I'm visiting from out of town and needed food (and a drink) after a long travel day. Came here around 2pm on a Thursday. There was a really short wait to be seated for lunch. By the time I got my beer at the bar, my table was ready. First, the beer - I got a flight of 6. I got the sour + 4 lighter beers + the mocha porter. Not a huge fan of the porter but the rest were very good. Easy drinking and perfect for a nice day. Second, the food - I got the burger with sweet potato fries. It came out pretty quickly and it was also devoured quickly. So good! It's a smash burger style. Fries were also great and came with a spicy ketchup. Third, the service was great. My server was attentive but not too much so. Bartender was also very friendly. Lastly, the brewery sits right along the river and is beautiful. There's a great beer garden with picnic tables if you're just getting beer and don't want a sit down meal. A great brewery to add to your list in Bend! read more

Normally, I have a lot to say about the restaurants that I visit. However, I found a Bend Brewing Company to be somewhat lackluster. Obviously, this place is about the beer they brew - it's in their name - but I had hoped the food and service would be better. I found the food to be exceptionally salty, and the service somewhat disjointed. For what it's worth. I had the pretzel with cheese and mustard, the cheese curds, and a smash burger. The pretzels seemed a bit over cooked. The cheese for the pretzel lacked meaningful flavor, the cheese curds were so salty that I only ate a couple of them, and the smash burger was similarly salty. Not every place "hits it out of the park" every day... perhaps this is just not the ideal day for them. I believe it is likely we may have shown up during a shift change of some sort which may have impacted both the service and the food. Nonetheless, I would return to give it another chance. Used to come here all the time for locals night and order food from the happy hour menu. It was great! Decided to come back to order the nachos that used to be sooo fantastic. Now, what a disappointment. The amount of NO meat nachos was very small for $16! However, this ended up being ok, since there was less food to throw out. Chips - over fried (dark + dry) Liquid cheese - eek factor + less than 1/4 cup. Yes, hardly any cheese. But again, it was ok due to being liquid. Salsa - they made up for the lack of cheese by going overboard with their "salsa", which had the same consistency and taste as ketchup. So, the nachos were some dried non tasting chips with ketchup. Tasted some of hubby's fries, which were wayyy too salty. We will never be back. read more

PARKING: There is a small private lot for you to park at. AMBIANCE: It is a casual restaurant. FOOD: I ordered the Chili soup which was solid. It was flavorful and has spicy kick to it. As for drinks, I got the Schnapps Hot Chocolate which is the perfect drink on a cold day. All of these was perfect for a cold evening dinner! Walking in the area one night we noticed BBC since there were lines out the door so we went to check them out the following day and the line did not cease either! We wanted to come to enjoy dinner around 7PM and they already cut off the waitlist for dine in seating due to how packed it was. As an alternative if you come you can grab one of the available outside bar or patio seats. They do make more space by converting some parking lot spaces to hold patio table and their snack bar. We did see others just come and bring their blankets to lay on the grass so that's an option too! We were lucky where there was live music playing 7PM-8PM as well so we got to enjoy with a great river view. While the full kitchen was closed they did have a snackbar which was serving different types of brats, tater tots, and pretzels. Ended up getting a pretzel with beer cheese dip for $10 and the pretzels were super soft and had a flaky sea salt on top. Didn't have the usual crunch but just as enjoyable with the dip. As for drinks I enjoyed the Metolius Golden Ale which is a great option if you want low IBUs. You can opt to order indoors with the full bar menu or outside with a smaller range of drinks on tap. They closed at 9PM on the weekends so while some groups were leaving we were able to nab a couple seats by the water and it's a wonderful vibe with the string lights. While BBC is in between other restaurants' outdoor seating there was still a sense of privacy and openness even with how many groups there were! read more

