We came here yesterday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was beautiful out and the location is right on the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were showing the World Cup on a big screen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were hungry from a day out on the water and came hungry. We started with wing and the pretzel. They were devoured and we ordered another set of wings. Then, we ordered the cheeseburger, fish and chips and fish tacos. The beers were tasty and good and the portions were generous.
We went there after visiting Silver River Resort, we went there to see the light show and after was recommended to go to Bend Brewing Company for some good fish & chips. My wife and daughter ordered the fish & chips and both were very disappointed with there order, because the fish batter was not crispy and more doughy, the French fries was tasty it didn't come out hot but was good & tasty. I had a chili and corn bread and it came out Luke warm which even the cheese didn't melt, I asked. The waitress was very nice and offered to heat it up and got me a new one. The corn bread was cold dried and hard which was not very tasty. The waitress brought out another chili & corn bread which was hotter, but by that time I was pretty full of the pull pork nachos. The Pull Pork Nacho was good and the portion was a good side. The beers were terrific and worth ordering and they gave a good variety of beers to choose from. The waitress notice that I hardly ate the chili and took it off the bill and apologized about the cold chili. Service is outstanding
We arrived downtown early for dinner at a restaurant that doesn't have a bar so decided to walk over to Bend Brewing Company and have a drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great beer and ambiance - especially enjoyed the outdoor seating and fire pit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since we sat outside you order inside and service was friendly and fast!
Review is for their service, atmosphere, beer, and pretzel only. Eric was behind the bar and he was friendly. He Allowed people to try literally any beer they wanted before purchasing. Personally I get annoyed when someone comes and asks to try literally every one before purchasing. Just get a flight!!! But he didn't hesitate, tap his fingers or make a face when the couple next to us kept asking for a splash of everything. He served. They had a good selection of solid beer. We liked just about beer we tried. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is indoor and outdoor seating with music at just the right loudness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view is one of the best for breweries at this little town just off the river.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pretzel is bomb! Soft on the inside and just the right amount of crunch on the outside. Definitely one of the Top pretzels and beer cheese I've had. Well done. So glad we came!
It's no surprise that Bend has plenty of brewery options! Bend Brewery should be on your list of places to visit! They are celebrating 30 years of Best Brews and Views - hard to argue with that! They've got an incredible outdoor seating area right along the river which is hard to beat. There was a bit of a wait but we were able to grab a drink from their patio bar and hang outside while we waited. I do feel their menu has gotten smaller, more limited, and more expensive over the years. I had the smash burger. It was tasty but hardly had any meat... more bun than anything. For the price, was expecting a bit more. The fries were good though! The cauliflower hummus and the drinks were great! Definitely a good spot to check out while in Bend.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]When the sun comes out there's no better space to enjoy it than the river patio, great river views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I appreciated the creative flavors of the menu- maple bacon chicken sandwich and butternut squash risotto balls had great fall flavors. The cajun tots were hot and perfectly crispy, a highlight. I wish the suppli were larger and more filling, I also wish the french onion soup bread was on the side because it got really soggy and had a bitter taste to it once it got so soggy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog friendly patio with tons of dog bowls and plenty of refills for water for the pups![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great service! Enjoyed the experience overall, better than expected slightly elevated bar food.
I love a going to a brewery by the water. It was quite treat to discover that Bend Brewing has a lovely outdoor area with a great view of the Deschutes River. You can also choose to hang out in other areas. Inside is sleek with lots of wood that exudes a warm vibe. There is also a patio that lines the outside of the building, and I think even more seating behind the grassy area, including some covered in a tent. Basically, Bend Brewing is a large, charming hangout space- with beer and food. Speaking of beer, I'll be honest, it didn't really stand out, but I only tried three of them & remember feeling satisfied. The pretzel was delicious, but overpriced. Service was friendly enough but nothing extraordinary. I would definitely come back here for its ambiance anytime I'm in Bend!
Beautiful sunny day on the river. We ordered a beer and bubbly white wine and shared some fish and chips. The wine and beer were good as usual. The fish and chips were less than desirable. To start the fish is battered in tempura so thick it's like eating fish in a sandwich, not good. We peeled most of the breading off. The fish itself was good. The coleslaw on the side was tasteless and boring. The fries also were greasy and not the best. Meal rating 2/10 beverages 9/10. Beautiful outdoor area with river view. Indoor area as well. Great service.
I wanted to be more excited about this place, but was super bummed about the fish and chips. Four out of six of us at the table ordered them and some of the batter was raw in everyone's order. In addition to that they were so heavily coated that we realize the amount of fish we got was very little for the price we paid. The crispy bets tasted good, and the rest of the food was pretty decent and our server was kind enough to comp two out of the four but had a tough time getting excited about potentially coming back. The beer was good and the venue was fun. It was a great location on the river
What an incredible surprise! We just saw it ion a map and said yea, let's try it. Welp, incredible fish tacos and a brisket grilled cheese. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The picnic area was also a nice surprise as we walked over there afterwards and enjoyed the Deschutes and ducks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was super friendly and quick. Just all around amazing. We'll be back for a few orders of the fish tacos!

