There were about 4 or 5 tables to sit outside. The interior was clean and the aesthetics inside were cozy and eye pleasing. I ordered the Double Chowder Burger and the Mrs. got her Triple Chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Both were delicious i just wish the bread bowl was a bit softer. Looking forward to coming back and trying something new.

What a hidden gem and floating dive bar restaurant at the Leeward Bay Marina off the 47 freeway…read more The barge that it sits on dates back to 1935 where it was used to film "Mutiny on the Bounty". The restaurant itself is filled with lots of nautical themed momentos of the past. The Chowder Bar is renowned for their Boston-style clam chowder and it did not disappoint. Their clam chowder was one of the best that I've had outside of Boston. The chowder was rich with the right thick consistency and was chocked full of clams. A bowl would have satisfied me, but ordering only a cup, I also had their Fish Sandwich with deep fried cod. The cod was juicy and well breaded and seasoned. Their cole slaw was also very good. Service was adequate. Prices were reasonable. Parking is free and easy right out front of the gangway to the water and restaurant. Just don't miss the small sign and turnoff on Henry Ford Avenue close to and below the St. Vincent Thomas Bridge. Overall, the Chowder Barge is a great place to kick back and relax by the water with a beer and a hearty bowl of clam chowder.

Attended the Queen Mary Night Market summer events in 6/2024 …read more Lo and behold I spot Khin Khao amongst the crowd as one of the participants vendors . Of course my contemplation of what to eat has been decided. Khin Khao for the win , as always the friendly service and tasty food has remained consistent . My usual favorite from here are their mango sweet rice dessert , boat noodles and the beef salad . Others boat noodles are sweet , not at khin khao, their flavors was superb with a melding of savory goodness taste . Mango sweet rice dessert is a seasonal dish on their menu, I made sure to order a few container for the next day . ( depending on yellow mango season) definitely a must buy from them . Tip: when at home take out the sticky rice and steam until warm or a steam in the steamer. Pour in the sweet sauce into the warm rice mix well and eat with the mango . Yumm

It reminded me just like how my friends momma used to cook for me in high school. Taste brought back memories. Perfect char and smokey taste to beef as well. Pickled veg was also really good, not very sweet or bitter but a nice freshness with the beef. Similar to this white kimchi so I loved it! Can't wait to try their other menu options, but the skewers will not disappoint if you . I can't explain it but the seasoning on it is just amazing. Follow them on ig for event updates :)

The galbis with the sauce was that sauce was the highlight of our night, but the peach soju hits! Really appreciate Angelo, Jonathan, Brian and the rest of the staff for making our visit a great one. Both of my kids loved the food and were so happy, saying they wanted to come back again. And myself, the IPA beer was also fantastic. It had a wonderful aroma and tasted great! Honestly, after our experience at the GEN in Cerritos, I thought, "GEN is going downhill. We're not coming back." But our experience at the GEN in Torrance completely changed my mind. This location is definitely one we'll keep coming back to soon!

She was incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to work with, which meant so much during a difficult time. The day of the event couldn't have gone better. The staff was warm, friendly, efficient, and attentive, and everyone really helped make it feel like a heartfelt celebration rather than just another event. The food was great, the prices were very reasonable, and our guests had a wonderful time. We were so pleased with how everything came together. I'm very grateful to Tina and the entire team at 22nd Street Landing for helping make such an important day feel special. I would absolutely recommend them for a gathering, celebration, or just a great meal by the water.