My sister and I each had an order of the fish and chips with fries. The fish was half the size of what I'm acustom to on the coast of California. The tartar sauce was sweet. However, my sister did not care for the taste. My husband ordered the tri-tip sandwich with coleslaw and enjoyed both of them. He also ordered the beer in the photo but can not remember the name of it. He also enjoyed the taste and had another. The atmosphere was on the louder side, but then it was a brewery. Decent food, friendly service...but some disappointment on the side. We decided on BBC for our final dinner while in town. I was very excited for a good beef dip sandwich, so we chose that (with sweet potato fries), as well as fish n chips. We shared the 2 meals, my hubby and I. But sadness...my shredded beef dip sandwich came without dip! Booooo. That entree omission was only exacerbated by a lack in flavor, it definitely needed to be spiced up somewhat. Solid beers at a fun, lively atmosphere. Bend Brewing Company was a great place to enjoy some local crafts and hear live music on a sunny day. We visited Bend Brewing Company while walking around the area, and Bend being abundant in breweries, it was a little overwhelming to decide which one to check out. But we decided to visit Bend Brewing Company, as we were in the downtown area already. When we visited on a Saturday night, the hostess said that only outdoor seating was available if we wanted to just get beers. Indoor seating was reserved for those who wanted to dine-in, which was fine with us. On a Saturday night, most of the picnic tables were taken outside, especially since live music was going on. I was hanging out on the grass area until I saw a couple leave a shared picnic table with another couple, so ended up snagging that, which ended up well. We instantly made friends with the other couple over beers, so had a fun time. My partner and I shared a flight, which came with six tasters. I enjoyed all of the IPAs, which they had a handful to choose from. It worked great for me since IPAs are my favorite beer! They were all hoppy and fragrant. My partner enjoyed his stout the most. The outdoor space was dog-friendly and there were a ton of dogs out! I loved it. Although the outdoor area doesn't have dine-in service, they do have an area with a grill where people can get some food items, like hot dogs and other handheld items. Once our order squeezed through the bar-service bottleneck, service was prompt and friendly- though we each would've had a second drink of ordering weren't such a pain in the ass. As for the food, Burger Boy got a smash burger with tots, and I had the fish and chips. Taste-wise, above average pub fare. Price-wise, about what you'd expect in Bend. There was something else, though, that compelled us to leave once our food was done: loud country music. It was a great experience with good food, great appetizers, cool atmosphere. How can you beat drinking in a parking lot. We arrived about 5:30 on a Saturday. There was a 30 minute wait for a full menu table. However, they had a beer garden set up in parking lot with access to beer and appetizers. There was an open table and all were were looking for were a few beers and appetizers. It was serve yourself. There was a tap outside for beers. I had a tasty IPA. Don't remember the name as my buddy got it for me while I went into the bar to order the appetizers. They give you one of those flashing buzzers to let you know when ready. For appetizers I got fried cheese curds, sriracha cauliflower and chicken nachos. The cheese curds were outstanding. The cauliflower was excellent and took some of the guilt away from drinking the beer and other appetizers. I'd recommend them, and saw many other orders of them at other tables. The nachos were good. Nothing that would stand out from a good Mexican restaurant, but still good. There were full service tables outside on the grass closer to the river that looked pretty cool. read more

Plusses: The pulled pork tacos were absolutely delicious, and very hearty. The pretzel was good. The picnic table patio atmosphere was nice. Minusses: My wife put in a couple of special requests on her salad order (such as no onions). Even though the waiter repeated these requests back to her, when the salad came out none of the requests had been done. We were on the waitlist for a patio picnic table when one party left their table and before it was bussed a group of people who were not on the list just sat down there. We complained, but management did not force them to leave; and in fact they got their table bussed and they were served water before we were even seated. If you are going to have a policy, please enforce it rather than rewarding those who break it. read more

The venue is outstanding! It has an amazing outdoor space that has a picnic/ park feeling. We were there for a pre wedding party and they accommodate us with easy. Some of the beers are good other we're not. The food was not good and limited selection ( four "main" dishes. They did have this lavender lemonade that half the party absolutely flipped four, Patty other half, but it tasted like bleach lol! It was a fun night and I would definitely go again, but I would eat before. read more

We were visiting Bend and had some time to kill before meeting up with friends for dinner and stumbled on this spot so we grabbed a drink and sat along the river. We were returning home after a 9 day road trip and love making Bend of half way over night stop. We were hungry and tired. My husband has wanted to try this place. So glad we did. The service was amazing! We got there but the place was packed. There was some bistro tables at the bar and just on the other side and to one. The hostess came up to us and said she didn't know when a table would open knowing we were tired from a long drive. We asked if we would be able to order where we were at and they said absolutely. We got our drinks at the bar and ordered our food. About 10 minutes later the hostess came over and said that a big party just left and if we wanted a table. I told her we already ordered but she said no problem if we wanted to switch. So we moved. All the employees seemed like they were very helpful and happy. Atmosphere was great. Great energy. We were in the mood for fish and chips but couldn't decide on the fish tacos or platter. We decided for each of us to get one and the other. They were the best fish and chips we have tried in the last couple of months. Personally I think I liked the player because you get fries vs tortilla chips with the tacos but both were delicious. Stopped in for dinner last week on our way through Bend. Great ambiance and very LARGE portions of food. Hubby and I could have shared but we ordered the nachos plus fish and chips. The nachos were a hit with both of us; perhaps a few too many black beans for our taste but otherwise very tasty. The fish and chips were prepared well, not too greasy which was good. The tarter sauce wasn't my favorite. Way too sweet (they forgot the tart in tarter) and not much of a dill flavor. As someone who makes homemade tarter sauce, I was very disappointed in their sauce.
