Coming to Bend the last few years, I've been trying to finish the Ale Trail which means going to every brewery and taproom in the area. I had been to other Sunriver locations but this last visit was my first at the Eastside. It's very open with a friendly industrial feel and big windows for natural light. They have a huge selection of their beers, plus an amazing food menu using local produce. They also have a large selection of cans and special bottles for to go service. The draft selection is excellent, I had one flight on my visit. On my visit bartender Keir was fantastic, super attentive and friendly even as the day was getting busier. I had the special squash soup of the day, and it ended up being one of the most memorable meals of my trip. Prices are reasonable for the quality, highly recommended. read more

If you live in Bend or are just visiting, you have to try some beer! I love Sunriver's beer and wine options. The Thingamabobber Hazy is my new favorite. You can try samples of the beer before you commit. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. This spot is big and open and has a fire pit outside. We stop in here occasionally and it's been perfectly acceptable pub food. Today tho, not so much. The waiter, a very nice guy, when I asked if they're still serving the bowl, he said "no it's off the menu until fall due to the high school kids they now have as cooks, you know, they can't cook rice and beans. so......". I asked can they cook fish and chips? He said oh sure. Again, not so much. Two recommendations: #1 don't tell your customers your cooks can't cook. 2# don't hire kids that can't cook. I didn't complain but I also only ate 20% of my fish and sweat potato fries, not edible, and the waiter, as nice as he was, never questioned if everything was ok. In his defense he did come by right after the food arrived and ask if everything was satisfactory but I hadn't started eating. We'll wait until fall to try again. read more

Service was horrible. I was in the process of getting my kids stuff together (to leave due to wait) when a waiter finally showed up, so I decided to stay and order. He got our order wrong and when I pointed it out, he walked away from our table without a word.... So bizarre. I had to walk to the front to get to-go boxes and ask for a check because he never came back. Worth noting that it was not busy. Maybe an off day for a server, but I wouldn't recommend this place after our experience today. read more

We went over for some food and a few beers in the late afternoon. Introduced my brother to the art of the beer flight. He found one he really liked. I had two flights and enjoy all the beers I tried. We shared a delicious pizza and enjoyed great friendly and knowledgeable service. Wish it had been warmer so we could have sat outside at the fire pits. Would definitely go back when in Bend. Conveniently located near the hospital where we had a family member having a minor procedure. read more

Very friendly, personable waitress. Our food was done SUPER fast. I got the gluten free wagyu sliders (they use a normal gf bun and cut it in half). I would say the condiments are the star of this show and they used very little so I got a couple good bites but it was mostly bland. The fries were really good (not a dedicated fryer for any celiacs reading this). Loves how they were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Good fry sauce too. My son got the kids slider meal- as you can see it's nearly as big as an adult meal, which is amazing! He really liked his food! read more

Mr. Storm here. The Missus was unavailable at lunch, so I took myself to lunch. Point was delicious and with a happiness that got my attention without scaring me away. I ordered the smash burger, because there isn't a regular burger on the menu. To my relief, it showed up as big as a regular burger. And the upgrade to garlic parm fries was a good choice. With a GABF recognition as National Brewery for 2024, and being named Oregon's best brewery, these folks definitely know what they're doing in beer making! I'm a huge fan of Oregon beers! This family visit saw us partaking in waygu sliders, pizza and grilled flank steak with a coffee rub with whiskey maple glazed carrots - a nice blend of flavors and tastes for our varied family palate! The people were great in offering kind, easy-going service. The setting is also casual, not too noisy but lively, with its corner bar, open kitchen and solid wood picnic benches you feel right at home. Even on a Wednesday night Bend top spots like these fill up with the outdoorsy crowd coming in from a mountain hike, biking and lovely fall days. Our first time eating here. We met friends for lunch on a busy Saturday. Yes it's a little loud but there aren't many restaurants that aren't. I had the breakfast smash burger. A couple of the ingredients scared me a little but it was awesome! I barely touched my potatoes which is sad because they were very tasty. My buddie's pizza looked great. We didn't drink but I did purchase a 6 pack of their Fuzztail Hefe & Vicious IPA at a local store and live them both. Our server was awesome. Very attentive. read more

