstanding

One of the best pretzels we've had in the states.

Review is for their service, atmosphere, beer, and pretzel only. Eric was behind the bar and he was friendly. He Allowed people to try literally any beer they wanted before purchasing. Personally I get annoyed when someone comes and asks to try literally every one before purchasing. Just get a flight!!! But he didn't hesitate, tap his fingers or make a face when the couple next to us kept asking for a splash of everything. He served. They had a good selection of solid beer. We liked just about beer we tried. There is indoor and outdoor seating with music at just the right loudness. The view is one of the best for breweries at this little town just off the river. The pretzel is bomb! Soft on the inside and just the right amount of crunch on the outside. Definitely one of the Top pretzels and beer cheese I've had. Well done. So glad we came!

We arrived downtown early for dinner at a restaurant that doesn't have a bar so decided to walk over to Bend Brewing Company and have a drink. Great beer and ambiance - especially enjoyed the outdoor seating and fire pit. Since we sat outside you order inside and service was friendly and fast!

It's no surprise that Bend has plenty of brewery options! Bend Brewery should be on your list of places to visit! They are celebrating 30 years of Best Brews and Views - hard to argue with that! They've got an incredible outdoor seating area right along the river which is hard to beat. There was a bit of a wait but we were able to grab a drink from their patio bar and hang outside while we waited. I do feel their menu has gotten smaller, more limited, and more expensive over the years. I had the smash burger. It was tasty but hardly had any meat... more bun than anything. For the price, was expecting a bit more. The fries were good though! The cauliflower hummus and the drinks were great! Definitely a good spot to check out while in Bend.

When the sun comes out there's no better space to enjoy it than the river patio, great river views. I appreciated the creative flavors of the menu- maple bacon chicken sandwich and butternut squash risotto balls had great fall flavors. The cajun tots were hot and perfectly crispy, a highlight. I wish the suppli were larger and more filling, I also wish the french onion soup bread was on the side because it got really soggy and had a bitter taste to it once it got so soggy. Dog friendly patio with tons of dog bowls and plenty of refills for water for the pups! Great service! Enjoyed the experience overall, better than expected slightly elevated bar food.

This is a family friendly brewery. The outdoor ambiance right on the river added to a great experience with 5 kids. We went there twice for dinner & once for lunch. Each time we were greeted by happy servers.

Anyone know if they have any non-alcoholic options besides soda?

Is the patio open in the winter?

Yes, it is and they also have an open linear fire pit with some heated seats. The larger patio area is now enclosed in a tent.

After eight years, Crux is overdue for a review update. Biggest reason is that quite a few years…read moreago they expanded the place significantly, opening up the large room to the right of the bar that opens into the outdoor area. That room is equipped with restrooms, relieving one of my major complaints about a lack of facilities, as well as a second serving station complete with taps. Since then, Crux has significantly changed the outdoor area as well although I'm not certain it's an upgrade. It's a little too landscaped and way too much like a playground now. Locals have always tended to refer to Crux as 'daycare but with beer.' The last several times I've come here, the second serving station has not been in operation even though it looks to be still fully functional. Meanwhile the line to the bar serving stations is often long, sometimes almost out the door. Not sure why that is, doesn't make sense to have the capacity to more efficiently serve customers but not use it. All that said, the beer is still stellar and they continue to have a wide range of beer choices, the new(ish) large room has plentiful high-top seating (mobility challenged folks will need to venture outside), and the music is kept below ear-splitting volume. You can also sit at the bar itself although the vibe there isn't great - it's not like a neighborhood pub bar. Crux still has a kitchen. I used to order directly from them but have since transitioned to patronizing one of the several food carts outside. Being food carts, they tend to come and go so I'll not go into detail there. That said, the new Alpine Smash burger is fabulous. The other significant change in recent years has been with the location. A dispute with the property owners to the west resulted in the access road that way being closed, requiring Crux patrons to use the road coming from Second/Scott Street (or ride a bike). The west road is now open, maybe because the Jackstraw housing complex over that way is now completed and the road serves their tenants. RIP Spoken Moto.

So on our last trip to Bend we finally made it here to the their taproom and it didn't disappoint at all. It was a great stop! We got a taster set of a variety of different beers that they had on tap and they were all quite good. Many of them have a wild ale aspect to them which I can appreciate at you don't come across this beer too much on a routine basis. The taproom is cool and I love all of their art specifically where fermentation liquids spilled onto a sheet or a cloth making various designs and hues during the brewing making process of their beers. Other excellent beers that we have had from this brewery are the Samalie which is a Wild Ale. This one I rated very highly on Untappd because it was so amazing! Things to look for in the flavor profile are sourness, tartness, fruitiness, a natural sweetness and a dry finish. Really an excellent beer! Moving on from that we had the great Ping Pong Table Beer. This was another beer I rated quite highly and enjoyed immensely. This beer is light bodies, smooth and effervescent with the flavor of elderflower at work. Another excellent beer! Definitely great beer experiences with this brewery and definitely recommend it to the more adventurous beer drinking folks. There are plenty of breweries to try out in Bend and if you are looking for something on the more unusual side The Ale Apothecary is a great place for such a thing!

Ale Apothecary is a wild fermentation brewery and blendery located in a commercial plaza in Bend. They don't have food, but there's plenty of other great options nearby including Bo's Falafel and Good Life Brewing around the corner. If you're on the Bend Ale Trail, this is a must-visit stop as well. We visited on a weekday afternoon after opening, so it wasn't busy at all. The friendly beer server was welcoming and shared about the brewery, explaining about the bottle selections, how they make everything, and what was available on tap or in bottles to try that day. The décor is super eclectic with fun things to look at and enjoy while sipping. They also have picnic tables and outdoor seating if you'd prefer. Bottles are also available to go. For its uniqueness, prices are super reasonable for complex beers. This isn't a brewery for everyone however, even their customer demanded line of "regular beers" each has a signature of funk from their house yeast strains. As a beer lover that enjoys everything, it was fun to taste each thing; friends enjoyed this place very much as well. If you're an adventurous beer fan, this is worth your time!