We came on a Saturday night for live music and dinner. I ordered the Brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries, and my companion had the fish and chips (Cajun tots). The music laid the perfect background for a meal on the patio next to the river. While service was quick, it was average. The Brisket and coleslaw was really tasty, I ended up leaving the bread as it was kind of plain. The fish was really crispy and tasty. I drank a Mock-mule which was delicious. Overall, I would return on a night that had live music, as it was a perfect date or family night. read more

On our first full day in Bend we enjoyed a long walk along the Deschutes River including walking through downtown. Bend Brewing immediately caught our eye and we decided to eat lunch there. The property fits with the older look of the town but is still large and modern. The draw for nicer weather is the large outdoor seating/park area right along the river, also with a tent with warmers and outdoor tables in the sunshine. Regardless it was too cold for us so we went inside. You're immediately greeted with a large bar area, well lit with colored bottles catching the eye. We sat in the front area with high windows, great view of the trees and blue sky that day. Our server was efficient and fast, if not the friendliest to chat. The restaurant has restrooms between the front room and back room toward the street, which seems like an event area. We each ordered a flight; I loved the flight boxes and glassware. We all ordered food - I shared the bison burger with goat cheese and tater tots with a friend; we were glad we did as everything was rich. The beer was great quality as well - everything we all ordered was delicious and varied. This is highly recommended beer stop in Bend, a town known for beer. read more

I cannot stop thinking about this Cole slaw w my fish and chips - best I've ever had!! So flavorful and garlicky almost? I want to know what their secret is. Everything here was delicious. The fry on both the fish and fries were perfect, and I enjoyed every bite. Salad was classic and refreshing, chicken a bit dry tho. I ordered pick up and the staff were very accommodating, as their online portal wasn't working but they allowed me to phone in an order. I'd love to go again whenever I'm visiting bend. read more

The brewery sits right on the Deschutes River. Great spot to grab a cold one or even a bite if you're hungry. We decided to start with a beer flight. You get to choose 5 beers. We had some buffalo wings with our beers. The wings were just the right amount of crunchy. Then for our entree we both ordered the Brewhouse Salad with a side of chicken. The salad was a great portion and dressed perfectly. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. I wish I could remember her name. A more pepite younger girl with very curly hair. read more

