Got the Senior Gourmet Breakfast ($14.99). Very good breakfast. Good quality ingredients. The hash browns were crispy. The pancakes had a nice griddle cook and texture. Service was very friendly and prompt. The coffee was a nice medium roast. They leave a decanter of coffee on the table for self pour. That decanter really keeps the coffee hot. On my third pour, the coffee was still steaming. They do have their own parking lot. I went on a Saturday morning around 09:30. When I got there, there were 3 parking spaces available.

Hot coffee was waiting for us on the table upon arrival. This place has everything you could possibly want for brunch. The kindest staff. They are so on the ball. Food was delicious We even had someone that wanted chocolate chip pancakes. Order their chocolate, chocolate chip pancakes. Never seen anything like that. If you are a chocolate fan you must try them.

I've wanted to experience this restaurant via Ubereats delivery for quite sometime but kept ordering from other places that I wanted to review as well. It's time came on 11/23/24 and I decided to order from a research of Yelp.com reviews the "Lumberjack" breakfast item. I did call the restaurant after placing my order to make sure the special instructions section was understood- Gabriella confirmed that fact for me. Lumberjack comes with biscuit and gravy, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 pieces of ham and 2 pancakes. I also ordered a large OJ as well. Everything was well prepared, good portions and tasty- the pancakes were good but not the standout of this entree. I didnt have the privilege to experience the ambiance of the restaurant due to my delivery but when it was IHOP it was nice and from inside recent photos now it appears brighter and nicer now. Next on the dining list is to order- the Senior Pot Roast and the Ribeye Steak Combo (I prefer my steaks prepared Extra Well Done/Butterflied) so those items will hopefully be ordered individually in the coming months. Again the "5 Star Rating" was assisted by the excellent customer service- when reading special instructions- since sometimes the dining establishment- accidentally forgets to read them.

The lumberjack! Should call it the lumberjack for two!

This place is great! Service was excellent and the space has been updated and is clean and comfortable. Even on Sundays for breakfast around 10:30 it was busy but place is large enough so that we didn't have to wait. Coffee was excellent with the refill carafe of coffee left on the table (I love that). For the lumberjack and it's enough for two. I did share with my wife and just ordered an extra two eggs over easy. Hash browns are perfect and ample, biscuits and gravy super moist and fork tender. Good sausage, bacon and ham. Scrambled eggs seems like 3-4 not two! The pancakes were good but non memorable. OJ not fresh but not bad and not expensive like fresh OJ. Place doesn't have the cool vibe of cache like the crappy over rated omelette parlor but it's got a family friendly vibe. Going back with the breakfast soon and might even go for an early senior dinner!!!

Clean, fast, simple. Good portions. Food is very basic but sometimes that's all you need to fill a craving. The hollandaise sauce was kinda sour and odd tasting but the rest was fine. Lots of parking.

2 nights in a row for dinner here, in town for work for the week, and solid both nights. The food is delicious and the ambiance is chill they rock out to the 1960's. Shocking no one comes for dinner, but it's there loss. Place is well worth the visit

Food: here you'll see decent portions and cooking done fairly, I haven't had a raw or burnt meal in my handful of visits.. Service: usually good, polite people, they come around enough or at least it's a small enough joint that finding a server to help isn't difficult. Prices: are what you'll find everywhere nowadays.. it comes down to If you have the bucks to spend, then go for it. It feels like a spot for the community, a neutral gathering place for a nice hot meal.. when you don't want to cook at home... bc a lot of the menu is home cooking style nothing fancy.

Food was good .. small parking lot .. big choice for breakfast and lunch menu with pictures on the menu very nice.. server was as a little slow but was still good. Recommended for pancake waffle or your breakfast cravings if in the area.

I had been wanting to try this place for sometime since I seen it open, so finally had the chance to do so. The service was friendly and prompt. Coffee was brought out quick to the table and the coffee pot was left there so we could refill it at our own pace which I thought was pretty cool. The inside was homey, albeit a little warm. I was excited for the food, it was good and filling but nothing special, similar to Dennys. Overall, a decent spot for coffee and pancakes (which are kind of on the pricier side by the way).

Finally decided to try this place last week. Upon entering, there is plenty of parking and the place was pretty empty for a weekday morning. The staff welcomed us right away and sat us down immediately. We ordered a breakfast skillet, pancakes, simple breakfast plate, and a veggie omelet. Everything was decently tasty, not the best ever but still filling. What surprised me was how mediocre the pancakes are. For the name, i expected way better but it tasted a bit undercooked. They have an array of fruit syrups on the table which was a nice touch. Staff was super friendly and accommodating with our child.

We were thrilled to see a few menu options that were marked as vegan. Bonus points for being affordable! I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time. I left feeling so uplifted and relaxed all at the same time. Despite it being on the noisier side, I was still able to hear my friend well and it was such a great place for us to catch up. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

I ordered the pastrami on rye (basically a Reuben) which was good. I wish it had more meat and it was half sliced, half chopped. Theirs seems to be all chopped up and crisped, which gives it a nice texture and almost bacon-y vibe. Messy but good. I had a side salad which was also good. Overall our meal was great and there were TVs visible from anywhere you sat, which is perfect for a sports bar. My big gripe is being charged $1 for pickles to go with a sandwich. Maybe you get more if they put them directly on the sandwich, but they forgot mine so the pickles came in a ramekin. 6 pickle slices for $1.

