    Cheese Quesadilla with Fries Kid's

This is our second year here for Veteran's day. Last year I came and I was preggies and I loved how they took care of me and my family. My husband and family spent our day in San Pedro celebrating our Veteran's Day so we decided to head back. The experience was just as good. I enjoyed the ahi tuna but I would recommend the calamari more. I loved the scallop entree and my son loved his quesadilla and fries. My husband was happy with his steak . The service was welcoming and so friendly . I believe our server was Barbara. I didn't get her name but that's what is on the cashier name Let's hope I got it right. Either way we had an amazing evening .

This place epitomizes the current state of dining out. High prices, small portions, poor quality of food and non-attentive service. Our breakfast was tasteless and resembled something you would receive at a hospital cafeteria. In addition, the tables are too small for the booths. You have to sit on the edge of the seat to be close enough to reach the plate. Never again.

We found this cozy little restaurant while visiting San Pedro last Friday. We wanted fish and this place ended up being perfect. We spent a while here, just enjoying the ambiance. We sat outdoors, and even though it was a hot day, a little breeze was coming up through South Shores. The bread that came with our pasta dishes was so good. The shrimp scampi I highly recommend the shrimp scampi, but beware it is enough for two people to share. The portions are very generous here from the 8 ounce wine pour to our appetizer of fried calamari - all was so generous and tasty. Our waitress Emily was very patient and kind courteous and professional.

This restaurant is located in the corner of a Vons strip mall. Not too crowded for brunch during the week. There's seating outdoors on the sidewalk. I sat indoors, in a booth. The place is not that large inside, and you do forget you're in a strip mall. Not much ambiance though. I ordered the fresh fruit waffle and coffee. The waffle came with fresh bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. The waffle was a little chewy. No non dairy creamer available for coffee. Service was efficient.

Service was a wee bit slow, I believe if there is children at the table they should be served first. Our server served our drinks then my kids something with the food served our plates then the kids last. As far as the food goes the steak was super chewy and tough not even enjoyable. French toast was alright super sweet with sweet cream drizzle powered sugar just a little too much for breakfast. Maybe if you're just planning to get a basic eggs, bacon and potatoes go here.

Came here with my family. We were a group of 12 with my aunts and cousins... The food was good overall. Everyone seemed happy with what they ordered. The appetizers were great. We had raw oysters, Rockefeller oysters and calamari. Some of the main course items were slightly salty. Oddly, the kitchen felt the need to draw Seaside on each plate. We did not really like the desserts. Desserts didn't really taste all that good. Our server was excellent. Overall we had a good time.

Love this place! Great service, food, atmosphere, everything. I had the french onion soup and french dip sandwich, it was really good. The soup had lots of cheese on it and the sandwich was perfect and very filling. I definitely plan on coming back!

My sisters and I went there as I was craving a burger. My sisters recommended this place. We all ordered the burger during happy hour and got 40% off. The burgers were big, cheesy and juicy. The accompanying fries were very good. I would definitely go back.

The Seared Scallop dish was delicious, and as an appetizer I had the French Onion Soup!!! The service was amazing and the chefs prepared everything quickly!! Great spot to have our mini family reunion!

Seafood Linguini- a great way to have a little bit of everything yummy! The shrimp were ginormous!

A quaint romantic spot with family vibes. Our server Melanie was friendly and knowledgeable she quickly explained the wine list and helped us identify a white wine we liked, an obvious pro! Delicious fresh bread when we sat down, we had the grilled artichoke, seafood linguini and cioppino. Food was outstanding and the linguini was a large enough portion that I had plenty of leftovers! First time there and we will be back to try the lunch menu! Thanks to the staff for making us feel very welcome.

I do not mind spending $750 for a meal but between the horrible service and the inability for the manager to do the right thing my the evening unenjoyable and I would recommend everyone stay as far away as possible. i thing my biggest issue is that the manager acknowledged the lobster may be spoiled but still left it on the bill. if you see all my previous reviews i usually never go negative but this place is horrible.

Would I say they have the best prime rib around? No. But it is pretty damn satisfying. When here, I always order the Franciscan cut Prime Rib cooked to medium (it's 3/4 pounds), house salad with ranch dressing, and steak fries. They throw in a loaf of sourdough bread with whipped butter. The prime rib is very tender and has plenty of fat. We all know fat equals flavor. The only thing I would change about it, and I keep forgetting to ask the server each time I'm here, is to have it served without the au jus already in the plate. Don't get me wrong. The au jus is fantastic, but when the prime rib is served in a pool of it, the meat becomes soggy. Served separately, I think the prime rib would be even better. In addition to the prime rib, the salad and steak fries are incredibly delicious. The salad is nothing fancy, but very tasty due to the ranch dressing it comes with. Wish I knew the recipe of the dressing. The steak fries pair perfectly with the prime rib. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only thing I would say is pretty average is the sourdough bread. Although it comes out warm, I don't get the sense that they're freshly baked. The service here is phenomenal. The servers are attentive, polite, and efficient. Can't ask for anything more from them. If you're looking for a trendy spot with contemporary decor and pretentious vibes, this place is not for you. This is an old school steakhouse with red upholstered booths and soft music playing in the background. If you live in the South Bay, and you're looking for a classic prime rib experience, this is a place you should check out.

