The clinic is clean and has a helpful staff. The receptionist is stern without being disrespectful in case the clinic is not able to accommodate you. I came here for microdermabrasion treatments, facials, and RMT and the reviews for each are as follows: Micro - 5 stars!! Very thorough and attentive to your needs. If they think its not doing the job right, they'll turn up the power and if they see your skin is reacting negatively, they'll turn it down. - I was having a bad week and acne was showing up, the receptionist recommended I do an IPL (laser) treatment to treat the bacteria causing the acne since a micro might actually help spread it around the rest of my face. It was really hot but it totally worked :) - the employees are knowledgable and very kind Facials - 3.5 stars... - they use good products but are a little sloppy - they leave you in the room to treat another customer and you aren't sure when they'll be back - this might not be a good idea for you if you are on a tight schedule... - I've even fallen asleep during one haha RMT - 2 stars (because I'm nice) - I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and get chronic back pains so I thought I'd try out their massages. I got a package with 3 treatments so I could get a free micro+facial. The lady who worked on me was sort of big and I was excited because I like my massages to deep to work out those knots! PROS I've been to Body and Soul Clinic for roughly 10 visits. The first 7 visits were for lower leg laser hair removal. At first I just wanted to try it out to see how effective it was. I was very happy with the results, and decided to do my upper legs as well. After completing the 7 treatments on my lower legs, i have noticed a dramatic reduction in the amount of hair i have. it has not been permanently removed, but it has significantly decreased to the point that i would say i am 100% satisfied. The staff are pretty friendly and they have just moved to a new office which is very new and comfortable. CONS The huge downside to this place is the amount of time i spend waiting for my appointment!!! Almost every single time, i have had to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours after my appointment time. They are not very organized in this sense. The one day i waited for 2 hours and got extremely angry, and they told me that next time i should just call ahead to see if they are running on schedule. Before i made my way to my next appointment which was at 3:30, i called and they said they were running about 10 minutes late so i could just come in 10 minutes later than my scheduled appointment time. I did that, but was extremely annoyed when i arrived that i still had to wait another 45 minutes, and on top of that, they took in another person who had an appointment at 4:00pm! I was speaking to another client in the waiting room and she also mentioned that she has had similar experiences to mine and that she was glad it was her last appointment because she was never going back BOTTOM LINE Excellent results but at a huge time cost! I Attended this clinic for the first time for laser on my lower legs. The clinic itself is in a commercial building so it's easy to miss it off the main road. You may have to do a U-turn like I did if you do miss it. Once in the building you take the stairs to the 3rd floor. Inside the clinic it is quite plain, not much to see. There was a bit of a wait at the counter but the ladies were mostly pleasant. The laser itself was more painful than I thought it would be. I have done laser before but not on my legs. Since there is more muscle I thought I wouldn't feel the pain as much. The technician was somewhat informative. She applied the gel to my legs and gave me the eyewear... Although I noticed she did not wear any herself. For the first half I was on my back and she applied the wand several times in a back and forth motion over my legs. Although the gel was cold the wand tip was quite hot. It felt like a curling iron was being rubbed back and forth along my legs. One thing I did not like is that she used a wood wand to scrape the used gel from one leg and applied it to my other leg before applying the laser. It was very uncomfortable. I think the clinic could instruct their technicians to use new gel for each limb. I think using new gel from the bottle would make the process a bit easier to endure as it is colder from the bottle to help ease the pain from the heat of the laser. Once the front of my legs were lasered, I flipped onto my stomach to have the backs of them lasered. The pain was about the same and the gel was applied and scrapped in the same way. One thing I did like is the technician included my feet and knees in the laser of my lower legs. I did make a follow up appointment a month from now. We will see how it goes. It's not a fancy spot, the rooms itself seem quite plain but I think it's worth a try. It's a far drive for me but if I see a difference in my overall hair growth I will continue to make appointments. read more

Go somewhere else! I think a lot of people opt for this place because it's inexpensive (since they are always offering deals on Groupon) but with anything, you get what you pay for. I purchased laser hair removal for a few areas and I feel like every appointment is so rushed. It's such a fast paced office & every time I go there, they try to get you to buy more packages. Everything always seems to be on 'special' which is the first warning sign. They try to sell as much as they can instead of providing services of quality. Not for anything, but every technician I've had was probably under 21 and most of them work part-time so I don't feel like they're fully trained. They're all super nice but they can't be that experienced and I question what kind of training they've had. If I could go back, I would have paid more money and gone to a legitimate place. I think it's also important to see the same tech so they can track the progress as every time I go to this clinic, I have a new person. Also, is it weird that I feel like I'm growing more hair in some areas? :S Another thing. Do not be fooled by Groupon reviews. Notice how almost ALL Groupon reviews are positive? It sims like an amateur business practice that is run very unprofessionally.. In my case the procedure was not done properly, the technician was rough not methodical and not covering all the areas.. After informing the receptionist and talking to the owner on cancellation of future procedures no one even cared to ask the reason or the problems I experienced. I had 7 laser hair removal treatments here for bikini line. My experience here is usually less than satisfactory with the reception. They aren't too friendly and welcoming. There's occasionally very long wait times as well especially in the evening. Some of their technicians are very nice and do a thorough job (especially Gilly). The facilities are clean and tidy. The staff is brutal at answering the phones and they are not great about moving appointments when needed. Their scheduling is often off on days/times so be sure to repeat and confirm the appointment with them. For first timers, they do not offer much information so do some research and make sure that you ask everything before you book your appointment and let them know that it is your first time. During your first visit they will not explain anything either, so be sure to let them know its your first time and again ask questions. read more

