I'm no bbq expert in the least, but I know flavor and honestly the food was lacking. It had a great smoke flavor but that's it. I didn't taste the rub or seasoning on any of the meats. I got the brisket, ribs and wings. The brisket was very fatty. It was tender and dry? At the same time? Idk. All fully covered in bbq sauce. I don't like my meats smothered in sauce, I prefer it on the side. I'm a dry rub lover and if I want to dip in sauce, I'll do it at my leisure, had I known I would've requested it on the side only. But that's where the customer service comes in, neither the two ladies who helped were very welcoming or inviting. I've been to several places where you walk in and immediately you're greeted and felt welcomed. Not here. Not one smile, not one "hi, how are you doing." One of the ladies, the younger one gave me a very quiet "thank you, have a nice day." Idk maybe it was bc it was the end of the day and maybe they've had a busy day? But I've seen reviews where the customer service sounds fairly similar to my experience. I wish they would let you know everything comes swimming in sauce unless requested otherwise. Now to the sides.. The Mac n cheese was sad.. I'm sorry but if I'm paying $5 and some change, I hope the container is FULL and flavorful. It was grated cheese and noodles. Not a tsp. of flavor. The collard greens were SALTY. A little hint of spice, but man that salt was like a punch to the face. nothing special to them. No meat in there or anything. Just greens in salt water. Honestly after the customer service experience and pricing, I drove home thinking man. "This better be worth it." And it was not. I'm glad I got 1/2 of this meal on the Too Good app but saw the portion and lack of verity and thought "I have try something else while I'm here." The description on the app made it seem like I was getting a nice verity of meats and sides, or even one of their MANY deserts just sitting out. But no. And I FULLY regret buying anything aside from what I got from the Too Good app. Honestly I wouldn't come back. But you know to each their own, there a plenty of reviews on here that say otherwise. The BBQ here at Twin Smokehouse is very good. There was a couple of things I has issues with. 1st of all I had ordered a whole chicken and I received a very large Breast, and a couple of dry thighs and some wing pieces the small drum piece, this is what I received for a whole chicken, and the 2nd thing that I had issues with was the spicy wings, I assumed that the order of 10 wings would be whole wings not 10 pieces of wings and it wasn't even 5 flats and 5 drums, it was mostly drums. Now, the ribs were great, loved them. I called and complained about the whole chicken and I was able to get another one with fresh not all dried out meat. The pickup line is where the wait comes from. The wait isn't that bad, depending on what and how much they have of it. The lady that takes the order, boy she don't play, ok! Don't come up to the counter if you don't know what you want. Stand back and take it all in because when you come up to order, she going to want the order fast and simple. I understand, she does do multiple things and she has to make sure orders are ready to go. The food is amazing. I only eat chicken, so I go for the dinner plate with chicken wings or chicken links with my 2 sides, sometimes I get three (I add an extra side). The greens are not my favorite but I know some southerners would be in love with them. The greens are a little too earthly for me. Now those YAMS! Those yams are delicious, it was cooked perfectly and it could taste the butter. I was scraping the small bowl!