My wife and I had an enjoyable breakfast experience, tasting some unique dishes that are worth coming in for. We had a real early errand in the Lomita area, so wanted to take advantage by trying a different breakfast place. They have a really informative website, explaining the owning family's participation and how some of their food is sourced. It's a brunch place (open from 8 am to 2/3 pm, Tu-Su), so needed to wait a bit outside (street parking only, found one hour free parking right in front since coming so early). Menus are available at the front counter, and you place and pay (clover) for your order first. The food came out soon after, delivered to your table. There is a self-serve water jug in the same area as take-as-you-need take-out containers (also saw a self-serve costco-size plastic wrap box for wrapping...such a Korean thing to do). Utensils and napkins are available at the table to take for need. I really like places like this that have optimized the service experience, getting what you need without having to track someone down. Forking Around's Filipino Burrito ($18.95) - a collab with the food influencer 'Forking Around' to put into a breakfast burrito, many common ingredients from a Filipino breakfast. This includes egg, garlic fried rice as base and a vegetable lumpia with longanisa pieces, wrapped in a good flour tortilla. Sides were both a cilantro lime crema and a well made sawsawan. The sausage was not too sweet nor too red (though perhaps a bit too meatloaf-like), and the lumpia in the burrito worked for me. Korean Breakfast with bulgogi and steamed rice ($19.95) - it was served in a cast-iron skillet and the pan had been heated up greatly...super hot when served and still warm by the time we left. The flavor of the bulgogi was solid, and I loved the presentation. Taco Truck Burrito ($17.95) - korean-style al pastor pork, with pineapple and kimchi fried rice and egg. It was good....forgot to ask if the meat was really cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Came with a good chipotle salsa and lime crema. We were done in 30 minutes, from entry to exit. It wasn't too busy, so asked the front-of-house lead where the longanisa sausage and lumpia were made...she stated that it was all in-house. That's really impressive, making an ingredient from scratch that is only used in one dish. This and the elegant presentation and longevity really shows that the entire team behind bites & bashes cafe (catering) knows what they are doing.

We ordered a $13.99 personal meal. My wife had the mac & cheese with a salad, and I had the combo pizza with a Caesar salad. We added two drinks for $1.99 each and shared a nutty coleslaw. I was surprised at how large the "personal size" mac & cheese was -- it was very generous. We ended up sharing the pizza, mac & cheese, and coleslaw and still had plenty of food. The meal also came with two personal-size carrot cakes, which we took home for the next day. Even sharing just one was more than enough. Everything was delicious, but the carrot cake really stood out. Super moist, full of carrots and chunks of pineapple, and topped with an amazing cream cheese frosting. The menu says it's made from scratch, and it definitely tasted homemade. Definitely recommend! **After reading some of the 3 and 1 reviews, I'm hoping to have an equally positive experience on my next visit.

Service was great, staff was nice and the place looks good. That's where the positives end unfortunately. The food was honestly terrible. -Mashed potatoes tasted straight out of a packet--gooey, liquidy and cheap. -Breadsticks were weirdly loaded with Parmesan and missing the usual garlic flavor. -Salad was chopped into oblivion no reason. -The tri-tip easily the worst I've ever had from Stonefire. Rubbery, badly seasoned, and felt like low-quality meat. Completely different from what they serve at other locations. -BBQ sauce was off. Way too much black pepper to the point it made me cough. It's definitely not the original sauce. This didn't feel like Stonefire. It felt like a completely different restaurant trying to pass as Stonefire. Really disappointing.

It was a nice presentation and full experience. We enjoyed the cotton candy wagyu, prior to having our tasty ribeye with the truffle potatoes. Ending dinner with crème brûlée cheesecake, matcha parfait and some vanilla ice cream. I'd definitely recommend everyone to try the cotton candy wagyu, it was a fun, tasty bite. The ribeye was amazing, flavorful and just the right size. The truffle potatoes were shared, which means it was a generous portion. I could have eaten it all by myself of how tasty they were-lol. The service was great, from host to servers. Very friendly and polite. Plenty of parking is available considering it's in a small shopping center. I'm not much of an alcohol drinker, however notice they had a nice bar, with hooks for the ladies to store their purse while there. Overall, a nice place to enjoy a tasty meal!

The Food Library was an interesting experience, and one that left me a bit conflicted…read more The service was excellent from start to finish. The dining room is relatively small, with roughly 10 to 15 tables, and the two employees working the floor were hustling all evening and did a genuinely nice job taking care of everyone. The food itself was solid. The standout dish of the night was actually the grilled asparagus, which came with a soy-based preparation that was absolutely outstanding, perfectly tender and cooked just right. The wedge salad was also very good, and both the 16oz ribeye@$86, and the 8oz filet mignon @$76 were well prepared and enjoyable. Where things became more complicated for me was the overall value proposition. The prices are undeniably steep, especially for Lomita. Whenever I dine somewhere upscale, I inevitably ask myself whether, for the same money, I would have rather gone somewhere else. In this case, the answer was yes. I was also a bit disappointed to discover that there is no full bar. The restaurant seems to steer guests toward wine and sake, with only a handful of beer options available. Unfortunately, the first two beers I ordered, an IPA and then a Modelo, both on the menu, both out of stock, which certainly didn't help my overall impression. The dining room itself felt somewhat drab, all black walls, and lacked the refinement that I would expect at this price point. Dark walls and a crystal chandelier create an interesting contrast, but small details stood out for the wrong reasons. For example, I noticed exposed holes in the bar where a purse hook or latch had apparently been relocated. It may seem minor, but details like that matter when you're charging premium prices. At the end of the night, my wife and I walked out more than $300 lighter. While the food was undeniably good and the service was attentive, the experience simply didn't feel like a $300 evening to us. Overall, The Food Library delivers quality food and hardworking service, but for the price, I left wishing the atmosphere and overall experience matched the bill a bit more closely.
