First time visiting was this past Saturday evening, 05-16-26. I pulled up around 5:15p. Plenty of parking was available. I like how it sits in the cut of the parking lot. I like the front entrance. They also have a side entrance but it's not as appealing to the eyes. A handful of tables outside in a patio area with a couple of TVs. When you walk in, it's like walking into a wine bar. At least that's the vibe I received. But it's a small family restaurant. Which is dope. Look like I arrived just in time for happy hour. The bar area gives this chill and intimate vibe especially with the many wine bottles being displayed. And the bartender is right there to service you with no problems. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Even the two older women who didn't decide to speak until Barbara the bartender sat a bit late of fried calamari in front of me lol. That indeed sparked great conversation amongst the 3 of us. Talking about calamari and sone other restaurants. I'm used to drinking my Moscow Mules out of copper cups so this grey one was different and it was smaller in size but the drink itself was definitely refreshing. Wasn't tryna rush it lol. And It's $7.20 during happy hour. The calamari for me could have been seasoned better or more. I also would've preferred it to be fried a lil bit longer. I love mines crispy or a lil bit hard and not so chewy. With that being said, Barbara said to let them know next time. However, I believe it's a popular item and I could see why, especially with the portion size. It's very generous indeed. For $10.80 I would too. Barbara made me a Mojito and it was perfect. Very refreshing. Took my time with that also lol. A price of $7.20 you can't beat that at all. Very good price I must add. I personally think and feel like the filet mignon tacos were fire. No lie. It was tender. It was flavorful. Good portion size. I liked the presentation and flavors coming from everything. They're not street tacos either lol I would definitely get those again but I think they're only available during happy hour. 2 tacos for $10.80 during happy is an awesome deal. Before I left I thanked everyone for their service and even had the opportunity to chop it up with some staff members. Everyone was real cool. Fasho fasho. I have been wanting to try their eggs Benedict. They offer more than a half dozen options. Those of you who know eggs Benedict know it's all about the hollandaise sauce. Seaside Bistro claims homemade hollandaise. It is TERRIBLE, and COLD! It is also too sweet. What? I make hollandaise from scratch and the ingredients are simple: egg yolks, lemon juice, butter, salt, pepper and a little cayenne. I doubt that it was made scratch "in house", maybe they had a starter that they stirred together so they can say "homemade." Any way it was horrible, too thin, too sweet, not enough acid and not warm. The English muffin, ham, eggs and potatoes were good though. We were the only people in the restaurant at 9:30am and the service was lacking. Our server was on her phone and never came to check on us. We had to yell for her attention. I really enjoy this location. I often visit with one of my best friend. We have had a few appetizers and some entrées and I tend to love their French onion soup. The quick to making sure your glasses are always full. The staff is very pleasant. The food portions are very large and the price is pretty typical for the style food. It's mellow and quiet probably needs a little updating with the decor but as long as the food, good and hot that doesn't matter. read more

This is our second year here for Veteran's day. Last year I came and I was preggies and I loved how they took care of me and my family. My husband and family spent our day in San Pedro celebrating our Veteran's Day so we decided to head back. The experience was just as good. I enjoyed the ahi tuna but I would recommend the calamari more. I loved the scallop entree and my son loved his quesadilla and fries. My husband was happy with his steak . We found this cozy little restaurant while visiting San Pedro last Friday. We wanted fish and this place ended up being perfect. We spent a while here, just enjoying the ambiance. We sat outdoors, and even though it was a hot day, a little breeze was coming up through South Shores. The bread that came with our pasta dishes was so good. The shrimp scampi I highly recommend the shrimp scampi, but beware it is enough for two people to share. The portions are very generous here from the 8 ounce wine pour to our appetizer of fried calamari - all was so generous and tasty. This restaurant is located in the corner of a Vons strip mall. Not too crowded for brunch during the week. There's seating outdoors on the sidewalk. I sat indoors, in a booth. The place is not that large inside, and you do forget you're in a strip mall. Not much ambiance though. I ordered the fresh fruit waffle and coffee. The waffle came with fresh bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. The waffle was a little chewy. No non dairy creamer available for coffee. Service was efficient. read more

This is a curious restaurant. First of all, when you come up to it, it has a very inviting exterior. But, after that, the positivity of this restaurant kind of diminishes. To first describe the seating arrangements for this restaurant, the interior is fairly small, there are booths along one wall, a long seating area, with several tables, on the other wall, and a few central tables. They additionally have a small bar area. They also have a large outdoor seating area, where I would suggest sitting. The problem I see with this interior seating of this restaurant is that you feel very claustrophobic, at least I do, sitting at the tables inside of this restaurant because there's absolutely no windows. It feels very closed in. In terms of their food, it all seems to be well prepared, using quality ingredients. They have a fairly large menu, with a lot of things to choose from. Most of the stuff they offer is what is commonly found in other cafés of this caliber. From my experience, the staff here are all very friendly and very helpful, and they do their job very well. The one thing I did not like, however, the last time I was eating here, is that they brought my wife her meal several minutes before they brought me mine. I don't know, it just seems like the chefs are lacking some sort of organizational skills to treat their customers in this manner. But, that's just my appraisal. For some, I'm sure they love this restaurant. This is just something you will have to decide for yourself, if you ever choose to come here. read more

