This past Sunday the energy of who I think was one of the twins wasn't exactly rude, but totally less than warm or inviting, especially as a first time customer. Not sure if it was because I was the first customer of the day or what, but the portions of meat were very good for the 3 item combo I ordered. The sides were fresh and decent sizes as well. For me, there was way too much sauce for my liking, but the tenderness of the meat and general flavor was good, as well as the pricing. There was a couple of things I has issues with. 1st of all I had ordered a whole chicken and I received a very large Breast, and a couple of dry thighs and some wing pieces the small drum piece, this is what I received for a whole chicken, and the 2nd thing that I had issues with was the spicy wings, I assumed that the order of 10 wings would be whole wings not 10 pieces of wings and it wasn't even 5 flats and 5 drums, it was mostly drums. Now, the ribs were great, loved them. I called and complained about the whole chicken and I was able to get another one with fresh not all dried out meat. Let me just say when I was driving over to this spot, I drove passed it twice, It's a little hole in the wall, so slow down and park in front. That's the only place I park. Now it's never packed when I come, because people order over the phone, and some days I be jealous, lol. I want my food to come out quick too! People came in and out to get there food. The pickup line is where the wait comes from. The wait isn't that bad, depending on what and how much they have of it. The lady that takes the order, boy she don't play, ok! Don't come up to the counter if you don't know what you want. Stand back and take it all in because when you come up to order, she going to want the order fast and simple. I understand, she does do multiple things and she has to make sure orders are ready to go. The food is amazing. I only eat chicken, so I go for the dinner plate with chicken wings or chicken links with my 2 sides, sometimes I get three (I add an extra side). The greens are not my favorite but I know some southerners would be in love with them. The greens are a little too earthly for me. Now those YAMS! Those yams are delicious, it was cooked perfectly and it could taste the butter. I was scraping the small bowl!
