Kevin was great. Could have done my tow a lot different and charged a lot more but really helped me out. He was great at communication and was where he said when he said. This experience started OK as they were able to get the car out of the snow but then they said they could not take the car to a tire shop or anywhere on the planet except for their yard. It had to be brought back to their yard. At that moment I agreed as it was a time of chaos and we just needed it towed from where it was but just added more stress to the morning for us. We got the bill today and a $45 yard fee was added to our quote. Turns out they have a yard fee of $45 and that is for 24 hours. Our car was there 10 minutes. We were waiting when it was pulled in. We called and got told the fee was the fee and that's that. For 10 minutes. And then it got me thinking because in the past, maybe 4-6 times working towing companies, I've never been told that we could not have it towed somewhere. Why back to their yard? Isn't it just common sense that you are hiring a tow truck for a reason. To have it towed to your preferred destination? They did half of that. Oh and we paid for that... Highest towing bill we've ever gotten. It was snowing and they were busy. So not only did they not provide the service we needed, they fleeced us for another $45 on top of a huge towing bill. This is the worst customer service company in Bend and Kevin is not the nicest human in Bend either. Why would this company tow a car that was parked by DEQ Bend, next to Worthy brewery for 5 minutes and at 6:30pm on a Staturday night (6/18/22)? Why do you demand cash and cash only? so you can stick it your pocket and not pay taxes? Why $353 for very short tow, and cash but you do not give change? There were cars parked here the entire time while they ate, why were they not towed? You were not even back to your lot when my daughter called you and you said that you would not bring it back. This one HAG company and the Bend City should have some say into these shady practices. Bend is not the nicest place, used to be. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY they will rip you off. I am extremely disappointed at the level of service and communication provided by Bend Towing. My sister is a Bend local and we spent 4 days backpacking to return to a car with flat tire at a trailhead 30min from Sisters, OR. At 4pm we had several hours of daylight left to safely get back to town. We were unable to change the tire with the assistance of several people and walked 2 miles down the road to call the insurance company for roadside assistance. They connected us with Mike at Bend towing and we were given an ETA of 1 hour. We walked back to the car leaving one of us at the road to flag the truck. Again, my sister is a local and gave the dispatcher step by step instructions including mileage and road names to avoid confusion knowing we had no service. After 2 hours we were feeling strapped for time and unsure of what to do. One of us stayed at the trail still waiting for the truck and the other walked back 2 miles to check for service again. The insurance company notified us that Mike cancelled the job because he couldn't find it. My sister called Mike and we found out that instead of taking the step by step instructions she had provided, he assumed where we were and went to a very different location with a similar name. By the time my sister made it back to the trail head to notify me, it was 8:30pm. We had no food or water for another night, no service to call an Uber and no more daylight to safely walk back to get service. There were very few cars traveling by at that point as the sun had set. Fortunately a Good Samaritan that witnessed our distress was able to get us into the town of Sisters and we were able to arrange for another ride to Bend. Mike absolutely left us stranded. I would not recommend Bend Towing to anyone in the future. The following day we found Consolidated Towing Inc. They were able to use the exact same instructions to get the car and tow it to Bend WITHOUT US THERE. I would expect that in a tourist town so tied to the outdoors that this would be the level of responsiveness from all such Towing services. Stuck on the 126 when I got a call from AAA after 3 hours they told me they couldn't find a towing company under their coverage to come get me. I called Bend Towing & Recovery and they were there within 45 mins. Instead of spending the night sleeping in my car in a slow car turn out I was able to sleep in my warm bed. These guys were life saving. Couldn't recommend them anymore. read more

They were contacted by a company they contract with to give me a jump start on a dead battery. They 'would be there in 45 minutes'. Five minutes before they were to arrive I received a call that they had cancelled "because I was not in their service area". The company arranged for another contractor to help me out, who DID arrive another 45 minutes later. The 2nd driver came from 30 miles further away from me than Bend Towing! If this is their idea of Professional Service and Fastest Response (as listed on their website) they are in big trouble. read more