I found this clinic through Groupon. It's not the fanciest of places but that's not high up on my agenda - I am happy as long as the service is good. I paid around $69 or $79 to have my armpits lasered and was fairly happy with the service. The receptionist offered me a great deal to have my Brazilian done and naturally I couldn't pass up on such a great deal seeing as how my armpits turned out well. Every time I came in for a session, the technician (usually young and seemingly inexperienced) went over the bikini area and then the other areas very quickly. They were usually not thorough or efficient. To be honest, I'm not sure if they are even qualified because it does not seem professional to do a brazilian laser and not even be able to look "down there". Anyway, that may just be the case for more "personal" procedures. All the hair in my Brazilian area came back. Just a heads up! read more

I bought a voucher to have a full body 1 hr massage at Body & Soul Clinic. Let's just say I was not impressed. I came early to my appointment which was for 1:00PM. I had to fill out forms, fine. But the lady who was apparently going to give me my massage was on lunch. By the time she came back, it was nearly 10 minutes past 1:00. When the lady finally moseyed on over I told myself not to judge her because you never know, she might have the strength of a horse. L-rd knows I needed someone with muscle to untangle my knots. She left me to get undressed, and by the time she made her way back in, it was nearly 20 after. This is for a 1 hour appointment, don't forget. She put on some horrible pop music and squeezed some old looking oil out of a dollar store plastic bottle. Basically, all she really did was swish my skin around with that gross oil. She didn't massage anything. I tried hinting to her that she could go deeper, but she didn't get it. She spent a lot of time on my back (or the skin of my back). She barely touched my arms or legs- especially my right side. It was honestly the laziest massage I've ever had in my life. I have no idea why she is doing this job and to be honest have no idea if she had any credentials. She finished up before 2:00. Do the math there on my 1 hour appointment. Normally I would have spoken up and said something, about the quality and the quantity. But at that point, I did not want her touching me again with that gross oil. I was still feeling the oil on my back on my drive home. I couldn't get into a shower fast enough. On my way out, the receptionist tried to sell me on laser treatments because I did inquire (I knew I would never do it there, I just wanted information to compare it to other places I was looking at). I've been to Body and Soul Clinic last year for laser hair removal. I bought a Groupon deal. They use Soprano XL, which is supposed to be pain free. However, I noticed that I would feel pain on different occasions, depending on which person did the laser for me. I noticed there were different faces every time I visited the place. I felt very rushed for each treatment. Did girls did not seem to be very knowledgeable or expert in the area. I'm not sure if they even have the qualifications. Because I had different girls each time I visited, my experience has varied. Some girls would go back and fort one area very fast to complete the number of counts needed to treat the area. This was the main reason I felt the burning sensation, as one of the easthetician told me that the area should be treated slowly. I did not go back to this place after my groupon deal was over. The place has a good laser machine, it's spacious and bright, however unqualified ladies perform the sessions. I think they would increase their number of customers by training their employees so customers won't feel rushed and burned. Will not be going back. read more

Bought 2 gift packages for friends and was very disappointed. It was a 2 hour Spa massage package that was intended to relieve stress. After she tried to book appts over and over for the RMT and got the same response for the past 3 months, that they were booked up and could not accommodate her. She decided to try to see what else they would do for her before the Gift expired. (Not sure why a PAID Gift should expire) But they offered her ONE 30min facial, and nothing more... So to avoid stressing it she settled. Then she asked for directions and they sent her the wrong way, causing her to be late for the appointment. Not even sure if she got the 30mins since they close at 7pm and they made her leave at that time. My other friend refuses to even try after hearing the stress it caused. I don't recall ever receiving such a terrible customer service as in this place. Very rude receptionists, no respect for customers, not professional. The receptionist confirmed on the phone at the time of purchasing voucher via groupon that a laser hair removal sessions are fine for a 12 year old child. When we arrived at the office we were told that the procedure is not recommended for this age demographic. I was advised to return the voucher to Groupon. Instead I decided to try the treatment myself. I was assured that the office will call me to remind about the upcoming appointment. To my dismay they never called. When I called to inquire I was told that the appointment already passed and they will not reschedule it, as a result I lost 1 appointment. The receptionist showed great inconsistency in her explanation of the event. First she was screaming that it was my responsibility to remember it. Then she yelled that they left me a voice message which was a complete lie. To my bitter disappointment the yelling receptionist actually demanded me not to come for my next appointment and cancel the voucher with groupon (which I did). My calls and a voice message about return of my tax payment which I paid directly to them in the office were not returned. Perhaps this was the point of their advertisement on groupon- not to provide any service but keep HST/tax payments. Not a lot of money but can accumulate from many customers who bought on groupon. I would not recommend this place. I have purchased a few treatment sessions for my girlfriend. Every time when she goes for her treatments the staffs would always make her wait for a long period of time in the waiting area like her time is not important. When she requests to have her inquiry answered the staff would never call her back to give her an update. It seems like this place wants to drive away their customers rather than wanting repeat business.