When I first started coming here, the smallest cut was only $25, which felt like an incredible deal. Prices have gone up over the years, and it's now $37 for the smallest cut, but even with the increase, it's a place I continue to return to because the quality and experience have remained consistently good. I always order the prime rib medium rare with the soup and French fries. The prime rib is consistently delicious, flavorful, and tender, with a rich beefy flavor that really hits the spot. It's cooked just the way I like it, and every visit reminds me why I've been coming back for so many years. The portions are generous, and the meal is satisfying from start to finish. One of the things I appreciate most about this restaurant is its classic atmosphere. The interior feels like a step back in time, with an old-school charm that is becoming harder to find these days. It has the feel of a traditional steakhouse from the 1960s, and the nostalgic vibe adds a lot to the overall dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and appreciate a piece of local history. There is a parking lot available, which is definitely a plus, although it can be surprisingly easy to miss if you're visiting for the first time. Just keep an eye out as you're approaching the restaurant. While I miss the days when the prime rib was only $25, I understand that prices have gone up everywhere. The fact that I've continued coming here for six years says a lot about how much I enjoy the food and atmosphere. If you've never been and you're a fan of prime rib, this is a spot that's well worth checking out at least once. Chances are you'll find yourself planning a return

Tomas was able to help me pick out a wine that paired well with the dish I wanted to try out which was the beef bourgignon. FYI they have a small bar with beers and authentic French wines - absolutely lovely! The dish was delicious and I really loved the atmospheres which made me feel like I was back in Paris. Highly recommend to anyone looking to escape the busy LA scene.

Oooh la la....a French bistro in San Pedro! Well, obviously we had to try it out. Compagnon oozes…read moretraditional French decor, an umbrella covered patio outside, a cosy bistro with full bar inside, and the comprehensive wine list decorating the wall, by the glass and the bottle. Like most French bistro they have a shorter but traditional menu, with the usual suspects - onion soup, pate, escargot, charcuterie board, mussels, steak frites, Bouillabaisse - but what drew us in was the duck confit cassoulet. We have eaten cassoulet in Carcasonne, the home of cassoulet, and this was definitely worthy of the name. Gamey, savoury, duck falling off the bone, beans swimming in an umami broth, definitely lip lickingly good. However the vegetarian cassoulet was not as flavourful, it was nice, but needed more garlic, pepper, some herbs or seasoning, a little more oomph. The fennel was delish, but the beans bordering on bland and there was very little broth to dip my baguette into. With a belly full of beans we decided to order dessert because why not! Life is short, eat dessert, c'est la vie. Creme brulee was creamy with a tappingly good sugar crust, and the chocolate mousse had a nice consistency but was overwhelmed by cinnamon, which was a pity. It was definitely worth the visit for the Duck cassoulet, and we will visit again to try the onion soup and moules.

I was genuinely surprised - nearly scandalized - by how difficult it was to find a neighborhood…read morestronghold that not only knew what a Rusty Nail was, but also carried the Drambuie to make it correctly. This place did not merely have the ingredients - it had the reverence. Justin mixed it with the calm precision of a man who understands that some drinks are not trends, but traditions. "Ah yes... the Rusty Nail," say some. "Old, Archaic, Weathered," say others. Let them speak. It is one of the oldest cocktails in recorded history. Gifted by Bonnie Prince Charlie to Clan McKinnon, Drambuie has been cherished and revered in the Highlands since the mists of time gathered - borne through glens, over bens, and carried through generations of clansmen. It is not for the timid. It is for those who have watched storms roll in, seen vast armies gather, and still laughed in the face of death - because they know that their bloodlines are carved from stone. For after all - The strength, courage, and battle across centuries cannot be wrong. Drambuie warms this Highlander's heart . Sweet as legend, fierce as loyalty - akin to firelight of a distant hall hidden in misty glens. Aye... the Rising of the '45 is a tale for another night. But this night belongs to the Rusty Nail.

They gave very generous salad portions The grilled salmon was good, well cooked and flavorful. The green beans were definitely overcooked. The ribeye was good (needed some salt though) definitely better with the horseradish than the chimichurri. The ribeye with chimichurri was a special, but the chimichurri did not have much flavor. The baked potato was good, the mash potatoes were ok, I expected a stronger garlic flavor. The shrimp was flavorful but overcooked. The mac n cheese was not creamy, it seemed like just cheese and noodles. Very oily but a generous portion. Overall the best food imo was the mushrooms and salmon. The service was very slow, but they were understaffed so our waitress seemed to be doing all of the work. She was very apologetic about it This place is very old school, and definitely appeals to an older crowd.