Food 3/5: it was a mediocre overpriced sandwich. The experience/service was so bad, I feel that there are better places to venture and try. Service is -1/5 The most horrible customer service I have ever received. We ordered from the food truck and this place just left a very sour taste in my mouth, so bad that I needed to write a review.. BEFORE ordering, I made them aware of a food allergy, (the boy who I placed an order with was different than the man serving the food) while at the truck trying to retrieve the food, I noticed that the food precaution I made them aware of was on the food. After asking if I could get a new sandwich, the server became EXTREMELY frustrated and upset that "all food allergies need to be made known before ordering" (which already was -- and the boy who took my order even acknowledged that he did not communicate this with the man prepping/serving the food) I waited an extra 15 minutes for my sandwich to be re-made (which was no problem) but the problem was that he purposely made me wait on top of that!! I waited by the truck the entire time as my sandwich was being remade and I watched this sandwich sit by the window while he severed other customers before he gave it to me.. he finished making it, saw me waiting but did not serve me. Thankfully the boy who took my order handed me the sandwich. this just seemed cruel and extremely unnecessary -- I felt like it was a form of punishment for asking for a new sandwich.. :( read more

Outside right on mirror pond with a heated tent for when it is chilly outside. Indoor seating has an amazing indoor bar area with recent interior upgrades. Great beer and food. Definitely try the pretzel appetizer and Cajun tater tots and tacos! The service is always friendly and adds to our experience. read more
2nd oldest brewery in Bend, 1995. The mosaic was excellent and the hazy was very good. The fish tacos and brisket tacos were delicious. We were there during a brew fest with lots of people and good, live music. All in all a good evening read more

My ohana and I had a blast visiting this brewery. The setting is awesome with indoor/outdoor seating. Perfect for families and those with fur babies too. Our waiter was awesome and very helpful as it was our first time visiting Bend! My daughters enjoyed their food and so did my husband and I. From the kids mac and cheese- to the fish tacos to the fresh burrata and cheese salad- all was very much enjoyed. Drinks are amazing too! Can't wait to come back. A hui hou!! read more

Stopped for beer and lunch and was not disappointed. Group had a couple of beers and cocktails- all were good. Had the pretzel appetizer, it was good. The beer cheese was just ok. Had the BBQ burger was quite good, the crispy fish tacos were nicely done. The chicken sandwich was huge. We did not leave hungry. read more
Woah! What a great time at BBC!! Got there on a Friday night, when the locals were just getting started after a hard day working at their tech startup or weed growing operation or whatever they do here in Bend. The place was jumping with kids, dogs and a great vibe. Maybe it's the weed?? We were seated on the deck facing the sea of vaccinated liberals playing hacky sack and talking kayaking, and other outdoorsy stuff. Order a few beers. The beers were awesome!! The Cajun tater apps were fantastic. The burgers were even better! Scrumptious, the fries were perfectly seasoned. Such an awesome way to spend an afternoon!! read more

Service was great. Wait wasn't long for a holiday weekend. Drinks came out quickly. We had the fried cauliflower and that was a good appetizer while we waited for our meal. It was a nice out sitting out in the patio even with the hot weekend. Don't mind coming back here again. read more

Always love coming to this brewery when in Bend. Tasty beers and good food! My favorite go to is the fried chicken sandwich. They also have pretty good fish and chips. I love that when it's nice out they have a large outdoor area for people to sit and there's also beers on tap outside and a food cart. Staff is friendly, I've always had a good experience. They also have nice merchandise available! It's a spot worth stopping at when walking around town. read more
Really love this place. Beer. Good good. And, a lawn. Second time here. Last year we had drinks and dinner. Tonight, just drinks. The service team is super friendly. The ambiance is great. Both times here we sat in the lawn. Great place to kick back and relax and socialize with people you never knew you wanted to know. Tonight, we were "entertained" by a guy who just bought a recorder. He was mildly entertaining AND 100% hilarious (or was that his friends?). And. It right next to the Deschutes River. This place is 100%. read more

Fantastic set up, location, people and food. We came here on a Friday with perfect weather just before the lunch rush. We were sat outside under the tent and were helped right away. Turns out our waiter was only on his 3rd day at BBC but you wouldn't have known, he was great and helpful. I ordered the BBC smash burger and husband had the Tri Tip sandwich (and a hazy IPA). Also, they have a food truck on site that I believe you can order from instead if you don't want the full service of the restaurant, the menu is similar but smaller. Husband said the IPA was one of his favorites so we ordered a Crowler to go (sorry I don't recall the name). My burger was great, even though for a smash burger, it had a surprising amount of pink but that didn't bother me. The waffle sweet potato fries were amazing! Husband said the Tri Tip was good but that the cajun tots were even better. Pretty big praise, he's very picky about his tots. The location is great, next to Drake Pond with lots of outdoor seating but also private and not a shared space like you get down at the Old Mill. read more