Sunriver is one of the stalwarts of the Bend brewing scene with a popular pub on Galveston as well as their flagship pub down in Sunriver. I understand they have a location in Eugene as well - haven't been there. With the demise of Jackson's Corner east, this location opened up and Sunriver has done a good job converting it to a brewpub. - Large open interior space with many tables, including for larger groups. The bar itself is fairly small though. - Nice covered outdoor space. - Great ambiance, not loud. - Beer is among Central Oregon's best. - Solid pub menu. The fish and chips are top tier. - Good service, including through a shift change. - Easy location with ample parking. - Prices are in line with the current market. Came here on Sunday with a group of friends. Hostess and Waiter seemed instantly annoyed. When my friend apologized for our group being larger they replied snarkily "it's ok, we are used to you church people." First, that's incredibly inappropriate to say (even if we were church people), second, we ARENT church people, and third, we were there visiting friends who live in Bend. Most of us were visiting from all over Washington/Oregon/Portland. So definitely not a real great way to welcome visitors. Food was ok, however had to wait an extra 15 minutes after our food was delivered to eat my meal because they forgot the meat on my Benedict. I should add that it was also my birthday. So ya. Went in the afternoon on a Thursday, it was pretty dead. We were charged a large party charge for a family of 5, including 2 kids under 12. The food was really mediocre and pretty significantly overpriced for what it was. ($160 for 2 kids meals, and 3 entrees, and just sodas, no alcohol.) Definitely won't be back. Server was super sweet and the food came out in a decent amount of time though. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. I really love what they did with the place. The ambiance is ver comfortable and casual as like every other brewery in Bend. I only notice 2 TVs in the entire restaurant. So definitely not a place to enjoy watching Sunday football. My husband had the wagyu sliders l. I had a bite and they were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Fries were your your basic frozen fries, but still were good. I had the Brussel sprouts that were on the special menu. I wasn't all that hungry so these hit the spot. I would definitely go back just for these two items. I'm not a beer drinker so I went for the dry cider. Not to sweet, which is what I like. What a great spot. Yes, it's in a slightly urban strip mall, but it is a full-on brewpub with outdoor seating. The food is basically the same as all the other locations...with the addition of pizza. Mali had the Turkey Dip and the wife had the burger with gluten free bun. Mine was perfect. Her GF bun was dry and crumbly (standard risk). It is a brewery, so the beer is 10,0. Ok, tbh, we've eaten here many times and gotten good food/service. Today, however, was ridiculous! Place was less than half full, but it was about 10 minutes from when we got seated until a server came by (just before we were about to walk out). We ordered a Turkey dip sandwich which is usually very good, but after another half hour wait, the host guy put down his cell phone long enough to bring us some kind of toasted turkey and American cheese crap sandwich! Where's the au jus, bud? Oh, it doesn't come with this sandwich. Um, we ordered a Turkey dip. Oh, this is a turkey cheese sandwich! Huh? Extra crispy (read nearly burnt) bacon. American cheese and what looked like Oscar Mayer lunch meat on over-toasted white bread, we complained and the manager did comp us the sandwich, but seriously, I could have gotten this good of a sandwich at a nearby gas station. Being a fan of Sunriver Brewing, I decided to give the Eastside Pub another chance - and was I glad I did! This visit was wonderful and has changed my view of the place. In my last review, I praised the food and drink but found the service lacking. Since then, a lot has changed as the food, beverage, and service were all top-notch this time! We arrived for an early dinner (around 5:30 pm) on a Tuesday evening and were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated. Our server was attentive and friendly, giving some great food and drink recommendations. The service was timely, the food was hot and delicious, and the beverages were some of the best ever. My wife ordered the steak and blue cheese flatbread with an accompanying margarita, which were both outstanding! I had the Mushroom & Tip Stromboli and two beers - The Fresh Hop Vicious Mosquito and Escape from Escondido (server recommended). The Stromboli was amazing, and the beers were the high quality and interesting brews I've come to expect from Sunriver! This was the best meal we've had at a restaurant in a long time! I'm happy I give the Eastside Pub another chance, as it will for sure be one of our regular places to visit now that we live in Bend. read more

The kids "play area" they advertise heavily is a bench with a few toys. The tables are extremely small there is no way in reality you could fit more than 2 people let alone 5 at their high tops. Service was slow. Not clean silverware is grabbed from tables with wooden boxes that are not clean! The kids play area is disgusting looks like it's never been wiped down or sanitized! The food was very mid after our food was done it sat under a light for 10 minutes and wasn't warm when it came to our table! And was well overcooked! And the cooks were not wearing cloves or hair net so who knows if there hand were clean! Love that there are multiple locations! The food is just as good as the west side with much less traffic issues. The staff and restaurants are excellent at all locations but a great selection of great food, specials, and craft beers. The only difference is like usual the west side locations have more "character" and the east side locations are more strip mall locations. This doesn't make the experience less intriguing but slightly less special as you don't have to fight for a parking spot, wait for a table, or deal with the west side traffic. If you haven't tried the east side location you should go over and give it a try. You'll love the open concept between the seating, kitchen, and bar. Plus, currently adequate parking. read more
