The woman who did my facial took the time to examine my skin before beginning and helped me understand which skin type I have. I felt very taken care of during the facial, and felt very relaxed afterward. My skin felt very calm. Once the facial was complete, she was able to recommend products and provide me with samples to try out before committing to purchase. I really appreciated this because I have acne prone skin and it's awful to commit to buying a product that ends up causing breakouts immediately. Despite this, the clinic proceeded with treatment immediately -- without any preparation or stabilization. The external cooling device (normally used for safety) was skipped because it was being used on another patient. The result: severe swelling, burning, and a pustular facial flare with no improvement. Later, the clinic's own nurse admitted that proceeding without proper skin preparation was not the right clinical decision. Additional issues: * Skincare products were pushed into the package despite my warning of prior bad reactions * I was told it was a "new formula" -- I then had the same reaction again * When I cancelled further sessions due to safety concerns, the clinic refused to refund the unused balance I was charged full tax upfront for the entire package (confirming it was sold as a package), then it was later reclassified as a "single session" to justify keeping my money. Total lost: $1,150 This felt driven by sales, not medical judgment. Unsafe practices and zero accountability. I would strongly advise others to be cautious.