Bend Brewing Company is a great place for a beer and some brew food. They have a nice outdoor seating area in which you sit at picnic tables and you have a view of the river. If you sit outside, you can order right from the food truck. They have "the top sellers" of Bend Brewing Company. You can also do this with their beers outside, however, there is a limited tap menu. BTW at the food truck, this is a limited food menu, so if you would like the full menu, I would sit inside. We decided to sit outside and order from the food truck, but first, we went inside to get some beers. We walked right up to the bar and got a sour and hazy. Both were very delicious! Next, we found a nice picnic table and ordered from the food truck. We got a pretzel and some fish n chips. The food came out pretty quick. Both were very good! Overall, we enjoyed the food, the beer, and the environment. We will be back. read more

Normally, I have a lot to say about the restaurants that I visit. However, I found a Bend Brewing Company to be somewhat lackluster. Obviously, this place is about the beer they brew - it's in their name - but I had hoped the food and service would be better. I found the food to be exceptionally salty, and the service somewhat disjointed. For what it's worth. I had the pretzel with cheese and mustard, the cheese curds, and a smash burger. The pretzels seemed a bit over cooked. The cheese for the pretzel lacked meaningful flavor, the cheese curds were so salty that I only ate a couple of them, and the smash burger was similarly salty. Not every place "hits it out of the park" every day... perhaps this is just not the ideal day for them. I believe it is likely we may have shown up during a shift change of some sort which may have impacted both the service and the food. Nonetheless, I would return to give it another chance. The outdoor seating was wonderful, and the views of the river were pleasant. read more

My sister and I each had an order of the fish and chips with fries. The fish was half the size of what I'm acustom to on the coast of California. The tartar sauce was sweet. However, my sister did not care for the taste. My husband ordered the tri-tip sandwich with coleslaw and enjoyed both of them. He also ordered the beer in the photo but can not remember the name of it. He also enjoyed the taste and had another. The atmosphere was on the louder side, but then it was a brewery. The reason for the three stars? We felt that our waitress was not very attentive and possibly due to our race. read more
I'm visiting from out of town and needed food (and a drink) after a long travel day. Came here around 2pm on a Thursday. There was a really short wait to be seated for lunch. By the time I got my beer at the bar, my table was ready. First, the beer - I got a flight of 6. I got the sour + 4 lighter beers + the mocha porter. Not a huge fan of the porter but the rest were very good. Easy drinking and perfect for a nice day. Second, the food - I got the burger with sweet potato fries. It came out pretty quickly and it was also devoured quickly. So good! It's a smash burger style. Fries were also great and came with a spicy ketchup. Third, the service was great. My server was attentive but not too much so. Bartender was also very friendly. Lastly, the brewery sits right along the river and is beautiful. There's a great beer garden with picnic tables if you're just getting beer and don't want a sit down meal. A great brewery to add to your list in Bend! read more

PARKING: There is a small private lot for you to park at. AMBIANCE: It is a casual restaurant. FOOD: I ordered the Chili soup which was solid. It was flavorful and has spicy kick to it. As for drinks, I got the Schnapps Hot Chocolate which is the perfect drink on a cold day. All of these was perfect for a cold evening dinner! (I believe I ordered these items from new or limited items during this time.) SERVICE: Service was great! Our server is always attentive: checked in with our group to make sure we are good + refilled our water. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're passing by, visiting, or even living in this cute town! read more

Is the patio open in the winter?
Yes, it is and they also have an open linear fire pit with some heated seats. The larger patio area is now enclosed in a tent.