Our server served our drinks then my kids something with the food served our plates then the kids last. As far as the food goes the steak was super chewy and tough not even enjoyable. French toast was alright super sweet with sweet cream drizzle powered sugar just a little too much for breakfast. Came here with my family. We were a group of 12 with my aunts and cousins... The food was good overall. Everyone seemed happy with what they ordered. The appetizers were great. We had raw oysters, Rockefeller oysters and calamari. Some of the main course items were slightly salty. Oddly, the kitchen felt the need to draw Seaside on each plate. When you first enter, there is an enclosed outside sitting area just in case your furbabies are joining you. The atmosphere is a casual beachy boutique vibe. We ordered the following; Medium rare steak sandwich on a roll smothered with mushrooms and garlic butter with a salad. This was 5 stars! Completely mouthwatering! The steak was well marinated and tender. It paired perfectly with the sauteed mushrooms in the soft warm roll. Chicken fried steak with crunchy hash browns, scrambled eggs with cheese and a well toasted English muffin. 5 stars again!!! The chicken fried steak was well seasoned and solid. It definitely was made with more meat than fillers (unlike other restaurants). The gravy tasted like actual country gravy and not salt. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and fully cooked. The eggs were made with beaters, so they were okay tasting but cooked right! The English muffins were buttered and grilled. So good! The mango mimosa was given a 4 by hubby. He said it needed more mango and needed to be chilled a bit more. The coffee? Definitely fresh and tasted like smooth coffee. Not one hint of bitterness and it wasn't watered down. This is a small cozy restaurant tucked into the corner of 25th and Western that you would never notice if somebody didn't point it out to you. A friend of mine suggested it for dinner and I tried the shrimp scampi. I've had shrimp scampi in a number of places and none of them are any good. This one was exactly the right flavor, reminiscent of Cigos in San Pedro. If anybody remembers that far back. It was so good. I took a different friend there the next night and still ordered the shrimp scampi. My friend ordered some seafood dish with pasta. And she said that was good. We were there early, shortly after they opened. The wait staff was attentive and on top of things. The food didn't take forever to fix and bring out. But more than anything, the shrimp scampi was to die for. I highly recommend it. read more

We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer which I found very good. So we were off to a good start then I ordered French onion soup and recommended by the waitress the nachos.. my husband ordered his usual double hamburger and paid extra to get a baked potato instead of french fries. The soup was flavorless and the cheese mozzarella maybe one slice of Swiss I'm not sure but it wasn't tasty. Nachos were thin and had way too much going on for my taste. I sent them back.. My husband's hamburger was decent and he liked the fluffiness of the baked potato. However, he asked me to taste it. There was zero flavor.. no salt no salt on the table just a fluffy potato. I'm going with 5 stars but really more like 4.5. Went here for breakfast with family so 6 of us. It was Father's Day so inside and out was busy AF. They were very accommodating and the servers did a fantastic job. The table had chorizo and eggs, chile quiles hash browns and home fried potatoes and bacon sausage (chubby link and patty). All breakfast meats were excellent as were the cinnamon rolls pancakes. Also had some French toast. Some things were slightly better than others. Coffee was solid and they kept it filled. What a great restaurant tucked between 25th and Western in SP. It is very casual so you can feel very relaxed meeting friends, a date or after work. The warm bread they serve is delicious. I had a lemon chicken dish which was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. A nice size portion as well. It came with an assortment of vegetables that were tender yet crunchy. Our waitress was wonderful. Very professional and helpful. My husband and friends loved their entrees too. The beef stroganoff was tender and flavorful. We ate here for breakfast. Called ahead for a reservation and was pleasantly surprised to see they had actually reserved a booth with menus ready to go when we arrived. The interior is small but cozy and there is an outdoor patio with about six more tables adjacent to the parking lot. Parking is free in the strip mall parking lot (same strip mall as Vons). The selection of menu items for breakfast was impressive with everything from omelets (many kinds) to benedicts (several kinds) to traditional breakfasts to burritos to pancakes and waffles, to oatmeal. There's even a seperate menu listing healthier items. There's also a kid's breakfast menu. Service was very good and our customized meals came customized correctly. Restrooms are singles and were very clean. Prices are definitely reasonable for the portion sizes and it appears they can accommodate larger groups (although I'd call ahead to make sure). read more

I'm from out of town and the name implies near the seaside... but my husband needed food and once we arrived and I realized the sea was but a dream... we ate as 4.5 stars for this restaurant. Food was presented beautifully. My husband's chicken avocado salad was very good. My Burrata salad looked promising, but the beets were canned. The taste and texture was just like canned beets. He said the burrito was very tasty w bacon eggs potato's and cheese. Mine was some thick slices of good French toast w crispy bacon and eggs to order. The syrup is nice and think. Very tasty.
